Could not care less about delivery…

Could not care less about delivery times when selling through Amazon, general approach is "oh well, we messed up, sorry" when querying where deliveries are. Really surprised that (a) Amazon let them get away with this & (b) they somehow still manage to keep trading in all honesty. Avoid where possible unless of course you enjoy really bad customer service

Hi - I disagree with this review in many ways - yes we did mess up - and we apologised for that on numerous occasions in our few emails, but I have had a look at those emails between our company and you and need to make everyone aware at no point did we say "oh well, we messed up, sorry" anywhere in there - this is completely false and yet by quoting this, you are making out that is something we actually said - which we did not.

Let me clarify what happened here - you emailed us at close to 6pm on a Tuesday night making us aware our delivery had not come and you needed this item as a matter or urgency - hence we replied out of working hours to try and help with (removed names for privacy):

"hi xxxxx Sorry, not sure why amazon put this down as a next day delivery service (but free of charge), its clearly not. Evri is a 2-3 day service. i am afraid there is almost zero chance of you receiving this item tomorrow. i advise, as this is going to be too late, you reject the delivery when it does turn up and then we can get you refunded once it is returned. Apologies for the inconvenience but this is not a next day delivery service and we will be getting that fixed with amazon - thanks for making us aware. kind regards JMC"

If the above has come across as if I do not care - then again, I apologise profusely - this was not my intention, in fact quite the opposite - I was replying at 6 in the evening and making it pretty clear the goods were not going to meet your delivery needs as i know lots of items on amazon can be ordered up till 10 or 11pm for next day delivery - hence I was basically giving you that option.

Funny thing about this - Evri tried to deliver the item the next morning at 11.43am

Purchased a dvr box delivery was great

Purchased a dvr box delivery was great, when i eventually paid someome to set it up for me, the powercord lead came without a plug on it after tying 2 wires exactly the same it didnt work, they said i could return it but had to take it to a matalan, i cant carry it because it is really big and heavy, it didnt look like that in the photos so now its stuck in the box in my spare room, i wouldnt even try guess what plug to try wire up as i have already had one property burnt down to ground i would not want to mess with any electric cable that i havent got a clue about, they could at least have notified me the cable came without a plug then i would not have Purchased it so im absolutely fumimg what a waste of money i havent even got

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry if you're not happy with your service from JMC.

I agree completely the unit you bought is a large DVR - very large infact. That is why we actually have photos on the website of the item with a 30cm ruler sitting on top - so you can see how large it is, which is not always so obvious from a photo, like you have stated. Clearly you didnt notice this, I will try to think of ways to make it more obvious in the future.

Also in regards to your comment about Matalan - out returns process is automated and selects the nearest drop of shop to your address - however we clearly state in the email this is optional, see below a snippet from our email to you dated May 25th:

"As this is faulty within 30 days we can arrange a return label - but please note someone must pack the item up so it is safe and secure for transport and then attach said label (we will email) and drop the item at a local drop off location (address to be provided with label email). Please confirm the below:

1. You have access to a printer

2. You are able to drop the parcel at: Matalan, Altrincham Road, Baugley Manchester M23 9BL

IF you DO NOT have access to a printer and/or can not drop off the parcel, then we can arrange a collection - however please note this is only available on working days (Monday to Friday) and someone must be available all day at the collection address to hand over the parcel to our courier - if for whatever reason the courier tries but fails to collect the item then it is up to you to send it back. Let me know if you prefer us to arrange a collection and if so, to which address and what date?"

As you can see from above we are asking you if you are able to drop the item off at Matalan, but if not we can arrange collection... However, you never replied to us.

So to summarise, The DVR is large, unfortunately you didnt see the image on website clearly showing its size in respect of a ruler - you also didnt read the specs that state its dimensions. You then asked to return it as its "faulty", which we authorised and asked if you could drop it at matalan (but clearly stated to let us know if not and we would arrange a collection) to which you never replied. I am struggling to see how this warrants a 1 star negative review, in my opinion.

Also to clarify, if you respond to our email before 25th June - we can still arrange to have the item collected.

I have purchased a couple of HIKVision Hilook NVR camera systems from JMC over the past few years and have also received helpful after sales support/advice on making modifications to the system.

Good service

Good service
Have recently order cameras for our business and all were delivered on time, however there was a fault with one which had to be returned. There was a bit of delay with having it picked up and was not informed that the courier could arrive any time up to 6:00pm (our office closes at 5:00pm). Courier arrived at 5:20pm, but was back the next day to pick it up, and once they received the faulty camera a replacement was sent out straight away. James was very helpful and I would recommend this company.

I found JMC Secure from a google search…

I found JMC Secure from a google search and found the prices to be excellent. James was also very helpful in providing advice of a long period as i was a novice at home security. The products arrived on time and well packaged. I ended up wanting to return one of the cameras for a different model. James said this was no problem at all and i was refunded the full amount once i sent the item back and the new product was sent straight away. I would recommend JMC secure without hesitation.

First class!!

JMC Secure was recommended to me by a friend when I had mentioned setting up my own CCTV system at home.

I initially made contact with them via email to discuss my needs and requirements. In response I received a comprehensive reply addressing all of my questions. It has obvious I was dealing with somebody with excellent product knowledge.

I ordered a Hikvision system which arrived promptly. I was relieved to receive genuine Hikvision products as I’d heard that there were a lot of non authorised sellers on the web distributing fakes.

I have had the system setup now for months and am very happy with it. Previously I had used a smart cam system with cloud recording which doesn’t come close to the capability of a Hikvision system.

