Nicolas was v friendly & always prompt but seemed pretty disorganised when it came to sorting bags & buggies but worst feature was having to travel so far on the bus to courses. The last course was 2hours 40 each way from Budapest & nothing special when we got there. I saw there were 5 courses within an hour of Budapest city. Felt we were often rushed & could not enjoy a leisurely drink after the round.

Many thanks for your review. We apologize if you felt that you were rushed after your round of golf. Because you were on a river cruise, returning you to your ship in time was important to us, and due to tournaments closing the course in the morning at Bad Griesbach, we had a later start time than ideal, and needed to get you back on board in time for dinner and departure.
Your group of 8 at times changed playing partners and also because some courses were more difficult to walk, we always gave you the option of whether you wanted Carts or E trolleys. We apologize if that seemed disorganized to you, we were merely giving you options to make the days experience a better one.
The transfer time in Budapest to Zala Springs golf course was a long one, and while we did communicate that very clearly in the Itinerary (we even listed the transfer time to be 3 hours) that was sent to you on June 16th, we appreciate that seeing it on an itinerary and actually experiencing a long transfer can be upsetting. Unfortunately the traffic jam in Budapest that September evening did not help things either.
We normally do use the Pannonia Golf and Country club, which is a 45 minute drive from Budapest, but due to them hosting the Seniors Open, the course was closed to the public for the entire week. Within a 1 hour drive of Budapest are only 2 other 18 hole golf courses, but they do not qualify as an alternate venue for us in terms of quality and customer experience, and we will not compromise on those 2 issues for any of our clients. The other courses that you saw are a 9 hole courses.
Zala Springs resort, a Robert Trent Jones II designed venue and a member of the leading golf courses of the world qualified, and we discussed the venue with your agent.
Nevertheless we appreciate that you were disappointed with the travel time, and your feedback is important to us. We do and will consult with other venues to elevate their product so that we can use them as an alternate venue, and hope that in future guests will not be disappointed with excessive travel times.
I do hope that you were able to enjoy the golf on these fantastic venues in 5 countries and do hope to welcome you again in the future on another exclusive concierge golf cruise.

This was one of, if not the BEST golf trip I’ve ever taken! A river cruise down the Danube and 5 days of golf on great European golf courses from Prague to Budapest. I highly recommend this trip! Nicholas took great care of us!!!
