Stay Away from Küchen Design Berlin

Stay Away from Küchen Design Berlin

I wish I had read the Google reviews before choosing this kitchen studio because we had the exact same frustrating experience as many others.

We bought a kitchen for over €30,000 more than a year ago, carefully planning everything well in advance to avoid delays and ensure a smooth, mistake-free installation. Instead, we got the complete opposite—false promises, poor design execution, terrible customer service, and zero accountability.

False Promises and Misleading Contracts

Before signing, they promise you everything—that the kitchen will be installed all at once, that it will be done to premium standards, that everything will be handled professionally. Once you sign and pay, you find out that is not the case at all.
• The expensive stone countertop is not installed at the same time as the cabinets, something they never mentioned upfront. Suddenly, they need to bring in a separate stone specialist to take precise measurements after the cabinets are built.
• Then, you have to book an appointment with this person, and only after they measure, you are told the countertop will take another six weeks to arrive.
• So for over a month, we were left with a cheap temporary worktop with exposed appliances, which is not what you expect from a high-end kitchen.

Measurement Mistakes and Poor Design Execution
• They measured our kitchen twice, yet still made mistakes.
• A corner in the kitchen skirting that was supposed to blend with the wall was left exposed due to miscalculations.
• The kitchen was supposed to reach the ceiling, and we even paid extra for wood panels, but later they told us it could not because the fridge might overheat, which is a complete design failure on their part.
• When we tried to sort it out, we were told the person who sold us the kitchen had left the company, so suddenly, no one was responsible for fixing these issues, and we were left waiting for someone to get back to us.

Pathetic Customer Service and Compensation

After chasing them for weeks, they finally admitted their design mistake, but their solution was to offer a €500 refund.

Five hundred euros for a kitchen that cost over €30,000 is absolutely insulting. We were not asking for money, we wanted the kitchen they promised and designed for us.

Countertop Stone Delays and More Issues
• After six weeks of waiting, the countertop finally arrived, and there were gaps between the stone and the wall.
• Their response was, “These things happen.” Their solution was to tell us to buy another piece of stone to fix it ourselves.

At this point, I had to ask:
• Why did we pay so much for this kitchen?
• Were they not supposed to be the experts?
• Why did they bring a specialist and measure everything with a laser, only for it not to fit properly?

Final Installation Mess and Zero Responsibility
• The stone had cutouts for electrical plugs, which we specifically requested, but they did not provide the actual plug fixtures.
• Their response was, “That is not our responsibility. We only install the stone.”
• We had to hire an electrician ourselves at our own cost, but how was the electrician supposed to remove fully installed cabinets to fix it? Not their problem.
• On top of that, the kitchen skirting and corner issue was never fixed, and we were told we had to book another appointment with a cabinet installer to complete it.

Final Verdict: Avoid This Company at All Costs

This kitchen was designed over a year ago, and we are still dealing with problems. The entire process has been stressful, unprofessional, and a complete disaster.

If you are looking for a kitchen studio, avoid Küchen Design Berlin. They rely on too many subcontractors, and when things go wrong, no one takes responsibility. They just blame each other and leave the customer to deal with the mess.

Go with a company that handles everything in-house and actually delivers on what they promise. We deeply regret trusting Küchen Design Berlin, and I hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake.
