AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Very anwful experience. The car was delivered several hours late and I was assured it was road safe. An independent garage later confirmed it needed over £1,000 of work to actually be roadworthy. Knowing this, the dealership was clearly willing to let me drive my 3-month-old baby in an unsafe vehicle. The MOT was questionable, the promised service was never carried out, and communication with the owner was extremely poor. Despite the seriousness of the issues, they refused to contribute even half towards the repairs. I strongly advise people to avoid this dealership at all costs.

Extremely stressful experience — regret buying here

I'm not usually someone who writes reviews, but I feel this is important to prevent others from going through the same experience.

We bought a Citroën C4 Picasso from this dealer in July 2025, when they were still trading as Just Motors (now trading as The Vehicle Group).

Three days after purchase, the engine light came on. We returned the car, the light disappeared, but other faults remained. We rejected the car and asked for a refund but were refused on the basis that they needed another opportunity to repair it. In good faith, we agreed.

The car went back for repairs in October 2025, and it has now been with the dealer for over two months. Communication has been extremely poor, with repeated promises of “I’ll call you back” and no replies when we chased.

More recently, we went to collect the car in person. We were told it wasn’t on site, but at another depot — and they would not tell us where. They also said it hasn’t been fixed, it now has new damage (a dent and a scratch), and the MOT has expired while they’ve had it. We have also received parking fines for the car while in their possession.

I work full-time for the NHS and have young children. The stress and disruption this has caused has been overwhelming. We are now starting court action to try to recover our money and, with police advice, we are working to get the car returned to us while legal proceedings take place.

I truly wish we had never bought here, and I hope this review helps someone else avoid the same situation.

DO NOT USE!!

DO NOT USE!!

THEY ARE A SCAM.

I paid a deposit of £99 for a Fiat Punto and I was promised I could pick it up in a week. I arrived at the dealership and it was closed with no sign of my car. I called them repeatedly with no answer. I have since been calling them for 2 weeks with no answer and no replies to my messages either.

I have not received my car or my money back and I have been left in the dark.

If you speak to a man called DAN do not trust him - he has scammed me. Do not be fooled by him on the phone, he seems trustworthy but he is not.

DO NOT USE

I purchased a car from this dealer on Sept 20th, there were a couple of issues before I bought it, but they knocked the price down and all was fine. 10 days after I had the car, it broke down catastrophically. After nursing it to a garage it needed a water pump and cambelt replacement, costing me over what I had paid for the car! I rang the dealer and explained and they said in a usual circumstance they’d have me bring the car back and they’d repair it free of charge, unfortunately I live in Exeter, so I wasn’t able to get the car back to them. They then offered to pay for parts but not labour, I agreed to this and awaited their reply. I rang them every other day and emailed a few times since this and have either gotten “I’ll ask the boss” or been ignored completely. It has been over two weeks since the breakdown and I am now out of pocket of a lot of money because they sold me a broken car. Again DO NOT PURCHASE FROM

Just Motors Bristol are dishonest and…

Just Motors Bristol are dishonest and disorganised.Bought a car in May for our daughter. It broke down 2 hours later and needed towing home. They then took 7 weeks to collect the car in order to fix it. After losing all confidence and waiting more weeks for them to fix the car, we sought to get a refund. That took several more weeks and they did not adhere to their "14 working day policy" for refunds. Then Just Motors kept back some of the money too!! Still waiting for that.... The Manager just fobs me off and says " I'll ask the owner" He even put the phone down on me once when I was speaking. The owner is elusive and I'm not told his name. Overall, I'm sure if your car is ok, then you're fortunate, but if anything goes wrong then you're in for a long wait from them to action anything at all. Dishonest. Disorganised and disrespectful would sum them up in my experience.

***DO NOT USE***

***DO NOT USE*** They have now also changed their name to The Vehicle Group

Stay away from at all costs!

You put the motor trade to shame!

Any good recommendations on this site MUST be fake and added by themselves, friends or family.

They are liars, don't answer your calls or emails. Waited since last Thursday for a promised refund in excess of £250 yet they answer the phone to new numbers calling when they expect it to be a new customer! Don't appear to want to offer after sales care. Even when car was in warranty

This garages actions or lack of actions has resulted in this negative review and I will also be reporting to AA, DVSA, MOTOR OMBUDSMAN, TRADING STANDARDS and seeking legal action. Even just to save someone else being conned by these cowboys! Karma is waiting for you!

Spent in excess of £7500 on my sons car. This cost us so far in excess of £600 to get repaired and road worthy.plus additional costs on top for things they didnt repair.

The car was promised to come with min 6 month MOT as per AA garage approved. Only came with 4 and impossible to get them to do the work after purchased and taken away

The MOT they had conducted failed on 1 part, and our garage failed on 3 major faults.

Courtesy car just found out had no tax and was clearly unroadworthy!

Thanks for your endless promises of refunds.

Your a fine example of how not to operate a business.

If you think your exempt from operating lawfully you are wrong! You have not chosen the correct person to do this to. I will make it my mission to ensure this is taken and dealt with appropriately at all costs.!
