Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Customer support is only by toll free phone, which means waiting on the phone for over half an hour while being informed you still have 100 customers waiting to be assisted before you.
It is the only company in the world that doesn´t have a live chat or an email address to speed things up for their not-so valuable customers.
Ordered a small part advertised as ¨"in stock" three weks ago. Next day received an email from Jegs informing me that the order shipped and an USPS tracking number.
As said, three weeks later the status of the order in the USPS tracking page reads "pre-shipped", which means that Jeg´s has not yet delivered the package to USPS for shipping.
The imposibility of reaching the vendor that has already have your money in his pocket for three weeks and hasn´t send anything yet is quite frustrating, specially when he is trying to fool his customer sending fake shipping confimation emails.
To make things worst imagine you are 5000mls away from them!
Haven´t bought from Jeg´s for over ten years, and everything went fine back then, but now the story is absolutely different.
Will continue to spend my money in Summittracing, as so far their service can not be beaten.
They do not understand Customer Service
Long read, but worth your time. I have been a long time Summit Racing customer. I had a need for some new tires. I went to Summit but for some reason decided to check Jegs too. Jegs offered a $50 discount, so I figured the same product, basically the same prices but a $50 coupon, what could go wrong? Well, my tires showed up. 2 M/T 235/60R15 and what was supposed to be 2 M/T 275/60R15. But one of those was not like the other. They shipped one M&H 390/40R17, not even close. Now I get it, mistakes happen. Summit has even made some in the past, but here is where Jegs and Summit differ, customer service! I called Jegs because there is no clear way to process this kind of mistake online. I am number 60 in the queue!! One hour and 15 minutes waiting for an agent, and what makes it worse I called in on another phone while waiting and went to the option to place a new order, they picked right up, tells you where their priorities are. So I am on the phone for 10 minutes with this rep, nice enough person, doing her job. Told her I needed a return label from FedEx to pickup their mistake and my tire that I actually ordered shipped. She then puts me on hold for another 10 minutes and comes back. They cannot ship my tire, the tire I ordered and paid for but they did not ship properly. They need the tire they mistakenly sent me, process the RMA once received then they would ship my tire. We would be talking easily a week. At this point no way am I giving them even more money to cover their mistake to ship now. Again, I get it, mistakes happen, but when you do not own up to it and fix it that is on you. And that is what separates the good companies from the bad. I mean lets face it, Summit and Jegs sell the same stuff at basically the same prices, it is customer service and separates the good from the bad, and Jegs is the bad. Not saying Summit has never made a mistake with me, they have, but they also made it right and not made me run through hoops. Oh, and how did I resolve? I told Jegs to RMA the tire so I would get a refund and ordered the one tire from Summit. Oh, and they told me I had to take even more of my time and my gas to drive 15 miles to the FedEx drop off location to return their mistake. And the topping on the cake, when they finally refunded me they refunded for the cheaper smaller M/T and not the missing bigger M/T. So I had to call back in (this time number 90 in the queue) to get the rest of my money. Never again Jegs, never again. Should have kept the $600 M&H and sold it, the M/T was only $280, but unlike Jegs I do things right.

If I could give negative stars I would. I bought a cowl hood for $568 dollars and when I got it it had a dent in it. Finally got ahold of them after being on hold for two and a half hours they tell me they won't exchange or return it. Like how in the hell can a business get away with selling junk for top dollar and just say sorry about your luck. Do better Jegs!!!!!

These guys are a bunch of thriving lieing crooks when you place an order for a motor and all the accessories to go with it worth about $ 9,000 and your told everything is in stock should be to you in about 2 weeks awesome right wrong then you start getting email after email telling you all sorts of parts are now back ordered accessories sure not a big deal but then you get the big one that says the motor they said was in stock in the warehouse across the road is now back ordered buy 3 and a half months so you call them to see what’s going on and they tell you that’s right sorry but you checked with 5 people there and they all said it’s in stock s you cancel your order and they rob you of $700 for what all they did was lie to you conclusion call a Canadian company takes less time to get cost less and they don’t lie to you

I ordered street slicks from Jegs, they sent thye wrong ones, Jacob Hartsock, the customer service person, I was dealing with lied to me told me I would get the right slicks in 3 to 5 business days and I did not, I aked for refund so I could buy what I needed, they finally sent the tires( just one) but, again they are the wrong tires and they in not so many words basiclly refused me my money back on their screw up.
I have had it with Jegs, im filing a complaint with the BBB, against Jegs, when the Cofflin family owned Jegs, you could get what you ordered in timely manor. They defrauded me out of $568.00 plus, thats not going happen, they forced me to buy, these tires, and thats not what I bought, its the bate aand switch.They need to be put out of business. im going to try and do that if possible. If everyone will complain to the BBB about them doing this enough they will stop them, period.

I was hired by jegs for the customer service department and found out there are only 6 people taking calls, reps are required to sell 30% for return labels on all customer returns or they get "coached" on how to take customer's money for shipping wrong parts back. After about 7 days total of training on an outdated system that's so old it still uses F key commands I was put on live calls and expected not to bother the supervisor with any questions. After 5 weeks I was fired because I asked too many questions to verify I was doing correct procedures because reps get wrote up if they don't follow procedures to the letter. So the hold times will never get any better because they fire people who ask supervisors to actually do something instead of eating and bullying new employees. That and the customer service supervisor forged my signature just to get me to leave.

Takes hours to get anyone to answer is #1 and they said they sent my order that paid for only to find out that is was on backorder. On line showed that I had received it. So I canceled it and still have not seen the money back in my account. On hold with them now and the time waiting is now 59min. Will not get my business back. I have now been on the wait for 2hrs and 12 min now the 13th in line. You'll be better off to call your credit card company to get the money back and it will be faster. I don't recommend ever buying here.
Extremely poor customer service
Extremely poor customer service! Ordered a couple of sway bars for my RV. One of them the box was damaged. It was missing parts. Attempted to contact customer service about that issue. Was call number 112 in line for a representative spend an hour and a half waiting and then join to chat to care my request. Said they would get the parts sent to me from the manufacturer. This did not happen! Called the manufacturer, Hellwig, direct and had the missing parts in 4 days. They answered the call on the first ring and were very apologetic for the shipping issue. Parts are now installed and work great! Huge difference! Buy them from another supplier!!

Ordered a shifter from jeggs, e-mail said it would be here in 3 days, a week later get an e-mail that said the shifter is on back order. Sitting here now, on the phone for almost 2 hour's and at number 43, Wow what a disaster, never again.

Shows as having the parts 'available' but they arent in stock and you dont find that out until youve ordered and paid. I waited over 2 months for my order to be dispatched.

Purchased a radio for my car and it came in pieces that I would have to put together to try to fit my car. I Was supposed to put it together like i'm putting together a model car for $450 to have to put a radio together. Took 4 and a 1/2 hours to talk to someone about this problem to get a return label and I had to pay $13.74 for a return label. Never again. Will I do business with this company.

Worst Customer Service on the Planet!
Jegs has the worst Customer Service of any company I have ever had to deal with! If you need to talk to AI online, be prepared to wait. You will be #35 in line or more. If you want to talk to a live person over the phone, be prepared to wait even longer. I was #60 last time and had to hang up after 90 minutes. By then I was #29. This time, I was #102 in line. We returned a product which we did not order. It was double shipped to us, some sort of computer error. They received the product according to Fedex 10 days ago. We have not received any acknowledgement of the return nor has our card been credited. It is impossible to get through to customer service.
