So I have immensely enjoyed my LG C1 for almost six years now for films, series, and gaming. Zero complaints. Until this effed-up company started joining the AI infestation. Now suddenly, my TV starts... See more

This LG.com website offers terrible…
This LG.com website offers terrible customer service; never purchase anything from it. In particular, the executives in charge of customer service never assist. It's best to purchase from a retailer.
Abysmal customer service
Abysmal customer service. The flat rate repair program imprisons you. And despite the mechanical issue that I was told was a manufacturer error, I had to give over the money to get the refrigerator repaired, and without any hope for the money to be even partially refunded. The repairs were to fix a motor that "was not covered," and despite it being a "common complaint" per the repair guy, LG did not stand by this and refused to refund the money I paid for the repair. I had to pay for the part in addition to the labor, and all told, I am not out $760.00. Add to this the ridiculous phone tree, excessive "hold" time, and you have a horrible consumer experience. In sum: DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS!
Consumer Warning
Consumer Warning: Do not buy an LG fridge if you live in Kamloops or elsewhere in BC without doing your homework first.
LG advertises warranty coverage, but here’s the reality: in BC, LG does not offer extended warranties, and even the limited warranty they do provide is difficult to use because of lack of local service support.
In Kamloops, there is essentially one service provider available, and the reviews are not reassuring. When I contacted LG Electronics, they acknowledged there’s no real service network locally. The response was basically: use the one available company and hope for the best.
So what does that mean?
No option to purchase extended warranty coverage in BC
Limited manufacturer warranty
Little to no reliable local repair support
You’re left dealing with a single third-party provider on your own
A warranty only has value if there’s a dependable way to use it. Right now, that’s not the case here.
Before buying any LG appliance, especially in smaller markets like Kamloops, make sure you confirm who will actually service it locally—not just what’s written in the warranty.
Laundry dryer was of very poor quality…
Laundry dryer was of very poor quality breaking down multiple times and customer service even worst. Feels like talking to an AI with no ability to make any progress to resolving issues.
Very bad experience
Very bad experience, worst service,not recommended at all..... throw your money on road instead of paying them
LG OLED65GX6LA Review. Great Picture, Disappointing Lifespan 😕📺
I bought the LG OLED65GX6LA about 5 years ago, expecting a premium TV to last much longer, especially at this price point.
While the picture quality has always been excellent, the reliability has been a real letdown. After around 5 years of normal use, it started randomly switching off, making it frustrating and unreliable to watch.
For such an expensive TV, you expect durability and consistency, not issues that make it almost unusable. Sadly, it’s not something I’d trust again when it comes to long-term value.
Avoid LG appliances
When we built our home in 2017, we purchased a full suite of LG kitchen appliances, including a refrigerator, range, wall oven, and dishwasher. Over the past nine years, we have had to repair the range and replace the refrigerator. The replacement refrigerator is now 29 months old and is already showing signs of failure, and the dishwasher has rusted and is deteriorating.
Our experience with customer service has also been disappointing. Representatives have been unhelpful and provided inconsistent information, including directing us to take certain steps and call back, only for a subsequent representative to give different guidance. Based on these experiences, we do not plan to purchase LG appliances in the future.
When I opened the packaging
When I opened the packaging, I noticed a dent on the bottom door of my fridge. As it's silver it shows up badly. When I approached LG they said I should have opened it and reported it earlier. I kept it in its box to avoid it getting damaged until the kitchen was ready in our new build house and it was over a month. If only I'd seen their reviews on here before I parted with €850!
I simply cannot believe this company
I simply cannot believe this company. They think they are own the world.
I purchased a LG AI TV last year and the Voice Recognition has never worked so I've never been able to use the AI.
So because it was only 10 months ago and I have my receipt and compliance sticker etc I chased it up with LG.
