This company are awful to deal with I bought a new carpet from them which I had delivered and fitted once it was fitted I noticed a big defect right down the middle of the room I phoned them to ask them to replace it which I was assuming since it was their crap quality caroet that someone would have been out the next day to inspect and replace the carpet. Instead what happened is I phoned the store who said they can’t do anything until the area manager comes out which couldn’t happen for 4 more days. Eventually the area manager comes out agrees there is a defect offers me back either an insulting £80 or to replace the carpet I said replace because I’m getting furniture delivered the next day I need it done right away but no they can’t do it for another 4 days as far as I’m concerned it’s their mistake they should be doing what they have to to sort the problem. I work from home Id taken a week off to get my room decorated and sorted out which meant I can’t work because the furniture from that room is spread all over the house including what I need for my work. So now I’m going to have to take another week off which means lose another weeks wages which will put me in financial difficulty. I saved up to be able to take a week off and to get my room done but now thanks to JEM not giving a f### I’m stuck having to lose a weeks wages tbeir carpets are crap quality and their staff are useless. I will never use them again. I got my last carpet from
j and w and when there was a problem three weeks after the carpet had started to come up they got their fitter out the same day and fixed it. I expected the same from JEM but no so I would neither recommend them or use them again they are a total nightmare.

Brilliant shop big John went above and beyond to help me they came on day they said William and Michael the carpet fitters were amazing even helped me with heavy furniture I couldn't be more happier with them all I love my floor would definitely recommend a big thankyou from me

Choose parquet flooring and it was fitted by Tom, he done an amazing job and we are very happy with it. Thanks Tom and would use again.

Visited the shop on Dumbarton Road. The guys asked me if I wanted help, but let me wander around when I declined. When I found what I was looking for, They were brillinat.

Gave me a good deal on the expesive one I got, and recommended a very simliar but even cheaper carpet than the other one I picked out.

The fitting, was fine. Guys left a bit of a mess, the fitting was really well done though. Looks great.

Four stars over all. Only reason I'm giving five. One of the guys was cutting out a bit from a roll. The way he was doing it, the way the sun was shinning in. Total Tom of Finland monment.

Amazing experience. Choice of carpets was brilliant. Cannot believe that we got the carpet we wanted £15 cheaper here at Jem Carpets in comparison to a competitor… the service we got was unbelievable.

The staff in the store (Larkall)… we’re first class. Super helpful, super knowledgeable, and the carpet fitters were the best that we have ever had. The service from them was incredible, like, not what you expect from a carpet fitter, the banter, checking to make sure everything was perfect…

We are renovating, so won’t be going anywhere else for the rest of the flooring.

Be aware if the advice Drummond fitting laminate. They did ours and they cut the laminate to short and hence it moved and having to kick it back in. The day Drummond came out it was a young lad that thought it was alright to have a carry on hence bad work.

I used the Hillington branch for my carpets and flooring. The guys couldn’t have been more helpful, Peter and John especially were great and nothing was a problem for them. Carpet fitters were fantastic also, polite, friendly and cleaned up after themselves. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I bought 7 packs flooring and beading from shop at forge, have one pack left unopened and contacted them to say I would bring it back, they said no problem it will be a credit note, I paid with my card it should be put on my card, will never use them again.

Shocking shop in Hilington industrial estate. The guy in the shop who wears the hat is rude and the carpet fitters left a terrible mess inside and outside the house carpet cuttings left everywhere massive cuttings tossed over a newly painted bannister and fitting very slack, came in from work and had to spend 40minutes cleaning their mess then take all the cuttings to the dump on my day off. Called the shop to complain and basically told its a new carpet mate (I’m female) this happens. Not with my £500 it doesn’t mate, plenty other carpet shops round about them so they should remember their not invincible. I only used them because didn’t have time to browse other stores but that’ll be my last and will definitely not be recommending to anyone

One of the carpets stank of cats pee and they sent an area manager out who, surprise surprise couldn't smell anything. He said it was chemicals and it will go away in a week. I said don't take me for a mug, the other one is fine. I threw it out and got one better and cheaper from Scs and I'll be pursuing jem for my money back.

Always been good for carpets but got wooden flooring installed and ever since the slats move around and can be dangerous. Area manager was out and said its moisture in the air or some other excuse, but I know lots of people with wooden flooring and they don't have the same issue (we must have special air in our house).

Do not use this firm. Atrocious customer service. Now worried about the quality of what we bought. From sales people to fitters their attitude was unprofessional and confrontational. Avoid like the plague.

The attitude of the staff was bad from the start. They openly complained to each other when I bought a carpet from the sample catalogue. Fitting took weeks and weeks with no communication from them. The carpet fitters filled every bin for my stair with waste, so a complaint was made against me and I had to pay for it to be removed. The owners attitude to this was flippant, passive aggressive and unprofessional.
