POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Purchased set of car seat covers which were quite cheap.Took them home and unboxed them realising they would simply not fit my car seats. In addition, the quality was shocking with the material tissue thin.Returnec them to the store but just couldn't find the receipt.Customer service refused to take them back.I offered to print off bank statement but they still refused.

What you hear of is not what you get

I only shop here at Wood Green Lidl because they are cheaper like Aldi whereas other larger stores are more expensive, but their product ranges are poor, i guess you get what you pay for. In particular their box of fruit offer for £2 which they have been doing for 'years'. Yesterday for the first time I wanted to see what they had in the box as my daughter showed me what she picked up at the Angel Edmonton store. I got to the store at 7.05am as early as possible to get the best, was shockingly disappointed, as the trolley didnt come out until 3/4 hour later and with no announcement, just a sneaky placement, while I waited around and in the end the fruit and veg produce was disappointing so I wont be doing this box of fruit again at Wood Green. Their aisles too are so narrow and they wheel their trolleys laden with cases to stack shelves with so fast that it won't be long before someone gets badly hurt

Greenock Lidl

Greenock Lidl. Takes ages for anyone to approve at the self serve check outs. Very short staffed. Considered leaving items at the counter and walking out numerous times. No way of alerting staff.

Date of Incident

Date of Incident : 4 August, 2026

Venue : Parr Bridge Lidl
Staff : The short man with glasses full with tattoos

The staff member (the shorter man with glasses) was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional towards customers. His attitude was intimidating and made me feel very uncomfortable throughout my visit.

What made the experience even worse was that seeing the same staff member immediately reminded me of a previous unpleasant encounter at this store. Instead of feeling welcomed as a customer, I felt anxious and uneasy. I decided to leave without shopping because I no longer felt comfortable staying in the store.

I am genuinely disappointed that Lidl would allow a member of staff to repeatedly treat customers in this manner. Regardless of personal appearance or style, every employee should behave respectfully and professionally. No customer should feel intimidated or unsafe while simply trying to shop.

After this experience, I have lost confidence in this store and do not intend to return unless this issue is taken seriously. I hope Lidl will investigate this matter and ensure that all customers are treated with the courtesy and respect they deserve.

Filthy

Would it hurt someone to give the self-checkout machines a wipe sometimes?
Yesterday, at their Union street branch, Plymouth, they were absolutely caked in filth, I did not want to put my food on them.
A basic hygeine standard for any food seller is to keep surfaces clean, it is a breach of regulations and a risk to the public health to leave them covered in unidentifiable muck.

Zero stars review regarding the call centre in Scotland with a London number. The staff lie with threatening behaviour to try to data harvest information instead of dealing with missing points.

Zero stars review regarding the call centre in Scotland with a London number. The staff lie with threatening behaviour to try to data harvest information instead of dealing with complaints about missing points.

I received 4 points instead of 6 points due to x5 promotion that was misleading. Dealt with Shannon and Gemma both put myself through to Logan that lied about been part of the management team he is just another customer service agent. Then there was Anita some sort of manager on loud speaker working from home with kick back on the call.

All we're trying to obtain my contact number that I'm legally allowed to remove from my account as that is not mandorty at all.

Then received a threatening email from a Steff regarding my behaviour when the staff mislead customers regarding the points.

This is unacceptable behaviour from Lidl especially when there has been a breach of data in the EU.

Especially as to get through to the call centre a customer has to show a number however this can be removed once through.

I received bullying from staff I had to call several times and sent emails then once the staff don't like the professional email's that I sent calling the staff out as lying I'm the issue.

⭐☆☆☆☆Serious Parking Problems Affecting Genuine Lidl Customers

⭐☆☆☆☆

I would like to share my experience to warn other customers and ask Lidl to take this matter seriously.

I have received seven Parking Charge Notices from this car park, even though I was a genuine Lidl customer on every occasion. I have kept all my shopping receipts and payment records, which clearly show that I was shopping in the store. In most cases, I was only in the store for 15 to 20 minutes, just long enough to do my shopping.

What is even more concerning is that, on one occasion, I recorded a video showing myself correctly entering my vehicle registration into the parking system. Despite having this evidence, I still received a Parking Charge Notice.

