Five Star Fabulous Sofas and Service!

We cannot speak highly enough of the staff, service and products at The Leather Sofa Company, all of them are Five Star. Our purchase was done online/over the phone, not in-store, even so, it was a personal and pleasant experience from start to finish.

We mostly dealt with Paul who was professional, kind and accommodating, and cheerfully went the extra mile for us on every question/issue we raised, every time. Long story short, we ordered two matching leather sofas, but ended up with a different colour than we originally intended (from dark grey, to light grey), but ultimately, we were THRILLED.

Thanks to the company's diligent service in posting us a receipt with full details of our order before delivery, we picked up on this colour confusion ahead of time, called Paul, and with his help (he emailed extra pics of the light grey sofas), we were able to decide we would take that colour. Thank God we did - it is beautiful, such a classy, elegant dove grey shade, we adore it. It has lightened and brightened the room and looks stunning. So much better than the darker shade of grey would have been!

The leather is described online as thick and it certainly is, with that quality feel and smell of a luxury car interior. We had previously made the mistake of buying matching sofas from an inferior sofa company - we bought two made from 'bonded leather'. Never again! We were lucky to get 4 years wear from them, but they are NOT real leather, they do not wear like leather, and should never, ever be mistaken for leather!

Finally a shout out for our amazing delivery men, who again were cheerful, efficient and ever-accommodating. We will return, and will send all friends and family to 'The Leather Sofa Company' in future, without hesitation. Thank you guys!

If there was a minus review I would…

If there was a minus review I would award it twice over.
Purchased a three seater and two chairs. Within a short time the leather was peeling and the seat was slouching. After they tried to repair it and failed they replaced the three seater. Great we thought, about eighteen months later the same thing happened. As we had taken out the extra insurance (which we were told would cover anything) we thought there would be a problem in righting the wrong . When we contacted the insurance company they sent someone out to inspect it. We then had a letter stating they would not cover it as it was wear and tear. We are two pensioners, no pets so surely this would indicate that the suite wasn't as sturdy as we thought. It wasn't a cheap suite, so we expected better.

Excellent Customer Service

Just before the UK wide lockdown in Mar 20, we visited the Leather Sofa Company in Swansea and ordered 2 x 2 seater Natuzzi recliner sofas. Obviously, with a worldwide pandemic delivery was delayed but when the sofas were delivered that October, we immediately noticed a mismatch in colours and height. We informed the Leather Sofa Company who contacted Natuzzi to arrange an inspection. Natuzzi only offered to replace part of the sofas but Paul in the Swansea branch stepped in and ordered full replacements as he was not satisfied with Natuzzi's response either. The replacements arrived today and are just what we expected originally. We consider the Leather Sofa Company to have provided excellent Customer Service standards above and beyond what we would have expected given the cost of replacing the sofas. They kept us up to date with good communications throughout and we cannot thank them enough for providing such a personal and committed service. We could not say the same of Natuzzi but we highly recommend the Leather Sofa Company!

Great Sofa Retailer

Bought an Italian leather sofa from Chris at the Swansea store and we are delighted with the service, the delivery drivers, the product and the price. The premises is far from glitzy but that’s reflected in the price and they had just what we were looking for.

Once again fantastic service from this…

Once again fantastic service from this company needed a suite for elderly aunt they actually delivered a chair for her to try in her home to make sure it was suitable. Highly recommended great service and a beautiful Italian leather suite delivered to its new home

Excellent experience from start to…

Excellent experience from start to finish. I made an appointment, checked all the sofas in store and picked the one I wanted from a huge selection. They delivered it yesterday (just a few days later) and the delivery men were brilliant, especially when my 5 year old decided to help! Thank you so much for your fabulous service, see you again when I need another one! I cannot recommend highly enough.

Homophobic and Insulting Treatment.

Homophobic and Insulting Treatment.

We bought sofas from this company. They arrived and one sofa was a different shade to the other. We arranged a return and all was fine to be fair - they sent a guy out who could see clearly there was a problem. But when the delivery people came to our house to pick it up they ridiculed us from outside our home. We're a gay couple (not obviously so, but that's not relevant). When the delivery guy working for the sofa company delivered a replacement sofa he stood outside our front door but did not know we could see him. He then turned to his mate and did a 'limp wristed' action and they both laughed. It was totally insulting, degrading and homophobic. When I rang the company to complain about this they were rude and insensitive about the issue and did not once apologise.

When the delivery guy did his 'limp wristed' action he hadn't yet met us, so it's quite clear we were spoken about by the company as a 'gay couple' in a way that the guy felt he could ridicule us on our doorstep. Insulting experience the like of which we have not ever met before. Item was not great quality either. Lasted a few years.

In short, we spent £2000 with them to be treated homophobically in this way. Totally disappointing and not what you expect in modern society and certainly the poorest customer experience we have ever encountered. I think if the management had seen fit to truly apologise at the time, we might have been minded to pass the whole thing off as the immature actions of just one delivery driver; however, that they didn't would suggest that the homophobia we faced was more deep seated than one isolated event. I hope the company have moved on from that behaviour and that staff have received appropriate training in dealing with customers with dignity, respect and equality.
