Most worst service.
Staff behaviour was third class , even don’t know how to talk with customer!!
They hv given car with so many damages and car was hybrid but their batteries were not serviced. They expected to clean the car from customer.

I requested GPS and wifi for our rental. We had to go back and ask for the wifi as they didn't give it to us when we picked up the car. The GPS didn't work, we paid extra for a GPS that couldn't even get us back to the rental car location to drop off the car! The car made horrible noises and I was surprised it didn't break down during our trip. I would never use this company again.

Never again! Their off hours drop off is a lie. I was told to drop the car off at 4:15am and there would be someone to take me to the airport, which there wasn’t. Had to wait over 45 minutes until their office opened.

I had a great experience with Lava rentals from start to finish.

Very easy process. Great customer service.

Do not hesitate when looking for rental companies and go straight for this one.

The shuttle signs at the airport are not clear. The driver who picked us was rude and the employee at the car rental matched the overall rudeness. The car was old and run down. Customer service is non existent with this company!

Good car rental , polite staff ,fast service

Easy process overall. No credit card required, which is a major plus. Shuttle to and from the airport was great. Overall, happy with the process. The girl who checked me in on arrival was not super expressive and did not explain the gas card or how to use them. I tried several times at the pumps throughout my trip and not sure was successful. I didn’t learn how to use it until I heard a girl explaining it to another customer when returning the car. Would have been helpful on my journey. Other than that, no issues. Would use again.

The Camper was spot clean and had everything to camp and live comfortable. The included key fob for fuel discount was nice. The check in process was a bit slow (rush hour). But they were really nice and effective.
Unfortunately, the only USB was not working and we could not charge our phones on the road. This is why I take 1 star. They should have check it...

Overall would definitely recommend, but check the car before!!

If I could give a minus rating I would.

It took 30 minutes for pick up and the person picking up said watch the video which was wrong.

Warning lights came on in the card which i had to deal with

Apparently they are most interested in selling extra car insurance without telling you the reasons why.

Great experience with Lava Car Rental! We had to call to be picked up at the airport and then, in a few minutes, we were on our way with our car, Dacia Duster 4x4. The car was in great condition, the tires were good (studded in case of bad weather) and we had no problems. The only complaint was the AdBlue refil warning that remained fixed on "refil within 2400 km". Not being sure when it had appeared, we drove hundreds of km with this doubt; once we refilled everything was resolved, now we are waiting for the refund as explicitly stated in their conditions. For the rest we have driven over 1400 km and everything went well. Fast and clear even in returning the car. I highly recommend these guys, it was a simple experience from start to finish!

We had an amazing road trip through Iceland, but our experience with Lava Car Rental was a major letdown.

Despite purchasing their Full Protection Service, we ended up paying out of pocket for a flat tire – a basic roadside issue that should have been covered. While my friend, a trained car mechanic, was ready to fix the problem, the car wasn’t equipped with a spare tire, and the repair spray was useless because the damage was on the sidewall.

We called both Lava’s main and emergency numbers. The emergency line directed us to an external 24/7 road assistance provider, who delivered a temporary spare. That alone cost us around €850, and the new tire another €140, all paid on the spot.

We followed Lava’s instructions and submitted the receipts by email. Weeks later, we’ve received no reply whatsoever. We’ve called and sent follow-up emails, but the company continues to ignore us.

In short:
• Car was not properly equipped
• We had Full Protection, but are still waiting for any form of reimbursement
• Customer service has been completely unresponsive

We urge future renters to think twice before trusting Lava’s insurance coverage or support claims. A company that sells “Full Protection” but ghosts you when things go wrong is not one we can recommend.

Car had more scratches than the contract showed. Lava did not want to revise the contract. Some hassle at the start but car was ok and upon return no hassle.

Excellent experience with Lava Car Rental! We were collected from the airport and were on the road in our car within minutes. The car was in great condition, and perfect size for 5 adults and 5 suitcases..easy and hassle free return of car as the transfere back to airport...you get an email one Day before returnere Witherspoon some info and tips...super service

Excellent experience with Lava Car Rental! We were collected from the airport and were on the road in our car within minutes. The car was in great condition, tyres were good (studded in case of winter weather!) and we had no issues. Over 1600 miles driven before we had to come home. I can highly recommend these guys, it was an easy experience from start to finish!

easy pick up from the departure gate, quick process to get vehicle, clean, and got advice on some of the traffic rules. The in car wifi was wonderful, in order to use google maps, and find gas stations, and restaurants. Turning car in piece of cake
