super quick support

We borrowed a dresser from friend that was missing 2 screws – I got in touch with Leander support who, within one day, identified the right screws and shipped them to me.

Really responsive abnd helpful customer service. I made contact about replacement parts and someone got back to me within 24 hrs and offered to send me what I needed (no charge). A rare outcome with companies these days.

The change mat I’ve had for one year is…

The change mat I’ve had for one year is cracked despite caring for it properly. Customer service have been most unhelpful assisting with a return despite the three year warranty.

Edited to add Leander kindly linked me up with the supplier who promptly sent a replacement item.

Leander Luna bed quality

We have bought a Leander Luna bed in Denmark at Babysam. A very pretty bed, but was missing a part that was needed to finish contriction. Then the spare part was sent to us, but in wrong lenght. So we had to wait for another one.

When we bought the stick for the cloud (himmelpind). The only 2 colors that they sell in Denmark dis not match to the wood color of the bed. We also got the cloth (himmel). The piece of material that should fit exactly this bed model did not fit through the stick (pind) that was also made specifically for this bed. So now we have wrong color stick and a piece of cloth that does not go through. Taking the price into account, we expected better quality of product. Do not recommend it to anyone.

Excellent customers relations

When I assembled the Linea changing table one part broke. Immediately after I contacted customers relations, they managed to identify the broken part and send me a new one. Thanks for excellent handling.

The downside of "Nordic design"

Clearly an attempt to get under the golden glow of "Nordic design". However, it becomes painfully obvious that the people at Leander are not actually designers, however Nordic they are.

The classic cradle is just everything a cradle shouldn't be. Hard metal bars all around where the baby can hit itself and the soft parts of its head against during sleep. Completely unergonomic in that it's shaped so that the human body whose shape is an X when extended is limited by the oval shape.

The steep edges combined with the straps carrying the crib itself makes it cumbersome to put the baby in and take it out of the crib, and mostly results in waking the baby up.

I'm sure there are people who buy it for the illusion of having something designed in a Nordic country. But design is more than just slapping some rough off-white materials together.

Giving feedback to the company I got the reply that "Other people liked it", when I gave a detailed description of the quite obvious design flaws. It was made clear that I was the problem, not the design.

I work closely with designers in my job, so I took it by some actual designers to have a look, and all agreed that it was mostly "Brand trash".

So there you go, how do you make money? You make "Nordic design" and then just pump out the most abhorrent piece of trash you can dream up. Then you tell the customer it's their problem for not having a baby whose arms sprout from the navel and no head.

Denmark have a very proud design history, this is just a shadow on it.

We can inform you that the Leander Classic cradle is tested and approved according to the European standards for child safety and dangerous substances. The cradle has also been tested by midwifes, which are very impressed by the functions of the cradle.

HOWEVER, we know that babies (and parents) are different. Some will love the cradle, the design and the calm movement and others will not.

My son had bought a Leander skötbord in…

My son had bought a Leander skötbord in France.....a model which is now a couple of years old. Then something happened during a move which can occur with anyone: they lost the fittings which were sturdy and specific to the model and construction. Luckily, our contact at Leander HQ in Denmark was super helpful, professional and went the little extra distance to find a set of fittings to this model.....and sent it to France to my son who received them within a few days! An amazingly caring experience, Thank you so much for the excellent after sales service! And the excellent design.
