Its the parking eye fines that you get. You see a sign in the car park saying you have 90 mins to shop, then you shop and go home. Parking eye then send you an 'automated fine' for not putting your... See more

Lidl staff member
Lidl, Swalwell -Am not a regular customer but was totally blown away by the high standard of customer care shown by Danielle on the tills this evening that means I likely will be back in near future! Nothing was too much trouble for Danielle who served us professionally and in a friendly, personable manner. A real credit to your team!
Terrible Customer service
Very disappointed in Lidil with the experience I have received. We purchased an Iron in February I contacted the manufacturer who intern told me to contact Lidil , to be then told by Lidil to contact the manufacturer. Then to be told by the manufacturer to Contact Lidil again. I feel the emails are been written by AI . I was of the belief Lidil took customer care seriously. It’s been awful really.
Lidl
Lidl, salard , poor at best , had to throw away whole packet one day after purchase.
Very poor and over priced DO NOT BUY!!!!
Price of low prices
Went to Lidl Hemel Hempstead jarmans park . Asked if they had someone who deals with lost property , was told no we don’t have lost property I said so no one ever loses anything here , he then went on his headset for 10 seconds and asked someone who said no! Did not ask me when or my name . That’s the price of low prices no service only interested in selling good bye Lidl never again
Disappointing Experience This Time
I’ve always liked Lidl, but my last visit didn’t impress me. The produce looked fresh, but I found several items that were past their sell-by dates. Plus, the checkout line was pretty long, and only one register was open. I hope this isn’t a trend.
Diabolical service and attiutde
The service and attitude at shoreham by sea store is nothing short of diabolical . Store is dirty attitude is don't care and shelves are not stocked adding to that you cannot get out if your using a checkout because there is never one open.
Great jollyGrat
Caveat Emptor
My friend of 77, partially disabled, shops at Lidl Bishops Stortford on a Saturday
A usual purchase is the Saturday ‘Times’, more expensive on Saturday because of the multiple inserts, which occupy him for half the coming week.
In May 2026, we noticed no inserts until we were home, some distance from Lidl.
He wrote to the manager but received no reply.
Over the next several weeks, periodically, no inserts.
On Saturday 11th July, he was directed to the manager in-store by an assistant and asked why he had not bothered to respond to his letter and why the ‘Times’ was regularly without inserts.
The manager rudely told him he didn’t have to buy the ‘Times’.
When my friend protested that the manager was effectively stealing by not giving customers what they had paid for, the manager replied using foul language, accused my semi-disabled friend of being ‘aggressive’ and walked away.
To date, the inserts are a random addition to the ‘Times’ and emails to Lidl headquarters have produced little interest in either a remedy or an apology from the manager, sending instead a £15.00 voucher.
Use Lidl Runcorn weekly but I am not…
Use Lidl Runcorn weekly but I am not going to bother anymore , bought a box of South African easy peelers. They where soft , dry and Inedible. Bought tomatoes, all over ripe and the strawberries straight into the bin. The box of easy peelers had no date anywhere.
Where's all the stock?
Where's all the stock? No sultanas, diet or zero coke, almost no yogurts . Formula for HF multi seed cob which replaced low GI loaf is nothing like as tasty or nutty. Lidl seems to have lost the plot
All about middle of lidl
Tasty produce, excellent value and a fun middle isle.
NEW LIDL
I love the new Lidl in Salisbury where Smyths used to be its a lot bigger than the other one and I find there's more choice and I enjoy the self service machines also .It's a lovely supermarket and great prices ,I visit once a week or more now as the old Lidls always seems to have long queues and only one person on the till which is ridiculous maybe that Lidl will invent the scan and go machines some day .
The value differentiate just does not exist any more
Some of the meat and dairy products are good and at a reasonable price, the same is true for middle isle purchases, however, the majority of products are low quality but priced higher than the big 4 supermarkets.
