Recognizing Glessie's professionalism!

My father donated blood his whole life to the Red Cross when I turned 16 I also started to donate. I reached 160+ donations before I quit thinking I had enough. I have always hated needles so today when I was required to give blood for my medical I was markedly impressed by the individual who drew it. I swear this was the first or second time in my life that I never felt the needle go in. "Glessie" without question will be my go to request for any and all further blood work. Respect earned! No issues with the clinic at 5 Fairview Drive. As a walk in , no appointment I arrived 30 minutes prior to opening, was 10th in line, they opened on time and within 40 minutes I was done! So no complaints whatsoever.

DO NOT USE THEIR ONLINE SHOP FOR TESTS

I requested a TB test through their online shop. Understand that this was not a referral by a family physician. The website cites easy and quick results. I needed this for a job that I was applying for. I paid $132.00 and never received the results. The opportunity was lost as the employer needed to know I was TB-free. I've contacted their customer service and IT department three times now and the idiots can't seem to get into their heads that a physician did not refer the test. The requisition was signed by some random on their end. Again I bought and paid for the test online...family physician not involved. There is def a communication error on their part. Suffice to say...they are not fluent in either official language. I will avoid LifeLabs at all costs. Waste of time and money.

Worst Life Labs appointment EVER!!!

I had a pre-booked appointment at the Bathurst/Sheppard site in North York. The technician who was carrying out my EKG and Blood draw, totally lacked any bedside manner or people skills. She was rude, rough and impatient and her attitude conveyed to me, she no more wanted to be there than I did. Terrible experience. I will never go back to this site, even if it means travelling to another site farther away from my residence.

Cobourg Life Labs - Exceptional

Great service even though I was late for my appointment. I was greeted with a smile, kindness and respect. The technician Dean was the right person for anyone nervous about needles. His humor and compassion was exceptional and professional.
All round excellent experience

I was in your Chatham location today…

I was in your Chatham location today and I’m sorry the walk waiting time doesn’t mean anything I had to get a ekg and I literally watch all the staff pick there blood work by not by order of walk in time but by choice I watched them put my doctors request form at the back of all the others they were very quick with the blood work patients and that’s why I couldn’t understand why I was six people in front of me and people were be called ahead of me that came in after me A young girl that finally help me was very nice I told her I very much appreciated that she took me and I knew that they didn’t want to do a ekg there and I thanked her

Bloodwork Home Visit

I booked a home visit for my mother. An electrolyte panel was ordered by her cardiologist. I paid the $85 for the home visit which was cancelled by Life Labs because a panel was ordered. I have been fighting since Dec 30th to get my money back. They do not answer calls or emails.

on time and capable staff although I…

on time and capable staff although I witnessed someone with an appt sent away because it didn't show up in LL system. The client had a confirmed appt on his phone. I felt they should have fit him in. staff recognized it was the system's fault not the client but still sent him away. I would't have left so easily if it had happened to me.

I made an appointment several weeks…

I made an appointment several weeks ago. We arrived 20 minutes before the scheduled time. We have been waiting for 1 hour and 40 minutes. I am very dissatisfied with this service. What is the point of making an appointment if the wait is so long?

Website is a disaster

Website is a disaster. Don’t even bother with the mobile version, waste of time. If you actually get through to book an appointment time , which is a miracle, it won’t accept your password. Then you get the option to reset your password and it locks your account. Whoever is in charge of the IT department needs to get fired

About the worst experience on could…

About the worst experience one could have. The reception desk was rude, unpleasant and entirely unhelpful.

Two days before going to the lab I was asked to submit a referral online, which I did, and was provided with a corresponding confirmation number and scheduled time.

The receptionist insisted that I did not and had no receipts of my email. I asked to show her my confirmation as well as digital copies of my referral letter.

She refused to look, saying again that she had no record of my email or appt

Having asked again, she told me to wait for an unscheduled appointment, which could have taken more than 4 hours she noted

I found another local lab, which thankfully only asked to see the referral and were able to conduct blood work test within 29 minutes.

Lifelabs is in the wrong business. I highly recommend finding another close by lab in Ajax

A friendly and present technician makes my day

There were a lot of people today but since I made an appointment in advance, I just waited for 5 mins which is understandable. The technician who took my blood test today was very present and friendly, and he explained things well and clear. Lifelabs is better than a lot of other clinics from my experience.

Lifelabs Little Lake staff at the front…

Lifelabs Little Lake staff (some) at the front desk are rude and have poor customer service skills. They don't greet you, other staff interrupt when speaking to someone else and they don't make any effort to accommodate patients that need quick service like children or babies. The rudeness is constant, not just one time.

Terrible service

For my appointment I had to still wait over an hour before getting in.
For a drop off of a sample (urine for UTI, standing order) I was told I had to wait in the walk-in line (about 20 people). I did for a while but needed to use the washroom and had to leave. The line had not moved at all. If I had a blue form I could have left it at the desk. Terrible service.

Lifelabs in Langford on Goldstream is…

Lifelabs in Langford on Goldstream is awful. Some woman tried five times to shove in front of me and I had asked her kindly and quietly to not push in front. I finally said, stop, you cant push in front. And the front staff yelled at me so I left. what a waste of time. The staff should be fired- They should have told her not to barge in front rather than get angry and lose their temper at me- the one who was kind and not rude. How horrible their customer service is. I would never allow them to do any medical work on me. They are sick.

Don't make patient appointments!!

I just went to what I thought was to be an appointment at Life labs after shuffling past 30 people in the hall way walking into the office to see another 18 people surrounding the person from Life labs accepting patients I saw my name and 1 other on the appointment board that was all, unable to get to the person to let them know I was there I left I will never return. What is the purpose of making an appointment if you cant get to the person at the desk from all the walk in patients!!
Solution DONT make appointments!! just let people stroll in and wait. What a joke for a professional facility!
