Terrible customer service

Honestly words fail me, i chased an order after a week of not receiving the goods, they said they cancelled my order. I asked why and they said due a problem with my card even though it went through fine online and i had funds on it. I asked why i wasn't notified and they said they don't know if there is a problem with an order unless i call them with a reference. How can they run a business with zero customer service.

Another one bites the dust

The pattern of one star ratings highlights how this brand has gone downhill at lightning speed. Within 6 months of entering receivership and being sold to Edinburgh Woolen Mill the customer service has deterioreted beyond words - unhelpful and rude with operating processes that are well below par!
I have made online purchases from Jaeger before and regularly order clothes or shoes from comparable brands like L.K. Bennett and Hobbs or others, ranging from Monsoon and East to M&S or John Lewis. I generally opt for delivery to branches, in order to try things on and make returns on the spot easily, if something doesn't fit. Items can usually be retrieved by my name everywhere and I have never required an order number. Here I was suddenly forced to produce the order reference, which I did not have with me. Staff in the store were refusing to even look for my item, expecting me to go home and return, appx. a 1 1/2 to 2 hour roundtrip with additional cost. I called customer services for assistance, and the person was extremely patronising and rude, first also refusing to help. Eventually, the customer service staff gave in reluctantly and rudely to look up my order number against name and address identification. What could actually have been a very quick and simple process was deliberately obstructed, overcomplicated and turned into a major aggravation. When I eventually received my parcel, I saw that it had my name and address clearly printed on it. They can't be bothered and no customer service manager was available for escalation.
The quality and cut of the wool suit I reluctantly took away is okayish, but nothing like the beautiful Jaeger Black pieces of old times. Another great brand has disappeared.
I have unsubscribed from their email marketing, to avoid being tempted to buy from them again.

Customer service online is unbelievably …

Customer service online is unbelievably bad, the recent experience dealing with them was time-consuming and rather dreadful with lots of misunderstanding and miscommunication involved. Aa loyalty card member, I miss those days shopping in Regent street and Canary Wharf, but when those stores were closed I still buy from Jaeger online or from concessions. I received a gift (a silk scarf) from my mother-in-law because she knows I really like Jaeger.

But unfortunately the scarf was faulty, the stitching came off so I contacted the customer service for help and I was told to send the scarf back for investigation, and then after a few days I was given a refund without asking. It was a gift from a very poorly old woman and I would never ask for a refund. But the customer service agent just proceed a refund against my will and I was not informed that sending it back means not getting it mended or replaced but just refunded.

When I first contacted them I attached a receipt showing my recent order and there was a scarf in my order as well, so the customer service agent refunded me for that scarf (instead of the scarf I sent back) without checking the order number or product code. So even if it is not a gift, I was still refunded for the wrong item with a wrong price. So I need to get the scarf back no matter what, then they start to repeat the same thing again and again, so after exchanging like 20 emails, they agreed to trace it and send it back to me. A week later, after pushing them many times, in the tiny little broken envelop, the faulty scarf came back, still broken and dirty! It was brand new when I sent it back. Anyway, basically I paid postage fee for lots of hassle and get something back in its worse condition. And I got no apology or compensation whatsoever. It was the most unpleasant, time/energy-consuming, confusing experience. They sent me an email in the last correspondence asking me if I am satisfied with their service, the answer is definitely no and I explained why, well, I never get a response from them, so I guess it is just some generic questionnaires and nobody really cares about. I think my local ASDA has better service than this. Guess my heart for Jaeger goes with all the closed stores.

Customer service. I honestly could not believe they were reputed to be Jaeger.

I have now been offered a resolution and my goods are on their way.

Terrible.

Terrible service; ordered items in April and still awaiting a full refund on a duplicate order made in error. Can't get through on the phone and no resolution despite having exchanged almost 20 emails. As a loyalty card member this is appalling. Avoid at all costs.

I returned £170 of goods within a week of receiving them. I used Royal Mail tracking service and it was delivered the next day. However I still have no refund over a month later. My bank is hopefully going to sort it as I purchased on a credit card.

Con artists! Stay away.

poor quality for a jaeger article

Bought the off the shoulder crepe dress which was reduced to £60 in the sale from £199!!! What arrived was a cheap looking sack which came out of the box all crushed!! Very unflattering & cheap looking!! Certainly not what I'd expect of Jaeger far less ever to pay £199 for it!! No wonder there were so many sizes left in sale!!!

Good shop staff, nice looking clothes, but that's it.

