Email harvesting scam
Never heard of this company nor the one they claim to have acquired my data from. Transcript of the SPAM email they've sent me no less than 5 times since GDPR came into affect this year:
Our records show that you previously submitted your CV to iProfile, either through a recruitment agency, job board or via a job application.
We acquired the iProfile business in 2017 and are now working hard to meet the requirements of the new GDPR data protection legislation. We have updated our Privacy Policy and would like to know what you would like us to do with your data?

Jobzooma is in violation of the very GDPR they claim to uphold. Have reported to ICO.
And for the forthcoming reply telling me to email Jobzooma requesting my data be removed from your records, that's from the wrong side of GDPR. Now, your duty is to offer users an automated platform to manage data and comms preferences.
Keep up the great work Jobzooma
I have used a number of different recruitment packages and this is by far the best value for money.
It does exactly what is says on the tin.
It gives you multiple job postings.
Tracks your candidates.
Takes the GDPR headache away.
Has excellent templates and a variety of templates, that are configurable.
Brilliant support and follow up.
Keep up the great work Jobzooma
Thanks for the in house support
I was down on my luck with not finding a job and then I signed up with jobzooma who helped me get back onto my feet. The service and in house support was exactly right for me and what I wanted/needed, in particular I would like to thank Paris for her friendly level of customer service. Thank you!
Never asked to be emailed, don't want them!
Obviously one of these scam merchants who's harvesting email addresses. Pain in the butt. Potential clients, avoid them!

I have never joined this business
I have never joined this business. They have copied my CV and now send me spam emails to "update my CV".
I hope the ICO and GDPR catch up with them soon.
UPDATE REPLY:
Why does your email not have an "unsubscribe" and I have never given you consent to contact me or joined your database. You should have deleted your entire database when GDPR started. You are not allowed to email people in the EU anymore without consent. I have reported you this morning to the ICO.

Jobzooma spam
Spammers. Never gave my details, sent me jobs from other sites in their "group". Unsubscribed often and finally had them stop. Just had an email from an agency saying they found my details on...Jobzooma! Gaaah!!

Not GDPR Compliant
Not GDPR Compliant. A Subject Access Request was treated with deletion.
Thanks for the help
I was made redundant at my work place and struggled to provide for my family. Thanks to Jobzooma I managed to get back on my feet and with their help find a job suited to me. The reviews they seem to be having here seem totally unfair I personally can’t thank the service that they provided and the help they gave to me enough.
Above and beyond the call of duty - as the norm!!
I have been using Jobzooma for a 3 months now.
Since my first interaction with the business, I have been impressed.
From the initial discovery call to my director, to the interactive training and on boarding process, to the client account management.
The service has been excellent!! A special thanks to Rennick and Paris.
Both guys have gone above and beyond the call of duty - as the norm!!
Well done both. Keep up the good work. You are a credit to Jobzooma!
Highly Recommended
Since registering with Jobzooma my childcare recruitment company sales have increased by over 50%, which is more than we could have asked for in the first 3 months.
The system is easy to use and team are always friendly and helpful for any further training you may need. I would more than recommend Jobzooma to any companies that require the use of an excellent job board.

