Lidl Upperton Road Leicester Incident…
Lidl Upperton Road Leicester Incident date: 18/10/25 My husband and I, both in our 70+ years of age popped into Lidl to get some snacks. We got some bakery products and proceeded to the self-service check out. Unfortunately, the computer system is slightly different from our regular Lidl store. Hence, we asked for staff assistance. Sadly, the staff who came over to us was very rude and insolent! In her haughty voice, she said, "all you need to do is pressed this and that. It's not all that difficult!" We tried to talk to her. She waived her hand and just stormed off! We asked for her name. She refused to give it to us She said she is busy! She sent for her manager instead. She is equally awful! She had a very hostile expression on her face as if she is ready to attack! Nevertheless, we tried to explain the situation to the manager. She just shrugged her shoulder. Her behaviour clearly signalled she couldn't care less. Oh, what a rude and arrogant person she is! We asked for their names and at first, she refused and when we told her that we will write a complaint about their behaviour. She then told us that her name is Sherry and the shop assistant's name is Carmen. She curled her lips and walked away.
My husband and I felt that it is important to raise our concern on their manner because these two unhelpful and very badly behaved staff of Lidl do not represent the many, many good and hardworking employees of other Lidl stores. These two hostile employees will require personal development training in how to talk to customers and all other requirement in customer care skills to help them to stop bringing further disgrace to the Lidl store, Upperton Road, Leicester.
Honey & Oat Loaf missing
This review rates to the sadly departed Honey & Oat fresh baked loaf which was discontinued a few months ago, reputedly because of recipe problems &/or insufficiently cooked interior crumb. Whatever the reason Lidl please bring it back it was your best loaf by far!!!

Hi........here we go again....
Hi.
LIDL Beverley is EXCELLENT.
The only Supermarkets who open checkouts to properly accommodate customers. The staff are REALLY helpful and the checkout staff always efficient and pleasant .
Good to see checkouts for our convenience....UNLIKE ASDA (aaaarrgghhh ) who are getting rid of theirs.
Today the manager was "mucking" in and still looked
calm and collected even though the store was really busy.
You can criticise all supermarkets for their ranges, and yes, if you cant be bothered to inform staff if anything looks dodgy, then its your own problem if you find something thats "gone off" when you get home.
Take responsibility yourself and get a grip.
WELL DONE LIDL, YOURE SAVING US MONEY.
AND AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT....YOU SHOULD ALWAYS REVIEW POSITIVE POINTS ABOUT EXPERIENCES AS WELL AS COMPLAINTS.....ITS ONLY FAIR
CHRIS xx

I went in to their store thinking I was going to save money, half the item's in my basket scanned at a higher price than was on the shelf, the food is poor quality and over priced!!! Total waste of time, I think it must be Aldi where you save money, lidl is an over priced dump, with very, very poor quality food. Their brands are as expensive as top quality brand's - zero stars for you lot !!!!

At approximately 4pm today 14sept jI…
At approximately 4pm today 14sept I entered your shop in bromborough Wirral and put a large plant(16.99) into a pulling basket.I continued round the shop with my friend who is disabled (I take her shopping regularly) and did some more shopping. When we reached the pay desk I politely asked if I could use the basket to take my plant to the car in the car park as it was quite heavy and said I would bring it straight back but you till assistant rudely said it was not allowed under any circumstances as their customers would steal anything, I think she was referring to the basket. As there was a queue of your customers behind me I think you need to know this. I also had to help my disabled friend to the car, load her shopping etc. I would like to continue shopping at yor store but feel you need to pay some attention to this and consider training your staff to have some manners and consideration. Thankyou for your reply.I respect the fact that your employee was following instructions but but was not happy about the way I was spoken to and to be shouted at across the shop. Unfortunately manners are a thing of the past .