Several months after installation, one the cameras developed a minor fault and there was a build up of condensation on the interior lens. I emailed JMC a further time and they assisted with some troubleshooting. Unfortunately the steps they advised didn’t resolve the problem and so they replaced the camera with a new like for like one.

In my opinion, home security should not be overlooked and JMC have allowed me to install a professional system within the home environment. I would not hesitate in recommending the products they sell and service they offer.

Customer with JMC Secure for over 5 years …

I’ve been a customer with JMC Secure for over around 5 years and always found their support extremely good. They have responded quickly to any enquiries and helped me troubleshoot any problems I’ve had over the years with cameras including helping me set them up initially. I’ve had a big learning curve installing cctv cameras to monitor our storage yard and I’ve built this up over the years with the support from JMC Secure using mainly Hikvision cameras and a Hikvision DVR. I’ve experienced their returns system and not had any problems, one of the cameras developed a fault after 2 years and was returned to JMC to have the fault investigated. JMC agreed that the camera had a fault and unfortunately, due to the age of the camera, it had to be returned to Hikvision themselves for them to investigate, which did take a few weeks. This is quite understandable as they have to decide whether it is a fault of the camera or the installation itself, they can’t just replace cameras when it may be the installer that was to blame. A camera was shipped to me as soon as Hikvision had fed back their report to JMC Secure. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend JMC Secure and thank them for the support they have given over the years and will continue to deal with them in the future😊

I had a similar experience to Nick B…

I had a similar experience to Nick B this year. I had purchased an 'adapter granny camera', through Amazon, which stopped working and it was so difficult to get them to accept their responsibility. They suggested various tests and one was that it could be the mini SD card which I tried by replacing it, but that did not work. So I sent it back to them with the card for them to test and yes, they gave me a refund, presumably because it was through Amazon, I can't complain about that but the process was unduly difficult. However, when I asked them to return the SD card they made stipulations and I quote:

I can confirm we have found your micro SD card.

Please email us a royal mail postage label and we will drop the item at post office for you. You can of course buy these on royal mail website....
to protect your SD card, it will be in a padded envelope so when buying your postage you might need to state "large letter" as obviously this is thicker than a normal envelope. I also advise you use a tracked / signed for service which covers the cost of the item as if royal mail lose it, you will need to claim against them for the value. For this reason we will get a "proof of postage" receipt at point of posting.

Clearly the cost of this, just to return my property, a minute SD card, would be more than the cost of the card so I can only imagine that they were prevaricating just to be awkward because they had had to make a refund. They never returned my card something I believe is akin to theft. In my opinion this is a dreadful way to interact with Customers and this reputation will not enhance their future trading prospects.

I have looked over your order details and see that you emailed us about a potential fault - i.e the item was working then stopped, so we spent a few days emailing back and forth with you to try and advise ways to "trouble shoot" the issue and potentially resolve it.

This is something we do for any customer with a potential fault - obviously if we can trouble shoot the issue and resolve it, then you have a working unit - I would consider this good service and presume most customers would agree. I was under the impression you did also - and I quote:

Email 7th May 12:09PM "We will try your suggestions and let you know when we have and thank you for your help with this issue."

On the 9th May (again via email) you told us you have tried our suggestions and they didnt work, at which point we advise you return the item.

You returned it and got refunded (in full including original postage).

On the 15th June you emailed us to tell us you had left your SD card in the unit - we found it out and advised you of the fact you can provide us with a label to have it posted back (We even told you we would go to the post office and drop it off in person) and we havent heard from you until this review (28th August).

Don't hesitate Protect your Home

I bought a HIKVISION NVR and 5MP IP camera from Jmc Secure as I wanted to upgrade from my old xvision ip cctv system.
Paid for next day delivery and arrived as expected by DPD.
Great quality picture which improved again after tweaking settings.
Only issue I had was setting up the remote app but called JMC and advice given helped me to fix the problem.
More cameras on the way.

Best we've dealt with for HIKVISION

Dealt with lots of CCTV Companies in the past, these are the best. Good prices, good range without there there being too many products, Great service and equipment always arrives on time. Excellent work guys

Keeping an Eye on Surveillance

I had difficulty finding a retail outlet that had a good knowledge of CCTV IP Surveillance Cameras, particularly those made by Hikvision recommended by a friend in the know. I was fortunate to stumble across JMC Secure during a web price search, coming in at a competitive price. They responded to my order within hours and delivered by courier the very next day. I had cause to contact them and ask about a special fitting I needed but could not pin down on the manufacturer’s website. The gentleman on the phone knew all about the product model and advised when the fitting I needed would be available in the correct colour.
I have since made a second order for another 3 excellent cameras and they too arrived the next day. Full marks JMC Secure.

Ordered an NVR and some cameras after seeking some help from JMC. James at JMC was very helpful and took time to review my requirements before suggesting the equipment required and how best to achieve my installation. JMC's website is very informative and their pricing very competitive with excellent informed delivery. Thank you again

Extremely professional

This site is easy to use and has all you need to set up a security system from a domestic to a commercial premises. I have done both. The after sale service is also very helpful. Apart from the above they are also competitive.

Good website, product and service.

The website, product, and service are excellent. The only downside is the manufacturer's product manual, which lacks detailed explanations of the camera's functionality options. However, the camera itself is well-designed and built.

very fast service

the product were sent out very fast and recived in good order.
have had not time to use the cameras but tried one out it work fine but the only thing found that it didn't pick up black it show it as grey but it may be needs some fine turning

I spoke to the comapny regarding my requirements and they offered all possible forms of solutions. They even thought of the small adapter I required at a minimal cost. Exactly what I wanted and would deal with them again.
