Rude cosmetics help
We were told in the jewelry department to go to cosmetics to check out since there was quite a line in jewelry and no one in cosmetics. The girl in cosmetics was very rude - not one other customer in that area and she bulked at checking us out because she only wanted to sell cosmetics. She whined the whole time about checking us out and shouldn't be doing it.
Assistant Manager
There is an assistant manager named Rachel Petty that is unprofessional and uneducated she is giving JCPenney an awful image and representation. Her treatment towards people is not acceptable she also has favoritism in helping certain people. Please if corporate executives can help solve this issue I be grateful because one should be able to shop at any JCPenney and feel welcome and comfortable in shopping at any place
JC Penney worst customer service possible!
JC Penney customer service outright lied to me about cancelling an order, then about fixing the fact that the order was going to the wrong address after it was cancelled and finally told me there was nothing they could do about the incompetence of their customer service team or the fact that I never received my order because it was shipped to as address over 1,000 miles from where I live. I had to cancel the charges through my credit card company. A complete lack of customer service is why they are failing. After being a loyal customer for nearly 50 years I will never order from them again. I just don’t have time to make six phone calls get no results or satisfaction for a glitch in their system!
Nevermore
Years ago I purchased Arizona t-shirts from JCP. When I saw them on sale I bought 10 shirts to replace the old ones. When I got them home I washed & dried them without looking closely at them. When I wore one the next day I was sooo disappointed. The fabric was very thin and the size small was much larger than it should be - more like a medium-sized. It was obvious when I looked closer the shirts were far inferior to what I bought years ago. So sad JCP has declined in quality.
When I went to return them JCP refused to honor the return because I washed them. My message to all is don't wash their junk until you are real sure you want to keep it and watch out for bad quality products.
JC Penney forces tips
I placed an online order with Target.com
December 3rd #902001829193161
For two items one an air mattress at $99.00 And the other, large ziplock bags for $2.99. My total I believe was $107.00. I then paid $9.99 for same day delivery. At the time I placed the order both items were in stock and available.
Well JC Penney canceled the air mattress for some reason and delivered the $2.99 bags for the $9.99 same day delivery. Which totaled $13.42 - But, they charged my credit card $151.66
Because, when you place a same day delivery they charge you an extra 25% incase they substitute your item. So, they charged 25% extra of the original purchase. But, I selected no substitutes.
Well I had to call JC Penney and get everything corrected, they gave me back the $9.99. And a 10% discount on a reorder
of the air mattress.
The problem is I had to order the new air mattress through the online representative, because The online website would not let
me order anything until I tipped the person who did the same day delivery.
Tipping is an option and you shouldn't be forced to tip!!! Especially when you're not happy with the service.
Following up with my order from last…
Following up with my order from last week. I created my account on UPS like JCP recommended and I have an updated address. But guess what UPS still delivered my package to my old address in another state. This is so unbelievable. JCP lied to me. They got my money and I did not get my package. What a disappointment! All liars!
really fast delivery
really fast delivery. Was exactly what I ordered
Checkout ar jcpenny
Don't understand that jcpenny would only have one cashier check out area now. I guess they are trying to be like kohls, but kohls also have self checkouts just really sad that they have you waiting 45mins to pay for your items.
Shipped my order to a 10 year old…
Shipped my order to a 10 year old address and they could care less. They got my money and I did not get my products.
They are offering Lenox Portola 65…
They are offering Lenox Portola 65 piece flatware for $298.00 Really? It's $109.00 on Wayfair or Ebay. Seems like a Holy rip-off to me!
Penney's - Not the store it used to be
I shopped at Penney's for decades—it used to be my favorite store. However, after major changes, it lost its appeal. The local Penney's in my town is small and offers limited inventory. When they added a Sephora, they reduced clothing options even further. I was going to start ordering online but was surprised they charged for ship-to-store, especially since the items weren’t available locally.
A couple of years ago, I ordered a bathing suit online, and it arrived with a hole. Returning it was a nightmare—the staff treated me like a thief despite not having returned anything for years. Even my son was shocked by their behavior.
Recently, after years of avoiding the store, I decided to order some yoga pants I love. The first order was delivered to the wrong city, and while I wanted a replacement, the rep issued a refund instead. I reordered and received a notice that the items had been shipped, but six days later, UPS still hadn’t received the package. When I called Penney's to ask about it, they told me I had to wait two more weeks to take further action—meanwhile, they have my money.
This experience sealed it for me: I’ll never shop at Penney’s again. It’s disappointing because it once was a great store.
Not Been to JC Penney for Years.
