What happened to the best fridge/freezers

Dear Liebherr, I would like you to use the useless and totally impractical fridge/freezer we have recently bought. We have always bought Liebherr but never again until you go back to quality. First, the door is not ergonomically designed. A right handed person does not reach and put their hand backwards to open a door! The top seal of the freezer gathers far more crumbs than the old one as there is no protective shelf anymore. The absence of a bottom bottle holder is a huge mistake and you have made the top bottle holders unuseable as they awkward to access and have no depth. Then there is the flimsy divider in the door which is already bending and things fall behind it. The fridge has a lump at the top back which gets in the way and a similar one on the ceiling which also gets in the way. The appliance seems to have gained depth instead of width and now I have to scramble for things at the back and I am forever rearranging everything to fit. One vegetable drawer instead of two means that the drawer is heavy and things can not be separated. I don't want my fruit with my potatoes! The drawer front is flimsy and is going to break really easily. There are not enough glass shelf supports so I can not adjust things how I want. I would like a smaller top section just for bottles but this is not possible. There is no display of temperature on the outside. The flashing lights and noise when you are having to spend excessive time rummaging in the appliance (owing to your ergonomically poor design) are annoying. Nothing seems to fit in the freezer drawers anymore - again because you have hardly any depth. To put a big hole at the back of a freezer drawer when you have to tilt it to get it out or pull it forward (what a ridiculous idea) means that all the food items at the top fall out of the back every time this is attempted. And there is a gap at the back of the glass shelves which means that thin items disappear down it - are you really this mean so as not to supply a complete shelf?! The bottom drawer also has a big lump and a slanting shelf at the back - this is not useable space. I take issue with you calculations of storage as no matter how I tried, when the new one arrived, I could not get all my food into it, which I had just taken out of the old one - supposedly the same size. Then we come to the fact that it is noisier and every time the motor starts I think there is traffic outside on the road. Everything is much wetter and nothing is keeping the same as the old appliance - the food is going mouldy. And there we have it, all done as a cost saving exercise I am sure, when you are supposed to be a premium brand - I am sure I will come back to post some more failings but having taken the trouble to give all this feedback I would like a reply. I could not find the page to report a product on your website!

I bought a pricey fridge freezer in 2016 and I was told by EL CORTE INGLES they were the best on the market. Now today 29/9/23 it has been inspected by the official technician, his report is “ rusted and broken rubber seals” and “ it could stop cooling at anytime.
So much for German technology and the best fridges!
Totally dissatisfied other more economical fridge freezers have lasted a lot longer.
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS BRAND.
One star because it isn’t possible to give you 0.

Huge mistake buying a £950 Liebherr fridge freezr

Bought a £950 fridge freezer on January 12, 2023 (cnd5724).
The first two that were delivered in December weren't accepted as they were too badly damaged, covered in dents & physical damage.
3rd fridge freezer lasted 8 months before failing - engineer came to repair after 11days - had to replace main circuit board and the digital display.
Very disappointed with the poor reliability - glad to have purchased with visa credit card, as at least that gives some peace of mind

Mould and Fridge drawer freezing the food I put in it and ice forms on the base of the fridge

There are 2 significant problems with the fridge freezer. 1. Anything I put at the base of the fridge drawer freezes (in the fridge compartment); there is always a layer of thin ice on the bottom of the fridge. It means I have to put pasta as the base layer in the drawer and then vegetables on top otherwise the veg freezes. 2. Mould continually forms all around the seals, seals of the fridge door and in the grooves of freezer’s seals. In addition there is always slimy gunk in the grooves of freezer’s seals. Fridge-Freezer has been giving these problems since purchased.

Don't buy Liebherr

We bought a $15,000 freezer/fridge double unit from Liebherr. Please don't make the same mistake we did. Buy another brand. Customer service is almost non existent. It took them seven months to replace a door under warranty. Four drawers have broken due to cheap shoddy parts. Do not buy Liebherr.

