This website is unnecessarily…

This website is unnecessarily difficult, very poorly designed and ultimately not user friendly. A total redesign is in order, unless the endgame is to create the most frustrating experience in the entire health care system. In that case - 5 stars.

Technician need training in people…

Fairview Mall Toronto location. Technician needs training in people skills. I was totally humiliated by Alex the ECG technician. I have had many ECG's with my bra on. I explained to Alex that I have had breast surgery and I did not want to expose my breasts. Her behavior became aggressive and disrespectful towards me. I was totally humiliated and shamed. As a 76 year old female I felt belittled. Alex lacks compassion and empathy. She needs training in people skills. She has a very poor attitude. I had a bad experience and feel sad and disappointed in LL.

I’m extremely disappointed with my…

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at LifeLabs. I booked an 8:00 a.m. appointment to ensure I’d be seen in time for another commitment, but I was kept waiting for 20 minutes. When I asked about the delay, I was told that walk-ins are seen before scheduled appointments—this makes no sense and defeats the entire purpose of booking ahead.

To make matters worse, the facility was in poor condition. The floors were dirty, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. Most concerning was the fact that one of the bathroom stalls had no door, which is completely unacceptable in a healthcare setting.

I expected a professional and clean environment with respect for patients' time. Sadly, this location fell far short. I won’t be returning, and I hope LifeLabs takes this feedback seriously to improve both their scheduling and facility standards.

Terrible experience, foul odor

I was at the Georgetown location and had a very unpleasant experience. I was greeted by a "drill sergeant" who spoke so loud and was incredibly abrasive. She spoke so loud everyone could hear others' info in the waiting room. There was such a foul smell in the office, it was nauseting. No toilet paper in the bathroom, even though it was pointed out to a staff member, I had to go find someone in the back office to ask for it. Defenitely not the kind of experience I have had at that location in the past. Hoping they'll get their act together as this is very disapointing.

Can only put one star what a shame

Can only put one star what a shame. Staff seemed friendly but distracted. They will send you a random bill for every little thing and when you try to call them about it they will ignore you or just strait up hangup on you. Find another lab if you need work, this company need to go bankrupt and shut down.

Lifelabs is the worst of the worse.

Lifelabs is the worst of the worse.
It’s insane signing online. The worst experience. It does not deserve any star. It’s below level, not user friendly at all.
Most of us who use lifelab services are usually seniors and you have to face so much hardship to log on just for a lab test, as most of them may not be tech savvy. One error and it locks you out. Life labs should offer alternatives to online booking by calling or any other option.

Terrible Service at LifeLabs on Major Mackenzie

The service at this LifeLabs location is absolutely unacceptable. Even with an appointment, the wait times are ridiculously long. There were only two nurses available for blood draws, which made the entire process painfully slow. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and there was no sense of urgency or proper management to handle the flow of patients efficiently.

What’s the point of booking an appointment if you still have to wait forever? The lack of staff and poor organization make this location one of the worst experiences I’ve had with medical services. If you value your time, I’d strongly recommend finding another LifeLabs location or a different lab altogether!

Terrible customer service @ Life Labs…

Terrible customer service @ Life Labs in BC
I contacted Life Labs to get a FST Enhanced Test ( Food Sensitivity) . I called LL , after 45 min on hold, I was told no I didn’t have to pay for the test. When I arrived @ LL to get blood test I was told I needed to pay $ 379 for the test , which I reluctantly paid . When I asked the technician , she told me I should get my results on My Compass ehealth within a few days. I checked ehealth daily as I had an appointment booked with my naturopath for March 31 and had to cancel 48 hrs before . On the 28th I received a message on ehealth saying “ Results would be sent under separate cover”. No one@ LL , including an employee of 30 years, knew what that meant . I contacted my naturopath and GP’s office but neither had received the results . I actually visited my dr’s office in person on the 29th but still no results . On the 30th I emailed Life Labs but no one bothered to reply . All phone numbers circled back to LL as the lab, Rocky Mountain Analytical is contracted out to LL . No luck on the 31st either except LL said results were sent March 28. . Finally after contacting my naturopath’s office, they had received the results and sent me copy. As far as I know my GP has not received results .Apparently results go snail mail to my GP. LL seems very disorganized and needs some serious professional development to inform their employees what their policies and procedures are. I was told a naturopath with an account with Rocky Mountain Analytical is covered under MSP but not a GP . How does that work when Canada has public heaIth care . I would not recommend Life Labs, however, they seem to have a monopoly in BC for blood work , urine tests etc