After speaking with people I know locally, I have already found four other people who have experienced exactly the same problem in this car park. In addition, two members of Lidl staff told us that many customers have complained about similar issues.

The most disappointing part is the lack of support from the store management. When we tried to speak to the store manager, we were simply told to contact Lidl or ParkingEye ourselves. No attempt was made to investigate the issue or to help customers who can clearly provide evidence that they complied with the parking requirements.

We are not trying to avoid our responsibilities. We simply want Lidl to investigate what is happening with the parking registration system and to support genuine customers who can prove that they shopped in the store and correctly registered their vehicles.

Our intention is not to complain for the sake of it. We would like Lidl to arrange a meeting, or appoint someone responsible, to speak with the customers who have been affected, review the evidence we have, and help find a fair solution. This no longer appears to be an isolated incident but a recurring problem affecting genuine Lidl customers.

If you have experienced a similar issue at this car park, I encourage you to share your experience. The more evidence there is, the easier it will be for Lidl to understand the scale of the problem and ensure that it is properly investigated and resolved.

To be fair, Lidl has generally...

To be fair, Lidl has generally been very good in my experience, but today's visit to the Dalkeith store was extremely disappointing.

I returned a bag of Italian Roast coffee because I genuinely believed it was of poor quality compared with previous bags I've purchased there. I was initially told by a member of staff that I would definitely receive a refund and was directed to the appropriate till but after waiting in the queue, the staff member serving me said I would not be getting a refund at all because, in their opinion, there was nothing wrong with it but what I don't understand is how that conclusion was reached. The coffee wasn't tested or examined in any way, yet I was simply told it wasn't of inferior quality and no refund would be given. The contradictory advice from staff made the whole trip a complete waste of my time, fuel and effort.

I was also disappointed to hear members of staff talking about other customers behind their backs while I was waiting and making fun of them.... it struck me as childish and unprofessional and did little to inspire confidence in the management of this store and made me wonder whether I'd be the next to be discussed openly amongst staff on the shop floor once I left the store.

Update, I did receive a small value voucher to cover the cost of the coffee but nothing else for the hassle I experienced / wasted time / wasted fuel etc...

Worst time of my career, without going into detail as websites have policy’s, this is not a place you would want to work or have your family working. Appalling behaviour from those above to co workers being stoned, aggressive, compulsive liars , I could go on, save your MH , the money is not worth it, that’s why they have to pay well, to get you in there but it’s hell unless your a favourite but that won’t last long only until they decide to prey on some other mug

Cowboy parking charges. Beware

Have used Lidl for 18 years for our main monthly shop.
Prices are cheap, as expected along side that customer service is pretty poor along with stock availability,
Got a 90 pounds car park charge recently as I allegedly didn’t enter my vehicle reg correctly.
Lidl wouldn’t help and left me to fight their cowboy parking company on my own.
I no longer shop at Lidl

@ALDI FOR THE WIN

I went to Wincanton Lidl today and the most shocking customer service i have ever witnessed. I am no Karen so for someone like me to even download TrustPilot speaks volumes. The guy at the checkout did not utter a single word to me, threw the shopping at me despite clearly seeing me struggle. Before i had even packed the shopping fully away he muttered “receipt” , is that a question or? I said “Oh no that’s okay thank you” still nothing from him and he just started scanning the next persons mixing it into mine. Absolutely shocking, @Aldi for the win !!!!!!!

Lidl Bingley

Lidl Bingley.
Did my weekly shopping today and was charged TWICE on self check out for the same items. The two amounts were debited to my bank account immediately. Was given explanation this overcharge would be credited back within 4 days. Have never experienced anything like this before from any supplier. Either Lidl is keeping my money or the bank for the next 4 days.

The customer service here is the worst I have experienced. Almost every member of staff comes across as rude, unfriendly, and unwilling to help. A simple smile, basic politeness, or respect for customers seems to be missing.

Shopping should not feel uncomfortable, but every visit to this store is disappointing because of the staff’s attitude. Customer service is about treating people with courtesy and making them feel welcome, and sadly this store completely fails at that.

I hope management takes these reviews seriously and provides proper customer service training because the staff’s behaviour is driving customers away.
