This language app is so complicated and…

This language app is so complicated and confusing. I didn’t find the lessons helpful at all. I subscribed because I used to use the Laura Lawless website so I thought it would be good, wrong. Strongly recommend using the free site before parting with any money.

Grammar. And more grammar. Excellent app.

I´ve used more than a dozen different language apps and still use a handful to continue learning Spanish. No single app checks all the boxes for language learning, it seems.

KwizIQ, which I have now been using for almost a year, stands out as a tool for learning grammar. No talkie and little listening... just enough to guide a student's pronunciation. The AI holds my interest, without trying to be too hokey or gamified.

When I first started using KwizIQ, I was a little frustrated that I never scored 100% accuracy on the quizzes. Who doesn't like to be a winner? The trick is to put one's pride aside and realize that mistakes are how we learn. If we know all the answers, no reason to keep studying and learning.

The responses are usually encouraging, but can indeed be a little snarky ("Have you had your coffee yet?!") But once I realize how badly I had done in the quiz, I get over it and laugh and just "hit the books" again (another response I hate to hear)

But that's what it takes! Study, quiz, study, quiz. The nice thing about this app is that your study time focuses on the mistakes, which after all, is how one really learns.

I'm loving the progress guides: Brainmap and Improvement Timeline. They are very useful and motivating.

My IT isn't a true curve. It is more of a stepped curve, which helps me understand what the AI is doing behind the scenes. The quizzes push me to my limits, until I am making more mistakes and correct answers. Then the app seems to reward my learning by cruising more smoothly for awhile and the exercises seem almost easy.... almost, but not quite.

And I know it's just a matter of time before I'm flunking again and need more coffee to drink while I hit the books.

I subscribed to KwizIQ

I subscribed to KwizIQ, for French. I do not think it's good at all. - certainly there are far better courses out there.
One major irritation is the petty way they mark your work. If you miss out a cedilla, or put in a hyphen where it's not accurately needed, or use a capital letter etc, they mark you as wrong with insulting platitudes such as "better luck next time".
Try some other course. Something where they encourage you, rather than jumping on minor errors with goulish zeal.

Highly recommended

I really like Kwiziq (Spanish) It's been the best app for my learning style. It recommends a study plan but you can also move around and study what you want. Everything is grouped by level si it's really easy to navigate.
I really like the writing practice part. That has helped me with my sentence structures. Also the listening and reading exercises. They go from A1 to C1 level. The fill in the blank quizes for prepositions has helped me with getting my head around using por/para correctly.

CONTENT
I have used Kwiziq for some time now (Spanish) after having tried other approaches. For grammar, reading and writing it is outstanding. The site even gets my Spanish partner's approval.

QUALITY OF KWIZIQ TEAM
Errors? There aren't any. This is amazing considering how much content is on the website. The Kwiziq team have a very solid feedback process and provide detailed explanations/corrections quickly.

The best way to learn

Pretty much the best way to learn Spanish (or French) if you have some time to dedicate. It uses an AI algorithm to instruct you on a topic and then questions you to test your knowledge, repeating at intervals designed to reinforce your learning.