Lidl used to be extremely competitive on price and quality and we took a hit by having to pay for or bring our own bags and pack at a packing shelf, but with prices and quality the way they are now, I don't see the actual value of doing a real shop there, where as at a normal supermarket my goods are not thrown at me as fast as possible, glared at for not reloading my trolley fast enough (In previous incidents actually told off!) and I can pack them at the till and I get decent quality.
I stopped shopping in Lidl some time…
I stopped shopping in Lidl some time ago due to bad experience and i should remember about this. Unfortunstely i forgot something when shopping in Tesco and went to Lidl in Tain/Scotland. I bought also sausage which was discounted and... to my surprised, when i looked at the receipt at home, I found I had been charged full price. I wonder how many people never check their receipts and they are charged full price for discounted products. NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN.
Parasol… chester
Went with my daughter to purchase a cantilever parasol on 23rd July when it was released none on display when I looked prior to going it said stock available when asked sales assistant didn't know any thing about it, very poor service
Huge Thanks to Staff at Lidl Ilford
Heartfelt thanks to D and S, staff at the Lidl Ilford Branch. (Unfortunately, I don't think I can name them fully here because of data protection.) They bent over backwards today to ensure that I got to use my coupons on a couple of items despite a technological glitch. We had to wait for the Lidl app to reset before my coupons could be redeemed, and they could not have been more patient and accommodating. Superb customer service demonstrated today, which I deeply value. Please let them know that I have left feedback for them. They were superstars and will know who they are - just say 'orange juice' and 'hot and spicy chicken wings'!
Lidl tronic bladeless tower fan faulty after 4 weeks
I brought a tronic bladeless tower fan from lidl in Lowestoft on 24th 06.2026 @ 09:39am - so a month old tomorrow, and it's a LOAD OF RUBBISH waste of time and money. Already on high power (setting 20) it makes a horrible loud noise. And I mean loud noise like from the motor or bearing inside. So my review is just to let people know. Yes i maybe unlucky and just be the only one that has a faulty tronic bladeless tower fan. Turn it down to around 15 or lower and the noise go away. The point is this, 4 weeks old (from brand new) and it's going noisy and faulty already. The noise only started today on the 23rd July 2026. The best comparison would be "Patch the elf" who made poor cheap & nasty toys, (from the Santa Claus - The movie) Which are like these fans, poor quality budget clones and break or go faulty. Mine is only noisy sounding like (hair clippers) when setting 15 or above is used. If you use the P or setting 20
As our regular store for shopping
As our regular store for shopping, I can only congratulate their customer care team for listening and proactively addressing any issues. Other companies could learn from this. No shopping experience is perfect but we find their produce great value and when things go wrong, they rectify it.
Terrible experience in Paar Bridge Lidi
Terrible experience in Paar Bridge Lidi
The staff member (the shorter man with glasses and numerous tattoos) was extremely rude and impolite towards customers. I was genuinely surprised that Lidl would employ someone who behaves in such an unprofessional manner.

Repeated alarm torture at nights!
I live directly behind Lidl Enfield Town, and my flat overlooks the rear service area.
For almost a week, the store alarm has been going off throughout the night without interruption. We are forced to listen to it until the morning, every single night. It has now reached the point where the lack of sleep is affecting my health, and I'm suffering from constant headaches.
We have reported this issue repeatedly. Shopping centre security openly told us they have no access to the Lidl store and therefore cannot stop the alarm. They also told us that the Lidl store manager had already been informed but had not treated the issue with any urgency.
What was even more frustrating was that when we called Lidl on Wednesday, we were told to call back on Friday if the problem still wasn't fixed. In other words, despite already knowing about the fault, Lidl was effectively accepting that residents would have to endure another two or three sleepless nights. That response is simply unacceptable.
If the alarm system is faulty, it should either be repaired immediately or switched off until it is fixed. Lidl's security cannot come at the expense of the health and wellbeing of the people living nearby.
A known problem has been left unresolved for almost a week despite repeated complaints. This level of irresponsibility is unacceptable, and if it continues, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter further with the police and the relevant local authorities.
