I bought my first knife from JCK about 10 years ago and have ordered my kitchen knives there again and again since then.
Whenever I had a question, it was answered quickly and in an exemplary manner and I have always been very satisfied.
I can give this shop a very clear recommendation in every aspect.

From the onset, from my first order from JCK, I have enjoyed my interactions with them. Responses, purchases, deliveries have always been delivered in a timely way. Their products are of the highest quality.
Since discovering them for my personal knife use, and in our Cafe, I have been so impressed that I have gifted multiple people with knives and JCK products. I have never been let down. And I continue, after more than a decade, to be more impressed.

Although, I have indulged in nicer knives, for my own use, most purchases have been of very practical knives, tools for the kitchen. Knives that retain sharpness, slice nicely, and feel good to use. Also their selection of sharpening stones is great and all that one will need to maintain excellent slicers.

Great selection of knives. Unfortunately the third party wishlist must be down. In order to look at knives you might want to purchase. You’ll have to put them in your cart. Also out of a lot of 8.2 /210mm knives. Sold out of a lot of knives. Hoping that works it’s self out during the 2025 product year

Excellent products shipped quickly without issues.

The handle weighted knife fits comfortably in the hand. I won’t say anything about the cut, I haven’t actively used it yet.

Of the minuses:
The pen has an unpleasant smell, as on the PRO-J series, as support wrote, it will pass, personally, on the PRO-J series, it passed in a month and a half.
I also got a knife in which the heel was not sharpened, it seems that at the time of sharpening, the apprentice's hand trembled. It is worth noting that the previous knives that I bought here, and this is already about a dozen, did not have such a problem. In other matters, when the knife becomes dull, I will correct it myself.

I have mentioned it previously in my other reviews that it is impossible to find a better Japanese Knife store. Japanese Chef Knife store, JCK offers excellent high quality Japanese Knife from the very best famous manufacturer in Japan as well as their own manufacturing. There are a number of things that make this Store unique: Best quality Japanese Knife with best price available, fast and problem free shipment to your home, the quickest customer service and care I have experienced with special friendliness from Company's staff. And 5 stars are not enough. If I want to buy Japanese Knife which is the only Knife I would buy I know only JCK store, why? there are other stores as well but there is a huge price, fit and finish differences as well as hidden third hand expenses you are not aware of which it comes to your surprise. Highly recommend it. You will thank me for encouraging you to buy from this Store. Trust me.

I ordered 3 knives (order#169741) totaling almost $1000 USD and was thanked for the order, told that my order was being prepared and then later I was notified that the order was cancelled and the charges refunded (to my card) and all without an explanation.
Poor customer service/communication at this point.
Don’t have an option but to recommend the product or not, which I can’t do BUT marking no at this point due to poor communication from the company itself regarding fulfilling my order.
All three items indicate that they are in stock. Are they just really trying to sell their own brand and can’t fulfill other knife orders? Bait and switch??? I don’t know. Poor communication is not comforting. Hopefully they can make this right with me. I do want to think good things and do business with them, but we shall see how this is resolved. I will then repost comment on here IF positive outcome results.

Disheartening to see that one poster said that JCK only post positive reviews so that is why I posted on here as well as on their site. Will revise once I my issue is resolved by them. Until then, be wary.

Amendment:
They did send a follow up e-mail staing that their system had a problem with my payment. It was odd that when I called my bank, they stated that the payment went through and then they later issued a credit the same day. Not sure if they just want people to use PayPal (for an unknown reason to me) and not be directly processed by JCK. Who knows. I sent several e-mails to JCK and am waiting to hear back before again placing an order with them.
Will follow up if there is a positive outcome.

Very nice and helpful. Very fast shipping from Japan to the USA, i blinked and it was here.

After less than one year of non-intensive using my petty 150mm knife blade started moving out of handle. I can put it back by keeping knife for blade and knocking of solid surface but after that blade starts moving again. This is very annoying.

So i have used this website allot before, with great result.
But the Christmas 2021 i bought a knife for my mom, the knife started to chip and had huge flaws in the medal.
I write a couple of complaints, and 0 answers, but i do get new offers almost every single day. For a company that sends me 300 mails a year, its crazy to me that they just complete ignore my complaints and it leaves me to the conclusion that i will never buy from them again.
