The software is free to use. A good investment for making or storing your pics and videos. Making my slides and sharing large file that you can't send through your email client. I recommend Jalbum

A truly easy-to-use and useful software programme
I have been using this software for years without any problems. It is relatively easy to use and produces albums that can be easily integrated into the pages of my website. A purchase I do not regret at all.
The only time I had a minor issue with this software (in the Linux version), I received a solution immediately.

Hi. Thanks for your feedback. You can set a username/password for each sub folder of your gallery. Please write to feature requests under our user forum at https://jalbum.net/forum and explain how you want it to behave.
Features seem a little hard to find
Mostly, jalbum is great. But one of the new features, links, I was keen to try. So far, I've been unable to find out how to use them. So far, copy'n'paste is just the vanilla copy'n'paste, no "links" option that I can see. Videos a la VSDC would be helpful, I think.
Update: the response from Jalbum below seems to do the trick. So I've upped my stars a bit accordingly.

Ah, just open Preferences->Explorer and set "When adding files" to either "Link" or "Ask". Now you'll get to create links easily. You can alternatively use the platform specific qualifier keys (ALT, SHIFT, CTRL) to trigger a link creation.

Unable to use background music. That is unfortunate! Have music on some of my old albums but does not work anymore.