Will never go back to that location again

Room was gross, Tec couldn't find tape measure, kept searching in baskets & some old cardboard boxes, bunch of BP cuffs tossed in unfolded & rubber leads knotted together in a maze, cuff was dangerously tight & my hand & fingertips turned blue & forearm turned blotchy to solid red, veins bulging, extremely painful, I insisted it be taken off, had to constantly consult procedure manual on the wall, wasn't sure how to hook BP monitor recorder to computer.

Senior Citizen

I am a senior citizen and I tried logging in to see my results. The information I put was correct but I got a message that said incorrect. I tried a couple more times and I was locked out. I called Lifelabs and also contacted the My Care Compass department and I'm still waiting for an email. It is stressful and frustrating.

Unexpected awesome visit to LifeLabs

Yesterday I went to the LifeLabs on Commercial St. in Milton, Ontario.
I was blessed to have Amina tend to me for my bloodwork. Wow, what an experience - she is a very kind and truly genuine person with a heart of servitude. Very professional and conscientious with a warm and uplifting personality. Never have I had bloodwork be a joyful experience!

Lifelabs does not sanitize between patients

This is a medical lab, yet they do not sanitize blood testing stations or tourniquets between patients despite posted signs. The phlebotomist admitted they only did so during COVID19. For a facility handling blood, this is very concerning.

The staff in tsawwassen are very good and pleasant. The problem is they are being overbooked. How can they be expected to do three separate people and all their tests in 10 minutes with so little staff. Then due to strike you are notified notified in time to make another appt. Test was to be done two weeks after changing medication but next appt would not be for another two weeks making test two weeks late. Also very hard to book appt on line we keep getting kicked out before we can book an appt. Not on site staff problem system is definitely broken and head office does nothing to help.

My 80 year old mother went in for a blood test. She had a 12:45pm appointment. We arrived at 12:30pm. Waited over an hour before she could get in, after we noticed they skipped calling her. Once she finished the blood test, she forgot her cane. Within 5 minutes we went back to retrieve the cane, the receptionist would not allow us in. She was also very arrogant and rude.

Impressed with Orangeville Life Lab facility

I was a walk-in yesterday at the Orangeville, Ontario lab at 2 pm. This lab is very, very busy but I found them well organized, kind and professional. The gentleman before me had the wrong lab requisition and the receptionist kindly called his doctor to have the correct one faxed. The tech I had was friendly, professional and really great at venipunctures. The office was clean and well ordered. My overall time spent was about 40 minutes but considering how busy they were, I thought this was acceptable. My doc received my results overnight.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience at Life labs (March 8, 2025). I had an early appointment at 3850 Finch Ave East. I arrived early at 7:30 am. There were about 15 people ahead of me. By 8am, about 30 people were lined up in front of the lab. At 8:05 am, an employee announced that the lab would not open that day, and that we could go to the location at 4190 Finch Ave East. There was no explanation given to us about why the lab would not open that day. At 4190 Finch Ave., the person at the desk made it very clear that our appointments made for that day would not be honoured. She also said that Life labs should have contacted all people with appointments as to the cancellation for March 8, 2025. That did not happen.
I was sent an email the day prior (March 7, 2025) as a reminder of the March 8, 2025 appointment. There was no email sent either March 7, 8, 9, or 10 2025 to inform about the fact that the lab would not open on March 7, as scheduled, nor any explanation nor any apology. The lack of advance notice and failure to offer an explanation does not honour or respect the provider/patient relationship and is unprofessional. It was an awful situation for the elderly people who were in line and sent away.
Life Labs demonstrated a lack of sensitivity and care to their patients by disrespecting their patients' time and personal resources to show up to an appointment only to have it canceled with no notice, offer no explanation, and direct them to a location that would not honour their appointment.