I had not been to JC Penney for years and decided to order online. Order went fine. Per the delivery, the oversized box was crushed, absolutely no protection for the product (2 pair of boots, 2 belts). Shoe boxes were nearly smashed flat. Unfortunately, the boots were too small so I reordered online for a larger size. They were received and fit fine, but this time they were put into a plastic bag (shoe boxes were damaged again). Now the order I'm trying to return is not showing up in my order history so I went to Live Chat. Upon trying to make the return of the smaller size boots, I got the 3rd degree like it was my fault & had to constantly repeat myself, finally shut down chat. Then called the customer service line... took forever to get past their "bot" to speak with someone live since the order was not showing up in my account. The gentleman I spoke with was great and I got my UPS return label. For something that should have taken minutes, took nearly 45 minutes to get a return label. Will I go back to JC Penney? NEVER. Awful experience.
Jordan,at Stonecrest Mall
Jordan,at Stonecrest Mall, was my fabulous cashier! She was multi-tasking helping me with a price check and then gave another guest directions. She was friendly. Another young lady offered me help in the perfume and beauty section.
The whole store was neat and clean.
I had a very good shopping experience…
I had a very good shopping experience yesterday in the store. The associate was very helpful. Her name is Kalpana.
I’ll never order from JC Penny online…
I’ll never order from JC Penny online again! The last two of three items needed to be returned and it’s an impossible task getting a return label. When you call it’s a life-like automated recording that is pushing to sell a Life Alert devise. There is no live person to talk to, I called back 3 times and got the exact recorded message from “Jessica” pushing the devise.
It took way too long to receive my item, my order doesn’t appear in my order history and now I have no way to talk to anyone to get a return label, which they charge $8 for. NEVER AGAIN!!! Don’t waste your money or time ordering online!
They sent me the wrong item
They made it right. I received my money back for the item that was wrong.
They sent me the wrong item. I messaged them on X. Then expected me to reorder and return to a store 45+ minutes from me all because THEY made the mistake. Done shopping here.
Received a $15 off $15 or more coupon
Received a $15 off $15 or more coupon. Found an item that would apply (since there are a ton of restrictions). Entered the code and pin and only $10 came off. Called customer service, first issue is when AI answered and went around in circles until I was able to get a live person. Well they were no better. Explained the issue, they said something about some items you will only get $10 off and put me on hold to confirm this. Came back and said yeah that item is only eligible for $10 off. I tried to explain that the coupon reward is for $15 and I read all of it and there is nothing about only getting $10 off. I asked if he knew which items that applied to so I could use it on the correct items and he hung up on me. Obviously he had no idea what he was talking about and was trying to get me off the phone. I know companies are having a hard time finding competent people but they are going to lose customers if they don't get their s**t together. I am a long time loyal customer but the last few orders I've placed have caused more grief that what it's worth and I will start using their competitors instead.
**One-Star Review for JCPenney Hair…
**One-Star Review for JCPenney Hair Salon, Fredericksburg, VA**
I am thoroughly disappointed with the service my 80-year-old mother received at JCPenney Hair Salon. After waiting several days for an appointment with Shannon, we arrived for our 1 PM appointment only to find the salon closed. We waited for 20 minutes before seeking help at the customer service desk, where communication was difficult due to language barriers. After 45 minutes of waiting, we learned that Shannon wouldn’t be coming in and the salon was closed for the day.
Fast forward three weeks, we attempted to schedule another appointment, specifically asking for a time when Shannon would be available and no weekends. We confirmed a new appointment, only to receive a call at 11:30 AM on the day of the appointment, informing us that Shannon wouldn’t be in. We were offered an alternative stylist, Thelma, but when I spoke with the manager, they initially agreed to a 20% discount. However, when Thelma got on the line, she refused to honor this discount, insisting on charging us $90 for a service that typically costs $60.
Despite the manager’s initial commitment to the discount, they backed out, leaving us confused and frustrated. We reluctantly agreed to the inflated price, only to arrive at the salon at 1:40 PM, where my mother fell ill while waiting in the lobby. To top it all off, the stylist informed us she would be 30 minutes late, further wasting our time.
This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. JCPenney used to be a reliable choice, but this level of service is unacceptable. If you're considering this salon, I strongly advise against it. Avoid Shannon and Thelma at all costs!
The Manager is useless and has no value. The regional manager has not called me back and the request was made 3 weeks ago.
Item not delivered and no help from customer service.
Ordered 2 pairs of denim jeans. Received 1 pair. All the accompanying documents said there were two pairs. Customer service refused to help me and ignored my follow up emails. Completely useless scam of a company.
Returns
I bought two pair of slacks and removed the tags and packed them into my suitcase. When I went to use them, I found them defective and put them back into my suitcase. When I returned from my trip I tried to return them, (receipt in hand) and was told that without the tags I could not return them. I guess they want the tags so they could sell them to the next sucker. I have been shopping at JCPenney since the 1950s and my parents before me; never again.