After having and being forced to spent a good 2 hours resetting it and going through all these 'might fix it' activities, it still wasn't working so the customer care person said that they guarantee they will have the technical department get back to me within 3 business days.
1 week later no call so I follow them up and the customer care person says she will get that department to call me as arranged.
Next thing I get this text with LG demanding a copy of the receipt and a picture of the compliance sticker - no problems did it straight away.
But no their own web upload system isn't working (but it is they just don't tell you). So tried at least 5 times to upload the documents only to be told to retry or call customer care.
Call customer care and here is where it gets greasy, on the last 2 calls all the operator wanted was my phone number, but this time (now I've provided evidence) the customer care person is not willing to proceed with the case unless I can tell her what my ADDRESS was 8 years ago when I engaged with LG 8 years ago. She reckoned that had been when my PROFILE had been created and unless I gave her the address including correct postcode she couldn't help me.
I CAN BARELY REMEMBER YESTERDAY LET ALONE 8 YEARS AGO.
I had to use google maps to look up where I was living and then try and work out the street address as I had forgotten it, this went on for 25 minutes. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT.
I said to the customer care person it doesn't matter where I live I have a receipt, the lg product and a copy of the lg compliance sticker so what does it matter to LG where I live???
Cut a long story short don't deal with LG they want your data (probably sell it), all their products have User Agreements that YOU HAVE TO OPT INTO if you want to actually use the product - yes you buy it then you have to opt into their user agreement selling your data otherwise the product doesn' work.
NEVER AGAIN LG NEVER AGAIN
Cheating on Cashback campaigns.
I recently purchased a product under Cashback campaign the 1st april, the campaign ended on 4th of april.
The shop send out the product on 7th of april,, so LG refused my cashback request. I explained that it was ordered on 1st april, but zero response.
I tried several times contacting them no answer, today i phoned them and the guy basicly said, that if the cash back email doesnt reply they cant do anything else.
So its basicly fraud.
"DONT EVER BUY ON LG.COM"
"DONT EVER BUY ON LG.COM" brought washer and dryer on march 17th expected to be delivered on 28th of march 2026. Didn't happen called them on 28th was told still on transit and expected delivery day of 31th march. Never received call for delivery again. Called them back same old answer still in transit. At this time I already gave up already I stopped calling them. I did file complain to NY ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE for retail malpractice. Now I am more worried about paying monthly bill for the product I never received.
Purchased an LG washer and dryer set
Purchased an LG washer and dryer set. At just 8 years old, the dryer drum cracked (a safety hazard — still unusable) and the washer's bracket/spring broke along with a plastic clip. Three structural failures across two machines.
Called LG — they wanted to charge a diagnostic fee to even look at it. Had to hire a third-party repair tech at my own expense: $480 total. The dryer drum still isn't fixed.
These appliances should last 10–15 years. LG wouldn't stand behind their products, so I've filed complaints with the BBB, Consumer Protection BC, and Health Canada. Heading to the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal for $3,480 if LG doesn't make this right.
Do not buy LG appliances expecting them to last.
TV turned on for less than 10 times
Purchased a TV in Nov 2024 for the guest room. The guest room is used less than 10 times a year. The TV cost £179 from Argos. The TV stopped working (won't turn on) in March 2026. I then contacted LG, hoping for a repair out of courtesy given that I could use the TV for less than 10 times. I was told the call out fee would be £200 and that no guarantee would be made.
I would give zero stars if possible
I would give zero stars if possible! I will not ever purchase a LG appliance and I absolutely will not recommend one to anybody. We purchased a brand new LG gas dryer in mid-January and it stopped heating on March 15th. I contacted the LG warranty department to try to get it looked at and they claimed it is not a LG problem and I needed to have the gas company check it. So I did and the gas supply is not the issue. I called the back and kept getting the run around. My husband got ahold of someone with LG through Facebook messenger and explained our issue and they agreed that we need a technician to come out. Over two weeks later, still no word from them, just that the are working to find a technician in our area. This is unacceptable. We have been without a working dryer for 20 days now. The customer service is ridiculous and the do not want to honor their warranty. At this point they should just refund my money so I can purchase a working dryer
Direct from LG? I Won’t Be Doing That Again...
