Avoid JLAB at all costs! Really really bad product quality for a high price

TLDR: Avoid at all costs! Really really bad product quality for really high price

This is honestly just a really bad company that makes really, really bad products. I'm actually shocked by how boldly and confidently they seem to continue marketing their products despite the internet being full of negative reviews and complaints.

I bought the JLab Epic Air Sport ANC True Wireless On-Ear-Earphones and the battery just didn't work. I would charge the wireless earphones, but as soon as I took them out of the charging case, the battery was empty. Considering I paid over 120 Euros, I decided to give it another shot and exchange them for a "new" pair. Same problem. These problems led me to Trustpilot and Reddit and now I regret having ever bought from JLab. But at least I got my money back.

AVOID JLAB EAR BUDS - UNSAFE!!!

I purchased some anc earbuds at the airport, didn't keep the box so unsure of exact model. Two issues that are potentially hazardous: 1. they feedback/squeal which can damage hearing and 2. The tiny mesh came out of one when I was cleaning it, which could have potentially entered my ear cavity. THESE NEED TO BE RECALLED IMMEDIATELY!

Glaring issues with pairing.

I’ve used these for around a year and generally they’ve been fine, with decent sound quality and a charge that lasts several hours. But the pairing issues are very frustrating. Who ever came up with the touch sensitive pairing should be fired. It doesn’t work.

Misleading and slow

Ordered the earbuds four days ago. Got an email the next day saying it was dispatched and I was impressed. Fast forward 4 days and seeing I'm not getting any other updates, I went to check. The only progress so far is that the shipping label was created. When I tried to track the order I was taken to a Swedish(!) website and when I put in the tracking number got a message (in Swedish, thank god for Google translate) saying they hadn't received the item yet. Misleading and slow. Unimpressed. Ordered elsewhere and will return these when they come as I needed them as a present and it doesn't look like they'll be here on time. Let's hope the quality isn't as misleading as the communication.

Sketchy price changes

I put an item in my cart at 11:00 p.m. the item was $19.99 plus tax came to less than $22. The next morning I went to make the purchase as I opened up my cart a pop up said prices are being adjusted and will reflect in your cart. That item went up $5 in a little over 12 hours. Contacted customer support and was given zero help or relief.

Serious connectivity issues

-I have connectivity issues all the time. It is always problematic to connect from one device to the other.
-When I connect to a TV or a PC, there is always a delay between the sound and the image.
-I have the earphones for 6 months now, I am fed up, I am going to buy new ones, when usually I keep earphones for years.

I wouldn't advise anyone to buy

I wouldn't advise anyone to buy. From this company bought a pair. That didn't work right. Got two pair in place of the one. Didn't think to try the other pair. When I did they didn't work. They sent me some used ear buds. No they didn't inform me of that either. Only found out going to the site. Looking at what I was sent. For them to even do that. To a customer is a sorry company. That could careless about its customers. Don't bother with them at all. If you take the risk. Double check they aren't sending you. Used merchandise when the money. You spent wasn't for used products. Hate I ever spent money with them.

JLAB > Apple/Beats

Apple and Beats used to have a high quality product but not worth the money now. You're only buying the name with them. Their stuff (apart from phones) are junk. I would have to go atleast a four star for JLAB while below a 1 for apple/beats. I agree with some that some of their products can be glitchy but really for the price and the insurance offered I could still almost go to a 5. I had the cheaper set of the sport buds that go around the ears. The first pair never had an issue other than me not charging them enough. But I moved an misplaced that set and bought another. That set had something going on with the sound quality like it had no noise cancellation or something. They were warrantied out and in turn I got the Go Pods ANC. They have been absolutely excellent. Never yet had an issue at all. I will say I don't care much for how they charge but I can deal. I wear them working out all the time and I'm a bigger guy so I sweat a ton. Not an issue. They may pop out once when I get super sweaty and I am making quick motions but usually just press them back in after a quick wipe and they're good to go. I do recommend the cloud foam bud tips. I'll use either one but I really like the foam.
Now with all that being said, they also have super cheap but extremely amazing insurance. If you have an issue you just make a claim with the Extend insurance and within 5 business days tops (3 if your attentive to it) you will have a resolution that you'll be super happy with. No long hours on the phone. No lengthy forms to fill. Just answer a couple questions and give your info, they respond super fast and then you just send a couple pictures and you're done. Highly recommend the Extended insurance. For how cheap it is you're a fool to not buy it. It even covers accidental damage which the warranty does not.
I have a set of Beats and have had airpods. For the price difference and the super simple process for customer support, JLab all the way. My beats which were 2 1/2 months old had to be warrantied out at the beginning of this month and I broke my JLabs a week later and the JLabs were back in my hand by like Tuesday with me starting the process on a Saturday a week after dealing with apple. The beats however which I started a week sooner was not completed til the week after I got my Jlabs back and even then Apple sent me damaged and nonfunctional buds twice. I'm still dealing with the Beats issues!!! And the customer support for apple is a joke. Simply a call center only God knows where and is fairly useless. Ive had to spend hours on the phone and in chat as well as going to the store for the Beats and still don't have it fixed while in 1/10 of the time my brand new JLabs are here and being used as I type all this.

