I ordered a guitar in June 2022 which…

I ordered a guitar in June 2022 which first had to come from the supplier.
The guitar arrived 2 weeks ago, I tried it but the shop employee who was very honest and transparent (Thx for that) warned me about the fact there was a manufacturing defect. Someone proposed himself to bring the guitar to the luthier but since than I didn't receive any news from him, partially caused by the bankruptcy. The guitar is paid so what now? I send a mail to the customer service, hope they will respond soon, but with this bankruptcy, I have a bad feeling.
Other than I always have been a satisfied regular customer at Key Music, never had problems. It's really sad what's happening now. I hope they find a buyer soon and that everyone can keep his/her job.

After trying multiple times someone answer:
They cancelled my order without telling me and giving my money back.

They made reimbursement without telling me what are my options.

Got my guitar withing the promised 10 day period and couldn't be happier. I sent an e-mail asking for an update and got a prompt response. I have spent thousands of euro's in this store already and will continue to do so in the future. Sincerely, a happy costumer.

LACK OF COMMUNICATION

LACK OF COMMUNICATION - Ordered in-store a guitar in May 2021. At the time, delivery was two to three weeks. We approach the end of October, and still no guitar. It has already been paid for.
I used the call-line, called the store, left messages, sent emails, and even went into the store once to speak with the manager, who finally included me on an email to the distributer - which went unanswered. I continue to call, leave messages, and send emails to the management - no answer, no acknowledgement, no information, and no updates.
The sales staff - nice and knowledgable. The people on the Keymusic "hotline" (client service) - very nice. The products they sell - some very nice ones.
Issue - The inability for Keymusic, and specifically Keymusic Brussels' management, to maintain a reasonable level of communication with the client is unacceptable. Terrible client communication.

KEYMUSIC STORE ROTTERDAM IS THE WORST MUSIC STORE IN THE WORLD! DON'T BUY ANY PRODUCTS HERE, GEAR IS BROKEN OR DOESNT WORK PROPERLY AND THEIR SERVICE IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE TO SAY THE LEAST. A STORE IS ABOUT SERVICE!!! NOT ABOUT THE GEAR, BECAUSE IF IT WAS ABOUT GEAR YOU COULD JUST SELL EVERYTHING ONLINE. YOU OPEN A STORE TO PROVIDE SERVICE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS AND TREAT THEM AS KINGS SINCE THEY ARE THE SOLE REASON YOU EXIST IN THE FIRST PLACE! THE EMPLOYEES ARE RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO HELP YOU OR FIX ANY ISSUES. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST OF THE WORST WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE! DON'T BUY ANYTHING HERE, I WOULD RECOMMEND BAXMUSIC INSTEAD. GREAT PEOPLE THERE AND GREAT SERVICE AT BAXMUSIC COMPARED TO THESE DEGENERATES. I HOPE KEYMUSIC GOES BANKRUPT QUICKLY!

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever in 20 years of professional music life. Waited 4 months for a product which was supposed to be "in stock". Never arrived. Huge problems of communication, they just don't communicate that the product is late, and I have lost 2 recording jobs due to this. I was the one trying to contact them to know which was the problem, and never them communicating the delay. The email service is terrible, they answer after a week or more. I cancelled the order 17 days ago, I am still waiting for my money back (600€, not that little).
They are not answering to the phone and to complaints email.
And the funny thing is that I wanted to support a local shop and not the usual online ones.

Mijn ervaring met Keymusic: MISLEIDEND

Mijn ervaring met Keymusic
(Translation in english see below the Dutch version).

Ik was specifieke op zoek naar micro tuner. Blijkt uit hun website dat ze die hadden. Daar er een nieuwere versie is is voor mij geen nieuws. Maar ik hoefde geen nieuwere versie anders had ik dat al gedaa, maar afijn…….. de item wat ik wou vond ik op hun website. Dus heb ik het besteld. Betaald €24,99. Nu blijkt het dat het niet meer leverbaar is. Zonder mij op de hoogte te stellen of ik dat überhaupt wel wilde gaven ze me een andere item. Daarnaast ben ik heel verbaasd dat het totaal bedrag op het factuur is €21,52 terwijl ik meer betaald hebt. En met het corresponderen merk je dat ze erom heen gaan. Wat me uiteraard boos maakte. Daarnaast had ik ook aangegeven dat wat ik teveel betaald hebt terug te storten, blijkbaar hebben ze dat niet gelezen. Na al heen en weer mailen….terwijl ik foto’s als bijlage hebt gemaild zoals factuur/ betaling via de bank/foto bestelde item + foto ontvangen item. Is dit hun antwoord:

“Dank voor je mail.
Je hebt eigenlijk de nieuwere chromatische versie ontvangen.
De CT-12-NS is helaas niet meer leverbaar. Onze logistiek heeft je dus de nieuwere, aan dezelfde prijs als je hebt betaald, gestuurd.

Indien je niet tevreden bent met de nieuwere dan kan je deze retouren.
Gelieve in dat geval het online retourformulier in te vullen: https:// www……etc.

Het grappige is dat vandaag op hun website keek dat het item nog steeds op hun website staat. Ik vindt dit zeer betreurenswaardig ongeacht de prijs of het nou een nieuwere versie is of niet.
Ik ben van mening dat dit MISLEIDEN van KLANTEN is

En uiteraard heb ik ze aangegeven het item te retourneren. Helaas moest ik 1ster geven, maar eigenlijk vindt ik dat zelfs 1 ster teveel is.

