I had previously purchased the same model camera from eBay. That came damaged. You were recommended by a friend. I got the same camera for £5 more with a 6 month warranty. It came in it’s original box with instructions , charger and battery. The condition was like new. Very very pleased.

This is not about the goods I have yet to receive but the help that two of the staff at your Guidford branch tried to give me. They deserve the stars. Sadly they were unable to help me have the goods delivered. You have installed a secure system for deliveries and sent a code/password to my landline which hasn't worked for years. The DPD driver is unable to hand over the goods until I have this code.He has twice called here but not allowed to hand them over. Neither DPD nor your branch were able to help . I have since ordered two more items and hope that this time the code is sent to my email or my mobile phone number otherwise this is going to be another long and complicated procedure.

I spotted the lens at a good price and on receipt it really measured up to the description - a pleasant change from some sellers of used equipment.

The price of the lens I wanted to buy was about the same as others sellers on ebay. LCE's offer for my old lens was less than I could get on ebay. But - and its a big but, LCE offer a 6 month guarantee, postage of your old lens to them is prepaid and they quickly agreed with my evaluation of my old lens and sent the new one. The new lens was exactly as described. So you are getting peace of mind - which is important when you are dealing with quite expensive purchases. On ebay I have seen multiple miss-described lens - for example mk II lenses being advertised as mk III. Every single time I contact ebay to raise the incorrect description NOTHING happens and the adverts remain unchanged. I have reported fakes and nothing happens. I have even got the original manufacturer to back up my claim something is fake and still ebay does nothing. So unless you are very experienced, very careful and lucky LCE offers a better experience for slightly more money then ebay.

I bought a second hand Pentax 35mm f2.4 lens that was described as in excellent condition and indeed it was. It was extremely well packaged and arrived safely
