Really good and efficient service, not yet put up awning, but sure it will be as good as the old one

We were looking for a new tent, saw a Biker Plus at a rally and the owner who'd had it for a few years couldn't fault it. We bought one and after a few trial runs in the garden it went up and down easily and pretty quickly, it's light weight for the size and packs down small too. So far, so good.
However, on first use it rained and the tent leaked.
They replaced it with a new one but we put it up to find there's a 4" gap under the misshapen outer flysheet around the porch and the (wrongly positioned?) attachments lifted the sides of the inner flysheet off the ground so this one went back too. Khyam don't give a phone number, all comms are by email so good for record keeping but not always for speed. To be fair though, they did pay the return carriage both times and did give a full refund on the second one.
Looking at the website you could be forgiven for thinking these are made in the UK and we assumed from the price it'd be a really good tent but the label said made in Vietnam and evidently their quality controls on the two we had were sadly lacking - all in all it was a bit of a let down and sorry Khyam but from our experience we couldn't recommend the Biker Plus.

Bag for Khyam Airtek 6 was damaged on arrival. Filled in online warranty claim and had new bag 2 days later. Great service!

I ordered a Khyam AirTek Kamper Pro 2 awning bundle from the NEC Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show. It arrived promptly a few days later. What a great awning! Extremely well made, plenty of internal space and easy to put up. The Khyam team were really helpful and the instructions / videos on their website made everything very straightforward. The lifetime warranty is really reassuring. Great to support a UK company who have pledged to be as environmentally sustainable as possible. Highly recommended!

Easy to order, came very promptly and were very quick to answer my questions when I asked them. Very impressed, would recommend.

I bought this awning September 2022 to use with my VW T5. Our first 2 night trip away was fine although the plastic clips on the pump snapped on first use.

The second trip away the pump did not work at all meaning we had to come home. Khyam replaced the pump but this did little to compensate for the failed trip.

We then had a 3 night trip which went okay with the awning going up much more simply.

In August 2023 we booked a 7 night trip away. Every night 2 of the 3 air tubes deflated meaning they needed reinflating every morning. One of these was where the sleep pods were where our children were sleeping. One of the door zips broke which meant cold wind blowing through and there were 2 leaks. We came home a day early due to this and torrential rain being forecast.

When I raised these issues with Khyam I was told I would have to pay for the awning to be sent to their service centre which I refused to do. They repaired the air tubes and fixed the zip then wanted to return the awning to me. Clearly, after only 5 nights use without an issue, I did not want this returned. I was told I should expect the airtubes to get damaged; after 5 nights??

I have been refused a refund and I have been refused a replacement. I have been accused of lying about the packaging and told I have been negligent because there was some mildew in the awning. I have been told the lifetime guarantee is now void because of my negligence. KHYAM have not apologised for the poor quality of the awning sold to me and I have found their comments to me rude and offensive.

At the time of writing I am still awaiting a satisfactory outcome. This meant cancelling a further trip away we had booked for October. One of my emails was not even responded to.

If I could score zero stars I would have done so. Absolutely awful!

Following the reply from khyam I just wanted to add that I find it interesting they have replied to my review but not my last email. It appears they are more invested in protecting their reputation than upholding their responsibility to customers.

The awning has not been returned to as stated twice in Khyam's reply evidencing dishonesty by them. I can only assume it is still packed away covered in the alleged "mould" which the company themselves raise as a "biohazard" which they feel is fine for my children to sleep in.

The after sales support from these guys is the best I’ve ever experienced.

Tent is well designed and the customer service is great. Had an issue sorted and replacement part sent out within a day. Very helpful, polite and efficient team at Khyam.

The design of the Khyam products is brilliant. But the quality control and despatch warehouse are quite incompetent. So be prepared to complain several times to actually get all the missing parts without damage or quality issues.

As new owners of a Vellfire campervan conversion (Northstar) we had no experience with inflatable, driveway awnings. Every question we asked via email was responded to within a couple of hours, if not immediately. No question was considered too trivial or silly, and excellent advice was given.
We ordered on a Friday, and our Airtek pro 1 inflatable driveaway awning was delivered on Monday morning.
The weather hasn't stopped raining since, so not had chance to try our awning out yet, but we feel very confident in Khyam! Perfect!

I looked at a few different outdoor companies for awning options, when I stumbled across Khyam via social media. I didn't know they existed and was surprised with the great options that they have. We ordered the Kamper Pro 4 pole and sleeve awning. We were looking for a durable option for our campervan. This awning exceeds our expectations. Great quality and service. Thank you!!