Jobzooma helped me find my new job
I was asked if I wanted to keep my cv on their system, after saying yes I had been contacted by a few recruitment companies and as a result have now been placed in a new job.I Don’t know why everyone’s complaining!
Should definitely be fined by the ICO
UPDATE: Incredibly, a year after I reported them to the ICO, they've started spamming me again. Would advise everyone else here to complain -- I know ICO are swamped, but this is a company that need shutting down and having its toys taken away: or ideally being fined back to the dark ages.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Can I just echo the experience of many other people on this board recently. Judging by the job title they have for me, I must've signed up with Jobzooma at some point around the turn of the century (prob c. 2002). Then I didn't hear from them for 15 years - now since the GDPR thing, they've bombarded me with emails (ironically including ones asking me to opt in because GDPR) and have ignored my multiple attempts to unsubscribe and my angry emails. I have also written to the ICO. This morning, despite thinking I'd managed to delete my account completely a couple of weeks ago, I got another one.
I see that Jobzooma is worried enough to have left a bunch of 'please raise a ticket' messages on this board. But I wrote to their support@ email three times asking to be removed, over several months (and clicked all the unsubscribe links) to no effect. Jobzooma: this is not hard - you ought to have long since deleted everyone who didn't give GDPR permission. Given the volume of us all complaining to the ICO, you're clearly going to get done. I'm about to send this page to them as well, as back up evidence.
UPDATE: Now Jobzooma are threatening to refer me to Trustpilot and get this coment suspended unless I give them loads of my details (including my home address) so that they can 'find me in their database'. I'm doing nothing of the sort - the last thing I want to do is give these untrustworthy people even more info about me. However, I'm perfectly happy to show Trustpilot their recent batch of communications, including the one that arrived this morning, to demonstrate that my complaint is real and not malicious.
I should also clarify that after the torrent of GDPR messages - and my repeated failed attempts to get deleted from their database - they've simply gone back to sending me job ads, relating to a post I left 15 years ago.
Finally, it is worth noting that Jobzooma believe that because I signed up to a job board with someone-or-the-other 15 years ago (and they've inherited the data) this means that they are GDPR compliant. This is exactly the sort of thinking that the new legislation acts against - it states that consent isn't perpetual, and that if you don't have explicit active and proveable current consent, you should delete that contact from your database. This they have utterly failed to do.
Spam Email and no GDPR compliance
Ever since GDPR kicked in, this company has been emailing me every few days to "update my profile". I've never used this company before, so why do I need to update my details?
As per GDPR, if you don't have my consent, you should have deleted my data back in May. It's now July and I keep getting emails from this untrustworthy company.
-----
In reply to the comment from Jobzooma: I shouldn't need to request my data to be deleted. As per GDPR, you should have deleted my data already as you don't have consent from me. As I've never used your website or services, you have no legal right to hold my data or email me.
-----
Just received the following request from Jobzooma via TrustPilot:
"With regard to your recent Trust Pilot review, we apologise for the intrusion and we will readily delete your data from our database, if we haven’t already done so. However, the emails you received were sent to you to enable us to cleanse our database ahead of GDPR and not malicious or spam.
Please be advised that the Trustpilot user guidelines for submitting a review state:
Our User Guidelines set out that you can write a review if:
[blah blah blah]
From our records, it appears that you do not comply with any of the above and are therefore requesting that you provide evidence of compliance to avoid us referring this review to the Trustpilot Compliance Team.
Your review refers to emails you have received from us in the process of cleansing our data ahead of GDPR. For your reference, your initial consent, obtained prior to 25th May 2018 was obtained when you submitted your CV to a job board or recruitment agency who were clients of iProfile and you would, therefore, have agreed to them sharing your information with iProfile for the purpose of assisting you in securing new or alternative employment.
If you believe your data has been obtained illegally please refer your case to the ICO."
I have never used iProfile, and it's been over 10 years since I've last looked for a job. Furthermore, the link in your "GDPR" emails (actual data has been replaced with [ and ]):
https://mm[.]jobzooma[.]com/?FirstName=[First Name&LastName=[Last Name]&Email=[my email]&CurrentLocation=[my location]&CurrentJobTitle=[very old job title]
Reveals not only my name and email address, it also has a very old job title (more than 10 years old). Prior to GDPR, you need explicit consent from me to email me. Since you or iProfile did not obtain my consent, you should not be emailing me in the first place (see PECR).

JobZooma tried to have this review pulled from TrustPilot. Naturally, I submitted all the evidence I had to the team and they were more than happy to mark this review as "verified". JobZooma are utter scumbags.

Applied for dubious looking contract…
Applied for dubious looking contract role via Jobserve email, through a company called J M Group. J M Group send email stating will upload my details to Jobzooma. I respond stating I do not consent, do not proceed, details uploaded regardless.
After many emails and phone calls, have been assured I was removed, which is not the point. This stinks of a click bait scam, so that job zooma can populate their database.
Also worth noting, Jobzooma has taken over iProfile, whom were also notorious for not respecting privacy and also have a bad reputation.
Unless you don't want your details scraped to all and sundry, I suggest avoid, if you are unfortunate to end up in their clutches then lodge a report with the ICO
[Updated to add]
I notice all the responses by Jobzooma state; send you email details to support@jobzooma to get your details removed from their database.
It seems what jobzooma fail to understand, is with the advent with GDPR, we don't have to opt out nor unsubscribe from something we did not subscribe to in the first place. Rather pre GDPR we need to OPT IN.
I assume there exists a reluctance by posters to provide details, as those details may be passed on further afield, such as to CV services etc.
Spammers!
I have never given Jobzooma my email address nor given them permission to send me communications yet they started sending me spam EVERY SINGLE DAY
You can only unsubscribe from a mailing list and not get your details removed completely as per GDPR regulation.
I would never trust a recruitment site like this!
Update:
Also reported to ICO
You'll know who I am as I've set up an autoforwarder to send your spam right back to your support address

