I appreciate the teacher support, this year was a bit rocky with the shift to a new interface product with CANVAS. It is going well though and we enjoy K12.

My experience with the teachers in this Washington virtual academy have kept me up to date on everything going on with my students, that is the one thing that is very important to me is knowing what's coming up and what's missing and they have done a very great job of doing so.

I love how there is no pressure for the students or us parents

Yes WAVA K-12 has been good experience. My son has been happy attending online classes. Only thing would be to.make register little better to understand.

Easy to work with and get signed up with. The steps were very easy! Extremely satisfied and can’t wait to start the next school year for my son to start online school.

The flexibility and quality instruction has allowed our family and especially our two students the ability to succeed while being able to follow their passions in piano and swim. It has opened up opportunities that in person school simply could not provide, and has been a blessing to allow our family to spend more quality time together.

This year has been very difficult for both the Student and their Learning Coach. It certainly was not as great as last year. All year long my son said would say, " mom, tell them to make it fun again!" And he would send them feedback as well. It has been a very long year. I can say that the changes seem to have been difficult for everyone... staff, teachers, kids... now the year is almost done.. and there have been some changes in the more positive direction.. but there could be and should be quite a bit more to meet the standards that we enjoyed that were great during the 2024-25 school year. But lacking in 2025-2026.

The Teachers are very helpful. Not having to worry about my Child being bullied while at school. Not having to worry about the things my child is being thought

Teachers and staff are amazing and so helpful. My kids are engaged and confident in their class assignments and knowledge of schedule and course work.

K12 Wava provides a flexible schedule and good quality education to my children in the safety of our home.

The teachers are great. We are in the flex program and my kids love it and it fits well with our schedule. We love having our kids home with us and we know they are learning in a safe environment with no bullying or shaming or fear of something happening while our kids are not home. I recommend K12 WAVA to everyone.

Great and friendly teachers and staff.
But I feel like my son kind of got lost in the mix. Hasn't really gained confidence.

Wava has done a fantastic job supporting my disabled and highly intelligent child. He's grown tremendously with the virtual therapies, and has made friends in the highly capable program. He is consistently on the honor roll. It's a supportive, welcoming school.

We have been frustrated with the lack of communication from some teachers. Doing the assignments has been clunky to get into and read the list of assignments. It's not a 'clean' system as far a where to find everything that needs to be done. It has been a very frustrating year to say the least.

In my opinion, Texas, virtual academy was way better than Washington state I don’t like that. My children felt stressed out trying to find stuff for class and there’s literally no books. I feel like books are important. My kids have been in K-12 for years and to see this setting change, it’s very disappointing. I’m not the only parent who feels this way the education portion I get it. Teachers can only do what they can do, but I feel like our children are suffering as well.

Overall, I am happy with WAVA. We have attended for several years now. I think the last round of improvements you made to the system still makes it a bit clunky compared to years prior but it is getting easier to navigate. It would be nice if you had more meet ups in King County.

Reply from K12 - Washington Virtual Academy
It’s sometimes difficult to navigate the software, but the teachers are great at explaining it to my student so they can still get things done
