I had the pleasure of working with Geneva. Who would have ever thought that the resume process could be fun! She had so many great tips and pointer. I am more confident going into my job search now.

I've previously tried a competitor and was incredibly disappointed with that experience. Praise specific to your writer?

"Kailey-bration" is the best word to describe Kailey Collins. Big ups to her for being able to distill 20 years of experience circuitous yet related experiences (albeit in the same general creative field) into something coherent, cohesive, and professional. It’s a living document that I’m proud to show and develop. So, goal achieved. It was a pleasure working with her. I think the biggest thing I learned in this process is that I can't give creative license over to another writer and call it a day. It’s a collaboration. 

Without saying anything at all, Kailey engendered a collaborative, friendly vibe for me to be myself in the writing process. Perhaps it was her open-ness to hopping on a call. I was able to learn on her for her expertise regarding the ATS and best practices. She concurrently asked precise, targeted questions when something wasn't clear about the industry. I relied on her eagle-eyed precision and she also deferred to me creatively, so it worked out.

Another commendation for Kailey was her ability to be able to quickly onboard and understand the entertainment/creative industry very quickly, including its nuances. 
I appreciate her timeliness as well as gentle nudges and proactive accountability.

Experience

Love the initial phone call. Matthew Villanueva was a personable intro to the process. He never tried to be pushy in his services. He trusted his service and his team, and I in turn said “Why, not?” and was not disappointed. 
The writing process took a patient 1 month, and was followed up at the end with careful guidance, with Matthew literally sitting next to me to guide me through the new nuances of LinkedIn’s best practices. The initial phone intake was careful and a supplemented by a question/answer sheet to direct my writer Kailey Collins. We went through multiple iterations before landing on a final. Kailey was patient, encouraging, and prompt. VERY HAPPY with the final outcome and Matthew’s personal guidance afterward further exemplified their commitment to customer service! Props!

Improvements?

Very minor. I know there's a formula and method to the madness. e.g. verb followed by function, etc. Strict adherence to that formula doesn't necessarily lend itself to all industries. Short, staccato words that were tracked by ATS, that also functioned as a creative writing tool was achieved for me. 
Kailey and Matthew got around this with finesse, in fact encouraging me to have more creative license and use my voice as a writer to create a practical, pragmatic document to present to prospective employers while also being understanding of my creative voice that needed to emerge as a writer myself. As a creative writer, the resume also had to serve as a writing sample, and I believe we got there together!

Overall

If you’re overthinking it, don’t! I only wished that I’d done this sooner.

Given the company's highly acclaimed reputation, my expectations for the premium package were set very high. Regrettably, the outcome fell short of my hopes. I endeavored to provide all the necessary information, promptly responding to requests for additional details, yet the final result left much to be desired.

Instead of focusing on addressing disparities in my work experience, I found myself dedicating an extensive amount of time rectifying formatting issues. Both the cover letter and resume presented a myriad of appearance-related problems, with the document's language appearing notably lackluster.

I must commend the writer for displaying a commendable level of dedication in improving the resume and their openness to accommodating feedback. However, the end product, despite these efforts, merely met a baseline level of quality.

Subsequently, a friend introduced me to a free resource, which not only enhanced my documents but also introduced me to valuable tools and insights. Regrettably, I cannot foresee using this company's services in the future, nor can I confidently recommend it to my friends and colleagues.
