Assaulted, blamed and silenced

I was staying in the Jury's Inn Glasgow with my boyfriend. At 1am, the door knocked and there was no one there, however a man was watching me from across the hall. The security guard then appeared, saying there was a noise complaint and asking me rather agressively "how many people do you have in there?". To this I told him there was only 2 of us, he told us to keep it down (we werent making any noise anyway but we apologised). 5 minutes later the door knocked again and it was a male, shouting in my face and towering over me. He proceeded to push me violently and drag me from the door of my room, trying to push me on the ground. I was half naked, I am 5ft 6 and 9 stone. Thankfully I fought him off, and 4 other males from the room that were watching me appeared and dragged him away from me. I was locked out my room so I had to go to the reception desk, who did not care that I had just been assaulted, and did not ask my name, offer to call the police or investigate. I went back to my room and 5 minutes later there was another knock at the door; the night manager and the security guard advising me there had been another noise complaint!! I was livid and explained I had just been assaulted, they did not care and asked me how many people i had in the room again!! I told them to watch the CCTV, to which they assured me in the most mysoginistic way ever that they would, and I ended up having to shut the door on them because I was so upset. The next day, the receptionist did not care about what had happened and simply said his manager would have to look into my complaint. I called the manager the next day who REMINDED ME that I had struck the man who attacked me and that he was loosing hundreds and thousands of pounds because he asked the men in the room to leave. However this was a lie, as the police attended the hotel days later and arrested the man on the premises. I was treated like a trouble maker, victim blamed, and silenced by the MALE EMPLOYEES IN THIS HOTEL. This is an unsafe hotel and I was advised there was no CCTV of the incident. If it's my guess, this sort of stuff happens all the time in the Jury's Inn and the toxic masculinity and victim blaming culture is rife. Do not stay here, you are not safe. I believe I was being dragged from my room to be raped or murdered and the hotel do not care.

Never get tempted with deals in Paulton breaks and book room in jury's Inn Southampton

I had booked the room in Southampton 2 days back. It was booked through Paulton breaks. Which included Peppa pig world entry tickets and room. This is the mistake I did without assessing I booked the room in jury's Inn. It's one of the horrible services I ever had.The people in the reception are pathetic. They don't know anything regarding the place they work. You get the answer no idea for everything.
There is no parking onsite when there are more than 2 vehicles you need to wait on the main road.
Most importantly the breakfast is horrible. The bag contains small bottle of juice,Small cereal box, crossiant and the small box of fruits consisting of 4 small cubes of melon and 4 grapes. And it was sour. That breakfast is so little the toddler can finish in one go.Infact the size of toddler break fast bag and the adult breakfast bag nothing change. This spoils your whole day. They are looting by saying they will provide the breakfast. Instead buy crossiant packet and juice from supermarket. It saves money and fills your stomach
The bedsheets were not tidy. You could spot small hairs every where. Overall awful experience. It was much awaited trip because of the hotel experience we were disappointed
Never ever recommend this hotel to anyone

Awful awful customer service

OMG this hotel does not pay up their refunds! Been waiting a month now, passed from pillar to post, cancelled about 3 weeks before so no problem with policy. Just read comments and wished we’d never booked! Awful awful company, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM unless you’re 100% certain you can go.

Refuse to refund

I booked 6 rooms with free cancellation, they charged me immediately and when I cancelled, they told me it will take 90 days for a refund. Shocking amount of time to wait for a refund.

Poor breakfast is a joke

just got to my room in Belfast, asked reception about breakfast, I was informed due to covid resection if I would like breakfast I would receive a pot of instant oats and some fruit at my room door. what a bummer because i booked purely because of the buffet breakfast and have just come from the holiday inn Derry and ate a buffet break fast for the last 7 mornings.

Booked a room with free cancellation…

Booked a room with free cancellation where it said I wouldn't be charged until the cancellation date, where I was charged immediately. I then had to cancel this and was told it would take up to 10 days to refund, I've been waiting two weeks for a refund now and their replies are no apology or explanation, just that they will chase the refund up.

