Liberty Mutual is the best insurance company I have dealt with concerning my autos and home insurance. Access is perfect and timely and communications are excellent. Making changes and/or additions is simple and accommodating to me as a senior citizen. Staff members and customer service are readily available and cooperative at all times.

Smooth onboarding process.

I am super sick of their advertisement! I block them, report them, and even block their page! nothing is working and I keep seeing their ads everywhere I cannot stop it. I personally have convinced 20+ people to go with progressive instead of liberty mutual because of their advertising.

I have been a customer of Safeco Insurance since 1998. Liberty Mutual bought Safeco. I had two small claims in 28 years (wind/roof shingle repair for patio coverage and a water leak from air conditioner drainage pipe) in 2023. After these two claims, they increased my rate by over 200%. I decided to cancel the policy which I did on May 14, 2026. I never received the two emails that they said were sent notifying me that I owed them $125.04 for the two weeks of coverage between the policy renewal date and the termination date. They then sent me to a credit collections service for the $125.04. I would have gladly paid the two weeks of coverage for the transition period if they had notified me! When I canceled the policy, the person was great, but there was no mention that I would owe them any more money. 28 years of loyalty to them resulted in sending me to collections?!

I'm being dropped for my landlord insurance after Liberty Mutual took over Safeco Insurance. No claims in 15 years!

This has to be the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Denying the claim with no factual evidence, dragging their feet, and once they accepted liability the amount they are willing to pay is ridiculous. It isnt even half what 5 contractors bid. Smh!!
