I visited Kattens Værn in November 2024 and adopted the sweetest kitten, Frida. The team at Brøndby were wonderful, and gave me lots of time to meet the kittens in a calm and unpressured way. The cats are treated well, have lots of toys and things to climb on, and all seemed well adjusted.

The staff were very helpful, gave me lots of information about Frida’s vaccination needs, what type of cat litter works best, what kind of food cats require for their specific needs, how to register my cats microchip, what to look for when choosing pet insurance, and were generally extremely kind, professional, and helpful, which I greatly appreciated. I have a lot of respect for their hard work, which is really visible at the internat.

The shop in Brøndby was well stocked with almost everything a new cat owner could need, including bowls, food, cat carriers, etc.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. If we choose to adopt another cat at some point, we will definitely have Kattens Værn at the top of our list. Thank you for rescuing little Frida and taking such good care of her, as well as the many cats who spend time at Kattens Værn. ❤️

Our family visited Kattens Vaern in Brondby 2 weeks ago, and brought home Zia, a four-month-old little bundle of joy.
We cannot recommend Katten's Vaern more highly - from the incredibly kind and professional staff, to the 'internat' itself (now referred to in our home as 'The Cat Resort'), there is not a thing that you could fault in Brondby. It was clear that the staff genuinely loved and knew the cats in their care, and you could feel that level of affection and happiness coming back from the cats. The approach that Katten's Vaern take to finding homes for their cats is wonderful and gives you a real opportunity to meet and bond with the cats so that you (and they!) can find that special match. We were given so much helpful advice about our kitten (who she is, what she likes, specific care she might need,) and took her back stress-free a week later for her final scheduled vaccination. The level of after-care that Katten's Vaern are prepared to provide for their cats is something I have never seen before and we feel completely relaxed knowing that Zia has a perfect, clean bill of health, but will also be so well taken care of if she does ever need to be.
The ease that Zia has had settling in to our home (where our 2-year-old 'dude cat' has enjoyed his exclusive human attention and laps) is a testament to how well she has been cared for - she is the definition of no behavioural issues and is just the happiest little girl.
Without hesitation, Kattens Vaern should have a 5 star review and I would recommend that anyone who loves cats and is thinking about giving someone furry a new home to go and pay them a visit.

I'd like to especially thank Sandra, who spent a whole lot of time with us, reassuring us, answering all our questions and recommending the right carrier, litter box, food etc.

We experienced Kattens Værn as an extremely supportive and kind community of dedicated professionals and would recommend them for any cat lover. They are available, kind and supportive also if you contact them months after adoption, and they truly love what they do!
