Work done, but very high cost

The work got done, but at extremely high cost - we paid 400+ EUR for replacing a single rubber seal. It is important to understand how this company works, because especially for small fixes it is basically extortion:

I emailed them with two requests - a set of wooden window frames that needed repairs, and a separate door frame that needed its rubber seal replaced. Descriptions, pictures, measurements, all of it. They said they can't guarantee anything over email, but the guy who will come inspect will bring the standard materials with him and can fix ~60% of issues on the spot. They explain they charge a fixed rate for that first visit. We make an appointment.

The guy shows up, has no material and clearly states he has no intention of fixing anything that day, that he's just there to inspect. After a short inspection he refuses to do anything about the wooden windows, and takes a sample of the rubber, and leaves - all in all less than 15 minutes.

We get the quote: 215EUR for the first visit, 195EUR to have the rubber replaced. We say that's outrageous, 400+ EUR for a single rubber replacement. Then comes the extortion: if you then don't accept the quote, since the first visit already happened you have to pay that 215EUR regardless - for the 15 minute inspection visit. Plus the cost of having a different provider starting all over.

We decided to pay the 400+ EUR and be done with it - they came by and replaced the rubber in 20 minutes. The work was done well, but the methods are very questionable.

Very experienced & Friendly Service

Very experienced and friendly service! They first came to my place to assess the situation. After thoroughly checking everything, they sent me an offer. Shortly after they scheduled an appointment and solved the issue. Very happy with their service.

Felt like a scam from the start

Felt like a scam from the start. I’d suggest everyone to avoid them or at least try and find out if they have the capacity to fix what you need before you let them in your house. Their way of operating is quite questionable and not very respectful of consumer rights, also their processes are lazy and unprofessional. Sounds a bit like they make lots of money by claiming they can fix your issue and then just charge you for a very expensive “inspection” with no guarantee that they will even try to fix your problem.

I had reached out through a form explaining what type of door I have (the brand etc) and what needs fixing. They did not respond via email but just randomly had a guy show up at my door without an appointment asking if I got time. I was already hesitant since I did not know what the scope would be but I let him in. Once he was already inside he mentioned the price for the first meeting and I felt it would’ve been rude to kick him out at this point

If I knew anything at all about the company, I surely would not have let the guy in but in the moment I had to make a quick decision to trust them which was obviously a huge error. In my opinion I should’ve been provided with some more details of what their company does, in order to make an informed decision about entering into this contract with them. This should not be something that they make you decide once they are at your door but they should provide the full details of their process and make it clear there is a very expensive first visit with no guarantee they can actually help. If I knew that they don’t really specialise in anything I could’ve already guessed that they won’t be able to help me. I would’ve appreciated them sending me some terms and conditions before someone just shows up at my door demanding to get in.

The guy spent some minutes at my place and all he did was look at the door. He then took with him the rubber seal that I had previously removed from the door. He did not do any work nor did he really seem to know what he was doing or how my door works. The company then made me wait for 2 months with no word about the process and when I inquired about the status they simply replied that the work cannot be done and sent a bill of 200 euros. I managed to negotiate it slightly lower but I still paid a ridiculous amount for them doing absolutely nothing.

At the very least they could’ve sent me their terms and conditions before making me decide if I want an inspection and then call or email to ask if I’m okay with a guy coming for an inspection that costs 200 euros where all he does is look at the door. Very horrible customer service and dodgy operations, my advice is to avoid them!

Overall a positive experienxe

The person who came was very nice, however he wasn’t sure what was causing the leakage. Nevertheless he replaced the external kit and adjusted the closure of my windows and it helped. The kit work could have been done better though.

Good service / Poor communication

The service was of high quality and very professional, but there was a lack of information on the timelines, we had to wait 5 months since contracting the project until execution with no contact from the company to give us any updates or reasons for the delay.

Correct

Work was properly carried out, person was friendly but realized after that instead of asking to trash the old joints/rubbers, he just dropped them in the street which is in my opinion not acceptable, either taking them with him or asking me to trash them since work was done inside would have been a mindful thought

Fast, polite, efficient, problem solver

I had a couple of leaks in two different floors, KSN came right the next day (other companies were estimating 3-4 weeks). The technician (Raymond), was right down to work, cleaned the windows and drilled additional holes where necessary, tightened some of the rubbers... explained every single step along the way and did a cracking job!! Thank you Raymond and KSN. And all this in the in the "basistarief". Competent, professional, polite, honest and very cost effective

Thank you Kozijn Service Nederland. You made all the difference.

I had this small but super annoying problem with my window. Namely, it could not be completely closed, so for a year or so it made this annoying zzzzz sound. I tried both left and right to find somebody, anybody who could come and fix it. Everybody refused me. Either they were busy or the job was too small or they wouldn't answer at all. Then one of these companies directed me to the Kozijn Service. As soon as I emailed them, they replied immediately and I could not believe what I was reading. Not only that they understood what I wanted, but they understood how the problem was affecting me. Finally there was somebody that I could talk to. I already felt ten times better after that first contact and for the first time in a year, there was a hope. In the very next email they proposed not one but two terms when they could come, explaining in detail terms and conditions, so there was no a hidden agenda. I love their way of conducting business. The term I opted was actually quite soon after the emails we exchanged. Normally a busy company like them just puts you on a waiting list. I am very grateful for them reacting so quickly. On the day, the specialist showed up on the dot. He rang the bell, but I didn't believe that they would come so I didn't bother checking who was ringing, however the man waited and rang twice. I thank him for being so client orientated, because he could have just left. He came in, and honestly, I had not seen such a professionalism in a loooong, loooong time. He diagnosed the problem immediately and because he came prepared he went back to his car, took the right things and fixed the problem. All in all, everything was done super quickly. We were not late neither for school nor for work. It's so good to come home now and to enjoy your house to the fullest.
I strongly recommend the Kozijn Service Nederland and how I wish I had known them before.
Thank you so much. You made all the difference.