Thank you JLab. I am not treated like just a dollar sign with your services. You make a nice product at a fair price. And when it comes to support, service, and quality you stand behind your products honestly.

Apple... Do better. You get our money then we can f*** off. You stand behind blockades like a scared child hiding and terrified of being found out.

Good quality bad notifications

The quality is good and the headphones have a very long battery life. They are comfortable and a decent option. However every time they reach 30 percent or lower which they consider low battery it will pause everything your playing once every 30 seconds to scream low battery at you even when it will still last a few hours and the worst part is you cannot shut the notification off so if you get annoyed by frequent interruptions I wouldnt buy any of these as it will make the headphones near completely unusable until you charge it

Broke in less than 2 weeks

I purchased the JLab GO+ true wireless earbuds. The left one broke in less than 2 weeks, it no longer charges. JLab offer a 2 year warranty but the catch is you need to post the defective item to the USA at your own cost. This is useless if you live outside the USA. It would cost more than the product. Absolute garbage.

JLab blocked me for complaining about their defective product

[Buyer Beware] JLab blocked me for complaining about their defective product
Purchased the JLab Epic Sport ANC3 on June 26, 2025 from Amazon. Worked great for the first few days, then started skipping audio, stuttering, and bass distortion—feels like the drivers just gave up. It’s not even a month old.
I contacted JLab support on July 18 and followed up with the CEO when I got no help. Instead of resolution, I was blamed for escalating and then blocked on Facebook for calling out their awful customer service. No replacement, no refund, not even a response.
I’ve since filed a complaint with the BBB, started a charge dispute with my bank, and gathered all documentation: purchase invoice, support emails, CEO correspondence, and screenshots of the social media block.
If you're considering buying anything from JLab, stay far away. Their support is non-existent, and they’ll shut down communication the second you push for accountability.

This is trash you I can't go more then 6 feet without the connection disappearing what is the point in a wireless headphone if can't leave you phone more then five feet away. Not to mention you can't move you head left or right to crack you neck because it changed you music; which wouldn't be a bad idea if you didn't need to Carry you phone. So I think I will just stick to the cheaper headphone they are basically the same this Bluetooth stuff is not special

Warranty too good to be true

It has been over 3 weeks and I have seen no attempt from Jlab to make any movements towards fulfilling their warranty and satisfying their customer. less than a yr my earbuds stop working. 5 mins in both earbuds go dead. Jlab was very responsive in the beginning and made sure they did everything in their power to make you think you're a valued customer. Once you do what they asked to start your warranty claim they disappear and the excuses start. I have reached out multiple times asking what is going on..only to be told passively to basically wait a bit longer or its low stock or some bs excuse with no real solution. I am such a fan of jlab that I even bought another pair while waiting for my replacements...thinking it would show up. At this point I have given up. I truly felt taken. From what I read from other unhappy customers, is that if youre the lucky few they have chosen to honor the warranty you have to pocket out as much money as the item itself. I WONT be DOING THAT. I truly believe the warranty is just a scam to get you to buy. I had Jabra's before and they sent me replacements without issues (3 pairs in a yr). Your customer service needs work like your earbuds, JLAB! shame on you! I will pay 3x as much for other brands if Im treated better. Your customer service department has a future in telemarketing if this doesn't work out for them. :)

Avoid

I was bought a pair of JBuds Air Sport for Christmas. Just inside the 2-year warranty one of the earbuds stopped charging. No amount of trouble shooting worked. This was replaced for free.
The second pair have just become faulty. Seemingly the same problem.
JLab are refusing to assist me and just repeat that I am out of warranty.

Avoid like the plague. Spend your money on quality products, not this crap.