Jurys inn quayside

I booked 8 rooms for 2 nights for my stag do 1st weekend in July with it offering free cancellation(with the current situation we are in I thought if there was an outside chance of us coming out of lockdown sooner we could go) they took payment of 1 room almost straight away around £225, so I messaged them would they be taking the rest of the @1700 before the free cancellation date, which I never got a clear answer just stated that it could come out anytime, 5 days later it came out so I'd paid £1920 , now this is where the nightmare started I cancelled the hotel when Boris put the restrictions lifted to 19th July, a week later I thought I'd see when I would be getting my money back so I rang jurys inn which I was advised it was going through and I'd see it in my bank soon enough, which was right but I'd only seen 1 payment of the rooms I'd booked so was still owed about £1700, countless emails and phone calls , I was advised to go to the bank to get a bank statement so I could prove I'd paid they money, although I didn't need to it would help the accounts team with there findings, by this point I had to pass the matter on to my sister who could see it was affecting my health. All in all I waited 5 weeks for my money back, from the date I cancelled, I'm just glad it's all over now, but just something doesn't sit right with how they can treat there customers like this, there was times I never thought I was getting the money back, I will never book jurys inn again, and can see with all the bad feed back they are getting on here I can see why!!

Disappointing breakfast

Clean room, comfy bed. Sadly the cooked breakfast was not up to scratch & given no choice of items for cooked breakfast. Pre-cooked & delivered to table within 2 minutes of arriving in the dining-room. Poor quality sausages & only a single rasher of bacon given. Butter was awful, so couldn’t eat toast. Understand that covid has impacted on service but surely still able to offer a breakfast cooked to order with items chosen by customer. Takeaway cups available for hot drinks but the lids did not fit the cup as they were too small

TERRIBLE

Judging the hotel by Its outside surroundings will really fool you with this place, after being checked into my room (which smelt of smoke) I stud in a piece of glass on the bathroom floor, despite this I carried on with stay as it looked like something had broke in the bathroom and just hadn’t been cleaned up despite this when I went downstairs to ask for a first aid bag for a plaster and wipes for my feet I was greeted by a rude woman on the desk who said they had no first aid facilities …disgusting really

Be very careful of this hotel

Be very careful of this hotel, I booked 2 nights stay in Belfast at this hotel for my daughters wedding using booking.com and because of Brexit and the lock downs we weren't 100% sure if it was still going ahead, this was the reason I choose Jury's Inn Hotel on that website because it gave the option of no prepayment.
10 days after I booked the room the hotel attempted to take full payment from my bank account. When I contacted them they tried to make a liar out of me by saying paying in full on booking is their policy luckily for me I had a screenshot of the booking and there profile on booking.com of the bright green writing stating no prepayment needed. They increased the fee for the room I booked by over €45. Stay well away the likes of this hotel just want people to pay for what they lost in the pandemic.

Pool is advertised but always booked for private sessions

Just arrived at the Jurys Inn East Midlands. Nice welcome at the reception. "Please feel free to enjoy use of the swimming pool"... excited little girl and I get ready and make our way there only to find that, no, we can't use it as they have private lessons on until after dinner. Sadly, we had assumed that previous reviews were the exception. Well, they are not.

Rude staff and noisy rooms.

We stayed in the jury's Inn at the Birmingham Broad Street Hotel. Room was clean but mirror tarnished from the heat of the kettle which is stuck down and can't be moved which is also problematic with the switch. Very noisy due to the sound of the lift mechanism and bar staff were rude and wouldn't allow us into the car despite tables being available and still open. We asked to take drinks to the room which reception staff was fine with but again the woman on the bar was very rude until a colleague overruled her. We decided against drinks after this and cut our evening short

Me & my partner stayed at the jurys inn…

Me & my partner stayed at the jurys inn in Bradford this weekend,
Upon arrival I was made feel like like a criminal,
They asked us if we lived together to which I said yes,
Then asked me to prove it, asked for my tenancy agreement or council tax paper, not having my paperwork with me (I mean why on earth would i?)
They made me take out another room at a charge for an additional £35 because we couldn't prove that we live together.....????
Horrible service
Was very rude to us
Manager vicky, and reception girl Momina
