I buy multiple sets of Lady M twice a year for Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival as gifts for my customers.

The shipments are always delayed until I call customer service. On top of that, every time, it is missing an envelope, a decoration, or some other small item.

Customer service has been horrible to begin with and has only gotten worse. Last time, they showed absolutely no interest in fixing the issue or sending me the missing envelope. I spend almost a thousand dollars every single time, and it is missing a simple paper envelope.

Overall, I am very, very disappointed. It seems like nobody cares.

Update: After writing this review yesterday, the owner reached out to me and made things right. I guess Lady M is trying to improve their customer service, and I'm willing to give them another chance—especially since I really love their products.

I was excited to visit their new Columbus Circle boutique. This location is a bright, elegant atmosphere that makes you want to sit down and savor every bite. The staff greeted me warmly and provided excellent service. The Signature Mille Crêpes was just as exceptional - light, dedicate, and perfectly balanced. This new location is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Whether you are a longtime fan or are trying Lady M cakes for the first time, I highly recommend stopping by. Incredible cakes. If you want to impress your guests or just have a lovely dessert after a nice meal, Lady M is the go-to dessert in our family. Being Asian, I really appreciate that the cakes are never overly sweet. They’re perfectly balanced, light, and elegant. I usually don’t even eat dessert, but when I do, it’s always Lady M. Believe me, your guests will ask you where you found the cake.

The cake is really good. Soft and delicious.

Lady M sells very expensive crepe cakes by mail. I decided to splurge and ordered one for a special birthday based on their description which said there was “pastry cream” between each layer. Pastry cream is a custard cream and a favorite of my husband’s.

However, when I received the cake, the so called “pastry cream” between the layers turned out to be run of the mill sweetened whipped cream. This is NOT pastry cream!! We never would have ordered it if it had been honestly described. This cake cost over $100 including shipping and we threw it out after eating only 1 slice.

I contacted the company to question this and they blew me off with a glib answer and showed no concern whatsoever with our disappointment. I didn’t even ask for a thing — just to talk to them about their faulty description. They didn’t care at all and that felt much worse than getting a cake we didn’t like.