Total disregard for GDPR
I have emailed support at jobzooma email on three occasions:
16-May-2018
25-June-2018
07-July-2018
asking them to remove me from their databases.
No action has been taken and still receiving emails.
Will be reporting to ICO.
Check the GDPR rules. Jobzooma took over another company. It cannot be assumed that people have now opted-in to your service. They must have opted into Jobzooma EXPLICITLY. If you are now mass emailing people who have opted-out - just look at the other comments here as it looks very much like this is what you are doing - you are breaking the rules again.
I notice your privacy policy is not fit for purpose and has not been updated to GDPR standards:
-----
We do not delete your data unless requested to do so by you either by email to or through an unsubscribe request.
[This is not correct under GDPR and DPA 1998 for that matter. You should only hold data for as long as is necessary. If you have data that is cetainly more than 5 years old, and there has been no activity, you should be deleting it, by perhaps first informing the person you are doing so]
You have the option of unsubscribing by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of any email received from us or emailing support at jobzooma.com by clicking the delete option on Jobzooma account.
[This is fine, except if you look at ALL the other comments, you are not heeding these requests. There is no excuse for this at all. Looking at your responses to other comments, you seem to only heed them once Trustpilot is in the heading. Given that that email requests to remove are sent from the sender's email - there is no reason for you not to heed these within 10 working days, as you therefore have enough to trace the account. You also seem to claim that the requests for removal are not explicit enough - doesn't wash. If it looks like they're unsubscribing then send an email to say we are unsubscibing you in 10 days - please contact us if you change your mind]
You may choose to restrict the use of your personal information whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, where available, by ticking or unticking the box to indicate that you do not want your information to be used for the specified purpose.
[GDPR has stated that hidden boxes do not constitute as explicit consent]
You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please email support at Jobzooma.com
[Just...wow. Sooo many things wrong here. You're sending out emails asking us to to read the privacy policy which hasn't even been updated to reflect GDPR i.e. the Data Protection Act 2018. And no, a small fee is no longer payable].
I very much look forward to your organisation being heavily fined.

Update 09/07/2018 following response from Jobzooma.
You have my emails. Do a search for my last name on the emails I sent you on the dates I specified. Not hard. And don't say you can't find them. I have a sent box that proves I sent them. Which I will be sending to the ICO. Together with a printed out and dated copy of your privacy policy. [You're still referencing outdated legislation. Do you even know what GDPR is or does?]
--------
Update 24/07/2018
I see you've updated your Privacy Policy to reflect the correct legal act (DPA 2018 rather than the repealed DPA 1998). You're welcome. Still some problems, though. The main one being this paragraph:
"We do not delete your data unless requested to do so by you either by email to or through an unsubscribe request"
Like I've stated before this was actually illegal under DPA 1998, let alone GDPR. I refer you to Article 5(1)(e) of GDPR which specifies the rules surrounding storage limitation:
Personal Data shall be...
kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed; personal data may be stored for longer periods insofar as the personal data will be processed solely for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes subject to implementation of the appropriate technical and organisational measures required by the GDPR in order to safeguard the rights and freedoms of individuals (‘storage limitation’);
I've already informed the ICO of your woeful incomprehension of GDPR and provided them with your hilariously outdated Privacy policy (I printed and saved a copy on 20th July), my repeated requests for deletion, your repeated spam emails ignoring my deletion requests, and a copy of the Trustpilot reviews.
Also, given the clearly vast amount of Personal Data you hold, you would be expected to have a Data Officer. I don't see one mentioned on your website. I doubt you have one, otherwise you wouldn't be in this mess.
Good Luck trying to explain all of this to the ICO.
------
Update 17/08/2018
The ICO have confirmed you have NOT complied with your Data Protection obligations. Your privacy policy still states:
"We do not delete your data unless requested to do so by you either by email to or through an unsubscribe request."
This is not allowed under Article 5(1)(e) of GDPR.
Please get some legal advice as you are now embarrassing yourselves.
-------
Update 22/09/18
You've finally updated your Privacy Policy to reflect Article 5(1)(e) of GDPR. You now no longer hold data for more than 3 years. Well done for...err... taking my advice. Please send me a cheque for £200.
