Their ready meals especially Swedish meatballs in gravy

Their ready meals and meat products are dreadfully poor quality. Today I purchased 2 packs of Swedish meatballs in gravy with mashed potatoes and peas. Even as I was heating it, it gave off an awful greasy cheap meat smell. One mouthful and I felt ill. The meat was the texture of the cheapest dog food imaginable. The taste - practically indescribably bad. The horrible, cheap greasy taste imbued the mashed potatoes and the gravy was vile. Both my partner and I put our meals straight into the bin. I had to brush my teeth twice to get rid of the nasty taste. I've had poor meat products from there before but nothing I've ever tasted in my life was as bad as this.

Mixed review regarding Lidl Plus and Stanningley Leeds store. Been forced to use a till with a staff member a Sarah T wearing a camera

Mixed review regarding Lidl Plus and Stanningley Leeds store. Been forced to use a till with a staff member a Sarah T wearing a camera

I wasn't impressed with Lidl Plus changing from the previous reward scheme. However there was Batts Ketchup on for 45 points instead of 90 points as I hadn't got any in I decided to get the reduced sugar Tomato Ketchup.

I've had coupons with discounts for item's that I do buy so got some different food in to try. With a good selection of items at Stanningley Leeds store. Went to a manual till. With a store assistant helping myself with the Lidl Plus app as the codes for items weren't showing. It's the first time I've used the coupon since my initial free item when it changed from the old system to the new system.

With a female on till number 2 wearing gloves with her light off but then turned on when I had moved to till number 1. With Sarah T wearing a camera talking down to the male in front of myself regarding a recepit "you want it" when a card recepit is mandorty the Lidl's Plus app doesn't always work for recepits. How are you? Is a personal nothing to do with her. With only three small trolleys available to use. It put me off after the help I received. I called customer service regarding feedback it's not I've submitted an email complaint.

Its the parking eye fines that you get

Its the parking eye fines that you get. You see a sign in the car park saying you have 90 mins to shop, then you shop and go home. Parking eye then send you an 'automated fine' for not putting your number plate on a screen in the store and putting your receipt bar code on when you leave. I feel this is an invasion of freedom to shop within the rules they set themselves and then send you a fine when you abide by the parking rules and have been there only 46 minutes. Shockingly bad in this day and age.

Not happy about stock

Not happy my mum went to reserve one of the ninja slushi machines for me today to be horrified with the notification stating it’s already sold out how can an item be sold out if it is supposed to be reserved between the 16/7/26-19/7/26 and picked up next week between the 23/7/26-27/7/26 SORT IT OUT this is a joke just like with the air conditioner only 3 came into my local Epsom store and someone bought all of them

I am writing to file a formal complaint…

I am writing to file a formal complaint about the extremely rude and illogical service I experienced at your Broadheath branch today (16th July) at 17:38.

When I went to use the self-checkout, a staff member there ordered me to go to the manned till in a highly demanding and impolite tone. This was completely unreasonable, as all the self-checkout machines were working perfectly, and there were many other customers using them at the exact same time.

There was absolutely no valid reason to single me out and order me away from a fully functioning service. As a regular customer, I expect to be treated with respect, not to be ordered around with such a hostile attitude. I hope you will look into this and ensure the staff at this branch receive proper customer service training.

Lidl grow bags are atrocious

Lidl grow bags are atrocious. Avoid. Total waste of money. Crops failed because of quality. So not only lost money spent on bags, but also the plants. Neighbours had the same issue. I won't be buying again.

Impossible to pay and leave.

Lidl in Newquay, Cornwall.

Nothing wrong with the shop or the products. Lidl just make it impossible to pay and leave.

No tills open. A few self serve tills open but a half hour wait……

I only wanted a few things so I dumped them out and went to Morrisons next door.

I won’t go back to Lidl.

Dirty baskets the dirtiest car park Cricklewood NW2

Hi there . I love Lidl food but like I told you guys last time your baskets are so dirty that I can’t shop like that , we had Covid and we all know cleaning is a very important thing to do , so we won’t catch any viruses . One of your staff told me today that you guys clean the baskets two times a year. OMG are you for real , that comes from your own staff . If I have to pick cleaning over food so be it, I like to shop in a clean environment and you guys don’t give that at all . The car park looks like a rubbish bin with lots of rubbish every
here I even saw few dirty condoms on the ground, that car park is never been cleaned . Sad but true. I’m hoping you guys will do something about it because it’s so bad.

Difficulty manoeuvring throug the store

Visited Lidl today and had to manoeuvre throw large trollers for shelf filling and loads of boxes all round the store from which merchandise had been put in shelves. This is not uncommon but today was by far the worst. Come on Lidl you are better than this. Employ sufficient staff.

Awful trip

Awful trip. Not a single person is ever on the tills these days. More automated tills that have one dude running ragged because they keep failing.
Leaving is like leaving a train station and having to put your ticket in the turnstile. Except if you haven't actually purchased something you then have to chase down a worker to let you leave. Felt like a prison rather than a store.
Staff getting canned, just for machines to give the rest of the staff even more workload and stress.
Receipts also just now state the amount of products you bought... so If I needed a refund on something and cant remember if I bought it on the trip where I bought 32 items, 6 items or 10 items do I have to keep every receipt to bring back? I am not saving every receipt like a little paper hoarding dragon. I just wont be back.

Lidl is really good on different brands…

Lidl is really good on different brands of food and being quite cheap. Has a great bakery and a good variety of veg and fruit. But does lack friendly staff. I was served today by a lady whom was literally throwing my shopping through the till and she completely ignored me talking to her colleagues instead, no hello or goodbye!! Are staff trained in customer service 🤔

Would lidl please stop replacing decent…

Would lidl please stop replacing decent products like coconut water with a product called coconut batista milk for coffee, it's full of fake stabilisers YUK.
I am incredibly sick and tired of Supermarkets in the UK replacing good products with vile toxic products full of additives and stabilisers.

Went shopping this morning in Lidl and…

Went shopping this morning in Lidl and there was no internet working in the building and I'd ran of credit. I'm on low income and couldn't access Lidl app to see my coupons, instead of saving money I had to pay more. Thank you Lidl will shop elsewhere in future as everytime I go in there's always an issue . Will start using other shops that have better reward schemes and internet.