Shop staff in Southport really helpful, Jaeger is a cool brand with nice looking and feeling clothing, but that's where the good points end. First is when I wanted a linen shirt. In-store I tried on an L which was a great fit except it seemed to be cut in towards the bottom of the shirt which made it too tight. So I went online and found two Linen shirts - one had collar buttons and no pocket and the other had both a pocket and collar buttons. Same price, same colour. In the shop it had a pocket and no collar buttons - so there's 3 different linen shirts in the same colour all described the same with one not appearing on the website? On the website both were described as "relaxed fit", while as I said the one in the shop seemed more like a tailored fit. So I ordered and what arrived was the same one that was in the shop... So that was a waste of time. In that order I also got a supima polo shirt, which I had seen in the shop and it was a t-shirt like material but super smooth. What arrived in the shop was a pima cotton pique polo which was not what I had seen in the shop. Nevertheless, the polo fit nice and looked nice so I kept it. After one wash it's shrunk a bit and the collar is crinkly and the rest of the material sits weird. It's such a shame because Jaeger looks like it has so much promise but the general experience is not one I'm going to bother with again until the new owners improve things.

Update: Second attempt at ordering from Jaeger. Asked customer service for precise measurements of a sweatshirt. They ignored me so I ordered anyway and it didn't fit. Also tried to get the linen shirt in XL due to the way the last two linen shirts I tried were a bit small in L. This time I got a modern fit one (described as relaxed fit on the website, the last two seemed small but regular fit) which is utterly massive in the chest, arms and length. Again Jaeger show themselves to be incapable of supplying the item you order. They appear to have multiple versions of these linen shirts and it's luck of the draw which you get.

Stressful experience

UPDATED: Much to my relief, full refund eventually received after a long delay and much chasing. Did they honour their obligations? Yes, eventually. Would I buy from this Company again? No.

ORIGINAL POST:

Despite continuing to trade under receivership this company is failing to honour its returns policy. Money debited from my credit card for goods that by their own admission were never sent out is not being refunded, despite repeated delaying e-mails from Customer Services promising payment in 3-5 working days. Appalling treatment bordering on fraudulent, if not actually so. Trading Standards next stop. Avoid.

Everyone shopping on line should be warned

Everyone shopping on line should be warned about your poor service as far as returns are concerned. I returned a dress in perfect condition within 15 minutes of receiving it and am still waiting for £150.00 refund weeks later. Stop advertising on line if you can't run an honest service.

Like others posting on this site, I ordered goods online and returned some for a refund due to ill fit. I have proof of delivery but they say they have not received my parcel, having advised them of proof of delivery they are now ignoring my emails and telephone number goes straight to voicemail. Think I'll be downloading a small claims form next!

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company. They are crooks, and do not honour what they state on their website. They owe me for returned goods and have been fobbing me off for weeks despite having proof of postage, delivery etc etc. I believe they are owned by an obscure hedge fund whose managers are scamming suckers like me. Customer service i s provided by Peacocks and is non existent.

I am owed nearly £100 in refunds …

I am owed nearly £100 in refunds processed on 14 April - the money is still not received. Jaeger are blaming this on WorldPay and the issues over their being in administration.

It is highway robbery.....

Please beware of this. I would not want anyone else to get caught in this way.

Not even worth for 1 star

Not even worth for 1 star. But without giving a star this site did not allow me to write.
I purchased some clothes for my dad and my husband and i received it on time.
I don't normally check quality of these delivery but luckily I noticed a trouser looked it been used for some time ( well used) and not cleaned. But someone made effort to write hand written label.I did not expect this from this company and as soon as I noticed I took pictures and sent it to customer services. I was told to return that trouser for an investigation and refund.
I did not hear from them so I called them after number of emails. I was really shocked by their reply as they stopped giving refund. I told the, that I purchased and returned before they went in to administration. They agreed to give refund but I did not get any refund and it is more than a month now.
No one answering my calls and I'm keep getting sales email from them. I called consumer helpline they said as they are registered in the company house they will refund me. But I'm left out with nothing.

Jaeger outlet

No longer issuing refunds for online sales, sadly this is not acceptable.

I note that they are still attempting to sell online, but not refunding on items that have actually been returned, despite offering a 14 day return policy.......this is not acceptable practice as far as I'm concerned.

Poor quality of making

I have bought a two piece suit and a wool sweater last year. Both have since started falling apart only after a few uses, which I have not initially noticed, so would not be able to return my merchandise and had to repair them at my cost.

I would have expected better quality consider a slightly premium price compared to other closely comparable brands.

very poor quality

I agree with the below comment. I purchased a jumper from their online website (so directly from them!) and after wearing it twice all the material was starting to come out and it was practically unusable. I paid around £50 for the product, and the quality is much worse than the cheaper highstreet chains. I emailed customer service and did not hear back. Will not shop there again.

Poor quality, poor aftercare

I bought 2 jumpers in the sale from the Outlet and while the fit and colour are good, the quality is not, piling on the first wear and just getting worse. I'm so glad I didn't pay full price for them. I emailed customer services, twice, to try and leave feedback and it has taken a while for them to come back to me. Then i was told that there was no capability to leave a review if products have been bought in a sale or at an Outlet! So basically, if you buy in a sale or at an Outlet you have no voice which I think is ridiculous.
I have since emailed again to suggest they should change their policy, but have not heard anything. This is the first time i have bought anything from Jaeger, it will be the last.
