You stated the exact same mistakes other hiring managers also stated. Thank you for the advice on how I can go ahead to correct these mistakes.

It elevated and enhanced my knowledge not only on how to construct my resume but in expressing myself to Hiring Manager better. I'm ensured that my resume is at the best possible way and me being hired is on the way soon.

I signed up to JobLeads on the basis of their low cost trial period and tools on offer. I tried these tools and found them fine. I then rolled over into a £59.99 per month fee.
How many notifications prior to my trial period ending did I receive? Zero.
In an attempt to keep calm, I took the blame for allowing this to happen and sent a service ticket to them, 4 minutes after the money had been taken. 4 minutes.
After a few days a reply, asking for my card details (partial), invoice number, date of transaction etc etc and I thought all would be well, as this all looked to be gearing up for a gratefully received refund, despite my acceptance of the blame. This would have left me with a largely positive feeling on JobLeads.
What actually happened was that days and days dragged on and I received an incredibly detailed overview of the myriad ways that JobLeads notifies users of the charges and timescales.
2 things:
- Must happen a lot if they can send me a copy/paste novel detailing why its my fault.
- None of these notices were in a typeface larger than 8
- No detail at all on exactly how they notify me that my trial period is ending - so... there is no system in place?
All in all, a scam backed up by a painfully slow, cold service desk. Zero grace.
It was great having my resume reviews and pointed out my weakness it a nice platform😊👍

They will take your money without actually providing any help or serious service. After 14 days they will charge you €69.90 automatically.
I had a really rich and informative experience reading the review. It was a comprehensive and inclusive and brought to my awareness things that wasn't there before and highlighted things that I should pay more attention to. I enjoy true review and I would recommend to other people in the future.

Charged AED 349 without warning after a AED 9.99 trial — no pre-renewal reminder, no consent.
Signed up for a 14-day trial. Not a single reminder email before my account was debited AED 349 — a 3,400% price jump for the same service. When I complained, they cited EU consumer law as justification while conveniently omitting the part of that same law that requires pre-renewal notification.
They offered a 50% refund as a “goodwill gesture” — which tells you everything — and then closed my ticket without resolving the balance.
Formal complaints have been filed with econsumer.gov / ICPEN (Ref: 203803177) and the Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband (vzbv) in Germany.
If you sign up for the trial, set your own cancellation reminder immediately. No reminder will come from them.
Thank you for your tips. I have not had to prepare a resume for over 20 years and obviously times have changed. I appreciate your professional advice and will do as you instructed. Hopefully a job will come soon.

Just to see what the result would be I let them do an AI review of my resume, which I had just paid to have done. There were a couple things about my resume I couldn't put my finger on but I didn't like them. Their review pointed them out and I was able to make what I feel are positive changes with this free help.

So far, and I haven't been through the whole site my experience has been great. From the free resume review that was "eye opening", but the most educational one yet and I have 20+ years of work experience. Coming out of retirement to help care for my aging mom who is suffering from dementia (expensive) is very challenging. I was formerly a firefighter/paramedic, then a sheriff's officer. But due to age those fields just are not options, but all I had to do was sign-up, answer some questions, up-load my resume, answer a few "what are you looking for questions", and I was hunting jobs, a lot of jobs that were exactly (most) what I was looking for or very close. So far 5 star service, for free, I can't imagine what "premium" side of this looks like but I'm seriously thinking of signing up. You all have been great so far.