WE bought a new fridge May 2021

WE bought a new fridge May 2021. Exactly 2 years and 6 days it stopped working. i phoned the company who told me to reboot it which i did several times to no affect. finally they agreed to send a technician who finally got it working only for it to now breakdown again. i am now told that i have to pay for the technician to come again £85. the fridge it replaced worked for 25 years. What is going on when an appliance only works for 2 years, very suspicious that this happens only 6 days out of warranty. will never buy from this company again. I wish I had read the reviews before i actually purchased it so be warned.

The worst mistake of my life was when I purchased this fridge. I have used products from many brands before, but this has turned out to be my biggest mistake. Their service is extremely poor. If you face any issues, you have to wait for more than a week. During that week, you have to send them an email because their phone number is always switched off. Even if they do come to solve your problem, they send third-party technicians to fix the fridge. So, be careful before deciding to buy this fridge. It hasn't even been 2 years, and I'm already facing issues like gas leakage and improper cooling.

I bought a leiburr fridge freezer in 2017 and it is not working the fridge is warm and is not cooling !! I was told to turn it off for 24 hours then start it up again it was working for a few weeks but now it has stopped working again I don’t know what to do !!!

Spent $16K on integrated fridge/freezer for my new apartment. Of course the freezer doesn’t work and Liebherr doesn’t want to know about it and cast you off to after sales service provider who doesn’t seem to interested to find anyone to come out and fix my fridge. Save your money and buy a fridge from a reputable manufacturer.

I WENT THROUGH THE COMPLAINTS FILED AND MINE IS NO DIFFERENT. ICE CLOGS THE COOLING COILS AND THE DEFROST DOESN'T WORK AFTER 6 MONTHS OF PURCHASE, TWICE I PAID THE SERVICE CHARGES, THEY COME, POUR HOT WATER AND SAY IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN, BUT SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN. I THINK THEY HAVE DELIBERATELY SUPPLIED SUBSTANDARD FRIDGES TO INDIA.
NOW THEY WANT ME TO PAY ANOTHER 5000 RUPEES TO SET IT RIGHT, BUT THEIR TECHNICIAN GAVE QUOTE OF UNDER RS.2000. SO I THINK THEY ARE FLEECING THE INDIAN PUBLIC.
SECONDLY, IF THE SAME COMPLAINTS ARE REPEATING RIGHT FROM WARRANTY PERIOD, WHY SHOULD WE ALL PAY?
AND WHO WILL PAY FOR ALL THE FOOD THAT GETS SPOILED BECAUSE FRIDGE IS NOT WORKING?
CAN THE COMPANY GIVE ANY JUSTIFICATION FOR THAT?

Dishonest and unreliable company that will not take responsibility for their own product defects.

Dishonest and unreliable company.
Do not buy!
I bought an expensive Liebherr wine fridge. The package it came in was not damaged when it arrived and the unit itself appeared to be in perfect condition from the outside. There was however a large white factory tape around the unit holding the door closed that we did not think of removing until the kitchen installer was ready to install the panel and integrate the unit to our new kitchen.
When we finally removed the factory tape, it was actually hiding cracks and defects inside the unit that could only be visible once you opened the door.
I called liebherr who refuses to take responsibility, makes up lies about the fact that the unit was damaged during transportation (not consistent with the damages inside the unit) keeps telling me to go back to the dealer who tells me to go back to liebherr who tells me… crap! It is their product / their dealer but they just do not care. This unit was most certainly damaged after inspection at the manufacturing facility before it even left the factory, This is such a shameful brand, claiming to be a luxury brand but acts just like a thief.

Terrible product, even worse customer service

We bought an apartment that came with a Liebherr fridge installed. We have had the fridge for under 1 year, it's been completely non-functional for the last month with no end in sight. They won't replace the unit because they must attempt a repair first, which is going to take six weeks. Meanwhile we are without a fridge for months and they cannot be bothered to call us back. Terrible service, terrible product - do not buy! We would have had this fixed weeks ago if we had a $2500 fridge from Home Depot

Very expensive product with a very poor experience.

30 days since I received my two new Liebherr products (freezer and Fridge). Two tech have been out and neither problem has been solved. Ice Maker issues, and Freezer won't cool past 37 degrees Fahrenheit. I wished I bought another brand. - Update Oct 11, 2022, The tech came out and we had an installation issue. It is being fixed and the equipment is again functional. - Will post again when the problem is completely resolved.
