I walked into the LCE Worcester Shop earlier this month knowing very little about cameras and wanted some help choosing one for myself to begin a new hobby. I was greeted by George and was able to tell him how I wanted to use a camera. George was super-helpful, patient and very knowledgeable taking time to ensure I understood the new language of cameras and helped me choose the perfect camera for my needs. I am absolutely delighted with my purchase and so enjoying exploring what it will do. Huge thanks to George at LCE. I can’t recommend this branch of LCE highly enough.

Good telephone advice and prompt dispatch

Russell at the Worcester store deserves a medal, we made an appointment as we needed expert advice on buying a new pair of Binoculars, it turned out that was not what we needed at all, we needed a Scope, and over 1.5hrs Russell introduced us to the world of Scopes.... we bought a Hawke 15-35x56 Frontier ED X Scope, plus a Hawke 8 x 42 Endurance ED Monocular, a Vanguard ALTA Pro 3VL Al video tripod and two Lowepro soft cases, and Russell did it all as a "Bundle Price" making it an even better deal. We are totally loving this new found "Vision" of nature, so a HUGE thanks to Russell for looking after us and finding a brilliant solution to our need. Sorry the review is late, we've been enjoying our purchases 😃!!

Was lucky to grab an open box Peak Design camera strap from LCE Worcester online at a fair price.

Everything went as smoothly as I’ve come to expect from London Camera Exchange.

Slight confusion regarding delivery method and whether the package would fit through a standard UK letterbox (spoiler alert - it won’t. I tried it later) and a PIN code for courier.

But these were quickly sorted by email, which was promptly responded to.

Excellent price and free next working day delivery

I went to LCE Worcester on a bit of an impulse, just to get some ideas about an upgrade to my camera kit. George was so attentive, listened to what I wanted from my next camera and demonstrated such good knowledge, that I ended up buying there and then. A few weeks later now, and I have absolutely no regrets! I can heartily recommend George and the LCE Worcester! Brilliant service all round!

The value was provided after 1/2 hour while I went for a coffee.The price was excellent.
The staff are always friendly and helpful, but the young lady who served me was both knowledgeable and professional even when I couldn’t make my mind up on what I wanted. I wish I could remember her name.

LCE responded to my query promptly and I was then able to purchase the item. It was well packaged and arrived a day earlier than I expected, which could have been an issue.

Excellent professional and efficient transaction in the trade in of two lenses and purchase of another. Would definitely use LCE (Worcester) in the future.

I have to say, on a positive note, that all of the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable throughout my visit.
On a less positive note, if you are planning to sell or part-exchange your equipment, it is worth doing some research beforehand. I decided to trade in all of my existing kit — a Canon 70D DSLR along with multiple lenses — as I wanted to move to something more compact and lightweight to carry around. As I was also purchasing my new camera from the store, I had assumed I may have received a slightly better price for my equipment as part of the exchange.
At the time, I felt the offer I received was reasonable. I was advised that my Canon 70D had a minor issue with the mode selector, along with some rust around the flash mount, and that it would likely need to be sent away for attention. Because of this, I received very little for the body itself — around £65, if I remember correctly — which seemed fair enough given the explanation.
However, a few days later, I happened to look at the store’s used equipment listings online and was disappointed to see the significant mark-up on the items I had traded in, particularly the 70D. The camera body, paired with one of the kit lenses I had included, was listed for £329. Looking at the pricing of the remaining lenses as well, it appears the store could potentially make over £700 profit from the equipment overall.
I appreciate that part of what you pay for is the convenience and speed of trading items in rather than selling privately yourself. That said, having since looked into current market prices, I do feel I could realistically have made an additional £350–£400 by selling the equipment independently.
Just something worth being aware of if you are considering selling or trading in your gear.
