Have so far had a positive experience…

Have so far had a positive experience with Lend a Brick. Have been able to choose the sets that I desire and understand the 3 month policy to be able to borrow larger sets. Look forward to building my next

Louise, thank you so much, this made our day! Really glad you're enjoying the service and that you've been able to find sets you actually want to build.

The 3 month policy for the larger sets is always worth the wait we promise.

Can't wait to hear what you build next, feel free to let us know!

Very Limited Sets, Long Turn round times, Avoid

This is a great idea at first, however issues started arrising fairly quickly. I had signed up to borrow 1 piece at a time, but the turnround time from when Lend a Brick recieved my Lego back to when i was able to choose a new one was quite long at times up to 4 days. Then the selection i could borrow was very limited, I understood that once i had been a member for 3 months the selection would increase, however at 1 time there was only a choice of 25 sets that i could choose from and most of them were aged at 7years and below. As i was unable to rent a sent for over a week, i had paid for a subscription that i was unable to use therefore I had no option but to cancel my subscription. It seems Lend a Brick doesn't have multiple sets, I sent them a message asking for a Refund for the month i had been unable to obtain a Lego Set, i had no response for 6 days, so I sent them another message, they responded but they did not address the Refund Request.
I have now joined another Lego Group and so far the service is so much better.

Hi Karen, thank you for the detailed feedback, it's hard to read but genuinely useful.

You're right, in our earlier days our library was smaller and turnaround times were slower than they should have been. We've grown a lot since then, our set library is much bigger now including one of the largest Star Wars collections of any UK rental service, and we've improved our processing times significantly.

The refund request not being handled properly is on us and we're sorry for that. If you ever want to reach out at hi@lendabrick.com we'd like to make it right.

We hope you'll give us another shot one day. Things have changed a lot.

Watch out for hidden shipping costs

Looks great on the face of it. Great idea when you consider the cost of purchasing lego these days. I subscribed to the middle plan which allows me to choose which set I borrow each month. What they don't tell you before you subscribe is that their sets are quite limited and the sets you'd actually want to borrow are mostly already on loan. Then there's delivery! They don't tell you anywhere that your £14.95pm doesn't include delivery. For that privilege you have to fork out another £4.95, which you find out after you've chosen your set and are all excited about building it.

Hi, thanks for the honest feedback and we're glad the concept appeals to you.

You're right that delivery isn't included in the subscription price and we completely understand the frustration if that wasn't clear enough before you checked out. It is covered in our FAQs but we hear you that it needs to be more visible upfront and we're looking at making that clearer on the pricing page.

Just so you know, Royal Mail Tracked 48 both ways for a LEGO set actually costs us more than the £4.95 we charge, so we absorb a chunk of that cost ourselves. We're not trying to hide it, we just haven't made it prominent enough and that's on us.

On the set availability, our library has grown significantly and we'd love to have you back to see the difference.

Drop us a line at hi@lendabrick.com and we'll make sure you get a set you actually want to build.
