Working with Kent Reliance has been brilliant but am now moving most of my money from the ease access account because you have reduced the interest rate - can get 4.5% elsewhere!

I've not needed direct contact with staff, which speaks for itself on one front. Mainly for easy access accounts, their response to any instructions has always been immediate without any hitches. Reasonable interest rates compared with other providers.

..you gave me my monthly interest 3 times, and didn't apologise.
You're supposed to be a bank, if you can't get that right then I can't trust you at all.

A very easy transaction e complete, no hidden problems.

I have over £100K invested in an easy access savings account. Just went to withdraw £120 and it wouldn’t let me.
This has never happened before. Now seriously worried! What has happened to them?!
Get your money out now if you can! Have emailed CEO.

I am totally fed up, stressed and have had enough...all I was trying to do was to open a savings Bond account. The rate was good but I am happy to go elsewhere and get less. The level of frustration even using the website was immense! I have had details not accepted twice, the attachment for the details does not state, at least I can find the info, that you can only attach ONE document. Having sent just one statement showing my name and address with a bank account I then knew I couldnt send others. I worked out how to link all 3 statements (no help towards the need for this on the website) I sent them and now I STILL havent sent the right information. I have tried the link on 2 different computers and it didn't work. I am now at another computer, used a search and then realised I needed my phone to even log in. I am not going to call as I have now given up and will find another company having looked at the reviews on Trustpilot. It may pay a good rate but I don't care. I need to trust when my year is up I can get the money into my bank account...I don't trust this.

The staff are very friendly on the phone, but trying to transfer money out of a fixed rate ISA account has been complicated. I've needed to access and transfer for the first time. I logged on and sent an internal message through the KR online account, as you cannot transfer the funds directly. I received a message 1 day later stating that there would be a penalty for making the withdrawal. I asked to confirm the amount and proceed. A further day later, I've heard nothing back and the messages have disappeared completely in their portal.
Moreover, prior to this I received text messages from the bank stating that everything was moving over to a new system which would allow more banking functions and easier access. This has been delayed for an unknown time, despite originally being planned for set dates.
I am going to give them a few more days, but thinking about moving to Monmouthshire Building Society which has a higher interest rate. Although Kent Reliance penalises customers for making withdrawals mid term, other providers permit 2-3 withdrawals per year without penalty. I'm heading to MBC on Saturday morning to open an account in branch and most likely take my funds away from Kent Reliance, which will likely incur a further penalty. Sorry Kent Reliance...even if your staff are very friendly and helpful on the phone, you really need to join the digital world. Like the dinosaurs, you risk extinction if you stay in the past. Not being able to access 'my money' is quite a sad situation!

Wanting to transfer an account away from Kent and despite promises made last Thursday and again on Friday I find they have not carried out what they said they would do and subsequently the promise I was given on Friday to tell my new provide on Monday to re-request my ISA transfer could not be done. They have also made a hash of transferring accounts onto a new platform despite sending numerous emails and texts saying it would be done first week in July only to get told a couple of days before could not happen. My wife and I are taking all our money out and going elsewhere. Shocking customer service especially the ISA team who seem to work a lot less hours than other staff.
UPDATE
Now a week on from my new providers request to transfer my ISA and Kent still being obstructive, rejecting three requests, because they are incompetent and didn't carry out what they promised. No doubt I will get platitudes of being sorry, but I just don't care, I want what is rightfully mine moving from them.
FINAL UPDATE
After three weeks I have finally managed to get my ISA transferred and thank goodness, I am now done with this appalling institution. If only they could be as prompt and efficient as Charter Bank.
GOOD RIDDANCE KENT RELIANCE

Find online banking with Kent Reliance is one of the best around. Frustrated that new accounts open with better rates that you have to find yourself, but easy to open and manage new accounts, transfer money. So impressed with the speed of moving funds to another bank. Its immediate, unlike other banks and building societies where it takes over 24 hours. Also good communications via email and texts, reassuring to know that requests have been processed immediately. Had to close a savings account as the rate is just not competitive anymore, which is a shame as the rates used to be really really good. Enjoy the ease and speed of being a Kent customer.

this bank used to be quite good with cometitive rates but they are no longer as good. however my real issue is with customer service. i opened an account in 2025 and some months later was told i would beed to open a new on line account. at 78 this is not something i wanted to do. i therefore closed the account and asked for a tax certificate. after much argument saying i could not have it without setting up the on line account they agreed to sedn it to me. i never receved it and wondered if this was because they would send after the end of the tax year. no certufucate arrived but a couple of weeks ago two certificates arrived for children i have opened accounts for. i therefore e-mailed to ask for the certificate for my account and receved a response to say i would have to telephone. i did this and again was told i could not have it unless i opened the online account. this is for an account closed many months ago. eventually because i said i would make a formal complaint they agreed to send this by e-mail but they obviously have not as i di not have it. it is bad enough having to complete a tax return without having to spend hours trying to get the documentation you are legally obliged to have .
another building society could not have been more helpful. i will never open another account with these people. it is almost as if they are going out of their way to be as unhelpful as possible.
i would just add that eventually, having written i did get a response and received the interest statement . i also received an apology and admission they messed up. it is now resolved and i feel slightly better about them but ti really should not have taken so may attempts an so much trouble to get this far.

Cash ISA opened ok but then the ISA Transfer turned out to be paper only! OK then, sent it in then process has proved to be dysfunctional, 4 weeks later and no transfer, useless