I’ve owned several LG products and always rated them highly, which is why I chose to buy a washing machine directly from LG. Unfortunately, the service experience was far below what I expected from a major brand.
The machine was installed by LG’s delivery team and leaked immediately on first use. The installers themselves had to stop it mid‑cycle with the drum full of water. The original delivery took just three days from ordering, but despite reporting the fault straight away, it took 13 days to receive a replacement.
During that time I was given incorrect and sometimes unsafe advice, including being told more than once to disconnect a water‑filled machine myself. Escalation requests went nowhere, and communication was almost non‑existent. I had to chase repeatedly just to find out what was happening. For a direct purchase, the lack of coordination between LG teams was obvious, and the whole process felt disjointed and unnecessarily difficult.
The replacement machine works fine, but the way the situation was handled — the delays, the conflicting information, and the absence of meaningful updates — was extremely disappointing. When I tried to raise a complaint about the handling, customer service was slow and deflective, and it was difficult to get a clear or consistent response. This experience has made me think twice about buying directly from LG again.
I got a LG 86in tv and the screen has over…
I got a 86in tv and the screen has over 10 vertical dark lines the tv has warranty and the technician found the problem the technician is from ElectricalExpert represents LG service in Canada.
And the the final answer from LG is this screen is corrected for this size of tv and represents the real quality of this company and there nothing problem with this tv.
Very very sad with the quality of the LG tv and with the quantity of the LG Canada stuff very low skills to solve the problem.
I paid £175 for an LG repair service in…
I paid £175 for an LG repair service in early March and experienced what can only be described as a complete failure of service.
Timeline:
* Payment taken: 6 March
* Engineer attended: 12 March (after ~1 week delay)
* Issue: NOT resolved
Despite being told there would be a follow-up:
* no one contacted me
* I had to chase the engineer myself
* I was then told he was off sick with no confirmed return date
I contacted LG again and was repeatedly promised a call within 1–2 days. This never happened. There was no follow-up and no communication.
During this entire period, the appliance remained unusable.
After more than two weeks of delays and no resolution, I was forced to arrange and pay for an independent engineer, who fixed the issue promptly.
Additionally, during LG’s visit:
* my original lint filter (in good working condition) was removed
* it was replaced with a damaged filter
So not only was the repair unsuccessful, but the appliance was returned in worse condition.
LG’s response has been to refuse a full refund and insist on charging a call-out fee, despite:
* no repair being completed
* the issue remaining unresolved
* unacceptable delays
* damage caused during the visit
This falls significantly below the standard required under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (reasonable care, skill, and reasonable timeframe).
I have now escalated this matter via my bank.
This review is being left to ensure that LG management is aware of the level of service currently being delivered to customers.
Professional Misconduct and Warranty Fraud - LG Egypt
reporting a severe violation of LG’s Global Quality Standards by LG Egypt regarding Case #sozannasr29. My washer has a clear Material Failure (Gasket Degradation) within the warranty period, yet LG Egypt refused a physical inspection and demanded payment over the phone, claiming "misuse" without seeing the device. This is a direct violation of consumer rights and LG's global warranty policy. I demand an immediate technical investigation by LG Global HQ.
Horrible service and products
Bought LG appliances and electronics for our home because we thought they was good. Well they are NOT! The fridge went to crap within 4 years and we tried to get it covered thru warranty. Set up a service call and paid like $500! The so called verified contractor canceled the contract order LG demands we pay the $500 again to get the service. We are not…then the customer service team said they would have their higher team call me they have yet to call. Food ruined and now we have to buy another fridge smh customer service is everything and Lg fails highly on this. Should have went with GE
