I bought a flat in Fitzrovia with Ben from LDG. Process was very smooth, trustworthy agent who I felt safe dealing with - never felt that he was trying to upsell . Very straightforward process and will use again in future purchases.

10 years a tenant, nothing good.

Been a tenant with them for nearly a decade. What a miserable experience.

They are not good at much, apart from finding ways to not return your deposit. Nothing was ever fixed in a timely manner, most things we had to fix ourselves. After a flood caused by a neighbour when we were abroad they tried to make us pay for renovations. Simply too many unpleasant experiences.

When moving out we hired a professional cleaning service, only to be surprised by receiving a £300 cleaning bill nevertheless. Their own contractors made a terrible mess right as we moved out and they made us cover the cleaning costs, again!

Good grief.

Don’t work with them.

Brilliant service / top professionals!

As always, impressed with the exceptional customer service. LDG definitely know what they are doing by putting people first, as that’s the best way to win hearts and, consequently, business…!

I’ve dealt with several LDG departments in the last few years, and could confidently confirm that they are brilliant thoughout..!

My HUGE THANKS for the latest successful project go to Harrison. He deserves an Oscar for dealing with nervous clients like me (and guess, with many who need that firm friendly help to navigate in a complicated and stressful property market… especially in Fitzrovia where properties might go under offer the day they appear online..)

Special thanks to Harry, who was as brilliant when Harrison was on holiday (and ‘held fort’ with my repeated questions and endless viewings ;)

Looking forward to LDG help on our next project/ have full trust they would be as brilliant…!

I had really bad experience with them ……

I had really bad experience with them … rent their property over 2 years, they never ever came to fix anything what we reported … we did it by ourself most of the things and when I left it they don’t want to give me back full deposit… they want to charge me £400 for one light bulb what need to be change and few scratches which were there before …. Don’t recommend to anyone to use their services. Pavol

Thank you for many years of fantastic Service!

As a landlord who has been with LDG for many many years, I couldn't recommend their services enough. The team exudes a warm, family-run atmosphere while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and service excellence. They always show genuine concern for both landlords and tenants, promptly addressing any issues and ensuring everything goes smoothly for all concerned. Thank you as always!

Nightmare

They're mediocre at best before you become tenants and a nightmare when you become tenants - from the moment I needed property maintenance (hot water broke, light fixture fell off the ceiling) I was talking to a brick wall. Lights took 2.5 months to fix with multiple no-notice cancellations when I was waiting at home all day for the handyman to come. Hot water took a week and I had to email the landlord (which LDG refused give me the contact details of so I found it on my tenancy agreement). Considering they charge for property management it's baffling.
It took me seven (SEVEN!) weeks to get my deposit back with a ridiculously high cleaning deduction but I don't even have the energy and time left in me to fight against them after two years. My emails were ignored for more than a month and only after I send a "demanding" email, they respond in a minute. So don't be polite to them as they'll take it for granted. Property management is the worst I've ever come across and is just an unfunny joke at this point.
Property renewal is also just like talking to brick wall until it's their turn they need a response and they'll be hounding you on email and the phone for days. Received multiple rude emails saying that I've "ignored" their emails when I've asked them for more time to think and they've ignored those requests.
I am so happy that I finally got to move out of their managed property and will never ever rent or buy with them again.

BEWARE POOR TREATMENT OF TENANTS BY LDG…

BEWARE POOR TREATMENT OF TENANTS BY LDG
It isn’t our nature to complain or post complaints on line.
We have been tenants at a Marylebone Apartment marketed by LDG for the past 12 months.
The monthly rent was more than £3,000
We were expecting an “average to good” service from LDG.
Sadly, our experience has been far from satisfactory.
In short, LDG we’re happy to let us move into an apartment which was not fit for purpose to live in, with broken, dangerous furniture and in a poor state of decoration. The previous tenants had caused considerable damage.
It was heart breaking for us.
After continual complaining, LDG & the Landlord slowly repaired all of the problems over a 3 month period, which caused us frustrating inconvenience.
If only they had provided us with the apartment in a fit condition from the start.

During the 12 month lease the loud noisy floor boards from the apartment above kept us awake each night.
Our Landlord also owned the apartment above us.
Our health and mental well-being suffered the consequences of lack of sleep and again we started to complain. We received sporadic responses from LDG days and even weeks later, causing us to move out for long periods of time in order to catch up on our sleep.
We registered our complaint 9th Nov 2022 and the schedule works to rectify the floor boards and stop the noise from above still wasn’t completed by June 2023.
During our 12 month lease we were forced to spend less than 6 months in the apartment because of lack of sleep.

We vacated the apartment at the end of the lease 11th July 2023. As a result of the dreadful service and communication we had received from LDG during the previous 12 months, we were concerned about receiving our deposit back.
Our family spent a week redecorating the apartment before we vacated and left it in a pristine condition, compared to the poor state it was in we moved in.

After 4 weeks LDG have informed us there will be deductions from our deposit, but they haven’t said how much this will be.
The 3rd party inspection & check out report details a faulty hob amongst other things, in which they intend to charge us for. However, the condition of the hob is exactly how we inherited it!

It really is the icing on the cake and so we want to warn other wouldbe tenants to be careful when renting an partnent through LDG.
Our experience has been grossly unsatisfactory and has caused us much distress.

We have video eveidence of the move in and move out condition of the apartment and also recordings of the floorboard noise during the nights.

We are registering a complaint with ARLA the governing body of Letting & Estate Agents.

Absolutely predatory estate agent

Absolutely predatory estate agent. Ceiling had a leak caused by the flat above, which became mouldy. Estate agents did nothing to fix it and then tried to pass the costs onto us the tenants.

These estate agents wanted to charge £600 pounds for a professional clean and £90 to replace 3 picture hooks. If you want to be rinsed by an estate agent after your tenancy, with the agents doing the bare minimum to maintain the property while renting there, this is the agency for you.

LDG Really Do Care!!

Well done LDG and thank you!!
We had a poor experience initially, but after our complaint, both the Management Team and one of the Owners got involved to rectify the situation. They visited our apartment and have put a plan in place to make good everything. It was also good to hear the Partner of the business speak passionately about their history and culture and how they care for their Landlords and Tenants. Our initial experience has now been converted into a good experience and we are thankful to the Team at LDG. We're now looking forward to enjoying the apartment again which is great.