My experience with Keymusic:
I was specific looking for micro tuner. Turns out on the website of key music the item was avaible. Although there was a newere version it was not what i wanted.So I ordered it. Total cost €24.99 (incl. Shipmant cost). It turns out that the item is no longer avaible. Without even informing me or even ask me if i want this item. They are thinking and answering it for me and just send it.
Then to my surprise. The invoice stated that the tot. costs €21,52 incl.shipment- cost. And the discription stated the item number of what i have ordered. While the receiving item had a different item number. And i notice during our correspondence back & forth they go around it. Which made me of course very angry. And the funny part is that i ask them reimbourse what i paid to much. Problably they didn’t read either.

After a while they send me the following e-mail…….….although i have shown them screen images of the invoice/bank payment/screenimage that the item i ordered is stil showing on their website).

"Thanks for your mail.

You actually received the newer chromatic version.
The CT-12-NS is unfortunately no longer available. So our logistics sent you the newer one at the same price as you paid.

If you are not satisfied with the newer one, you can return it. In that case, please complete the online return form: wwwnl…customer service/return form/

Hartelijk dank voor uw review en vervelend om te horen dat het misgelopen is met de bestelling. Het klopt inderdaad dat de afbeelding nog het oude model weergaf. Hoe goed wij ook ons best doen om onze website up to date te houden, in dit geval is dat niet op tijd opgemerkt en is het model een ander model dan weergegeven.
De prijs weergegeven was incorrect en had te maken met de BTW prijs. De verkoopprijs van het artikel is € 19,99 dat is exclusief BTW 16,52. Plus € 5,- maakt de € 21,52 die op de factuur stond.
Vanaf 1 juli zijn er wijzigingen wat betreft het BTW beleid in Europa waardoor het een en ander aangepast moet worden in onze systemen. Hierdoor is er een tijdelijk probleem geweest met de weergaven van de BTW op factureren.
Wij kunnen goed begrijpen dat de combinatie van deze twee zaken niet een fijn gevoel geeft, maar het is een toevallige (en vervelende) samenloop van omstandigheden.
Het plaatje online wordt aangepast. Onze excuses voor de misverstanden, uiteraard is het geen probleem het aan ons te retourneren en het volledige bedrag teruggestort te krijgen.

Really good service, undeserved bad reviews.

So looks like a lot of people have had some issues with keymusic while I think that they don't deserve these bad reviews.

So first of all my first experience with keymusic was about a year ago when I bought my first bass. The bassist in the store was really helpful honest and funny he gave me a lot of info about all the basses I found intersting and he gave me a sweet demo on every one of them. So after I picked the bass I needed an amp. Back then I was completely lost and didn't know anything about amps, so he explained almost everything I needed to know and he even gave a demo with my bass on different amps. After some months I fell in the pedal void so I ordered a pedal online and it was not in stock so the delivery time was a bit longer than expected, but it arrived in a perfect state. Same goes for my audio interface, but that was in stock and arrived on the next day. Now about a year later I am looking for my second bass for a more modern tone and I will definitely go back to keymusic since the bass I got now plays really well I had the chance to compare mine to more expensive ones and it plays like a more expensive one. I know I am kinda selling my bass, but this proves to me that they care about their customers. Please visit a store if you can you won't regret it.

I was so stupid to trust them

I ordered gift cards believing that KeyMusic was trustworthy but ended up not being able to give the gift on the birthday of my friend. On the website it was stated that my order would be delivered the next day. However I still did not receive it after 5 working days. I sent an email, but no reaction.

Ordered new, received used, can't get money back

Ordered a new pair of monitor speakers, but received a used and scratched demo pair. Returned the pair to the store 14 days ago. Still haven't got my money back, and I get no response from the helpdesk. Filed a complaint against Key Music. Funny detail: after returning the scratched pair of speakers, the store now lists that pair as new in stock... Buyer beware!

Teamwork make the Dream Work.

Originally I ordered some out of stock items and noticed the website mentioned it’s a good idea to contact customer support to get a delivery date. I mailed support and got a delivery date pretty fast. Which turned out to be in a couple of months. So I asked to change the order and they did it right away. My new order arrived as stated(1week delivery time). Packaging was well done . I really enjoyed the service .So for me personally I had a good experience with ordering online.

It used to be a good business

It used to be a good business, with good service. Sadly I have experienced for 3 times now, that I ordered a product online which said to be 'in stock' and 'will be send out within 1 day or 1-3' the product wasn't Turned out the product was not in stock and they had to re-order it. Last time, I waited 1 month and they still didn't ship out my item. I had to email them myself to ask why it hasn't been shipped out yet. They told me they were expecting it to arrive anytime and they will ship it asap. Another week gone by, and nothing. Long story short, each time I had to contact them myself in order for something to happen. Right now, I am emailing them because they still haven't refunded my payment even though I contacted them 2 weeks ago and they told me they would refund me. It is unbelievable. Very bad business.

Great service. Product not in stock? Talk to them before ordering!

I can see why other people complain about delivery times, and I'm glad I went to the store first before ordering online.

Their website fails to mention that, for example, the ATH-M50x take multiple weeks to deliver due to a supply issue with the manufacturer. But listen, it's not these fine people's fault that a product will take long to deliver because of things beyond their control.

My advice to Keymusic? Make it clear that you don't have the product available AND state how long it might take to get it restocked. That probably fixes most of the issues here.

Although, I wouldn't bash their service. I went to their physical shop and talked to one of the friendliest salespeople I've ever dealt with: Kenneth Verresen. This guy rocks! He went above and beyond to get me a more precise delivery time for my cans, by emailing the official distributors directly, and communicating to me their response. Am I happy with the long restocking time? No, but their service was top notch, and I can only blame the distributor and/or the manufacturer.

So I can see how they could improve things, but don't go after their people, everyone at the store was friendly and helpful, plus it's a terrific environment and a thing of beauty, reminiscent of the old days.

Support your local shop, stop feeding the online giants!
