It is just me, so it is just me who is arrogant. Just a tiny shop in Cornwall.
We see you bought the Birkenstocks, we had on a special sale.
I spent time creating our menu detailing everything for these Sandals, so everyone can study and read in advance all the info, including the offer which stated they were non-returnable, as the packaging box gets beaten up in transit
We assume you did not read the menu about what you were buying.
We assume you bought the Birkies, not knowing anything about them.
We sold 35 pairs in our sale. 97% of our customers were happy. Several of them gave us 5/5 ratings on here, for exactly the same service and product you got.
3% complained Kkaki Green was unexpectedly Khaki Green, and wanted to return them, having not read the menu we created for them to read, detailing everything.
Imagine giving a restaurant 1/5 for a dish, having not read the menu about the dish, what it contained, etc. Imagine calling the chef arrogant, when they refer you to the menu...that's what you have just done...

Birkenstocks which do not travel well and
A very small number of discontinued end of line stock, where we make it "clearance".
We see you bought the lovely Fjallraven Fleece at almost half price, which was indeed discontinued and marked as clearance.

I received my plastic sandles
I received my plastic sandles , ordered by my daughter 200 miles away for her 88 years old dad. I didn’t know that they were a bargain at £45for a piece of plastic. I just queried why I couldn’t send them back, hastened to say I didn’t want to send them back, As you say that you get a lot of returns from “time wasters” the boxes are too flimsy and can’t be used again, also the product is so delicate that it can be damaged trying them on.(your words not mine) I am not surprised you are getting returns. You need to have a serious marketing strategy to improve the quality of your boxes and why such and how an expensive plastic item is so easily damaged again your words not mine.Perhaps those time wasters may be future buyers of your products.Being. National Sales Manager for many years I offer these suggestions free of charge . I am sorry I can’t change my review the stellar delivery was way behind Amazon Prime which is next day really stellar

The British love reading 1 out 5 star reviews, they find them really entertaining. 10 x the amount of people read a 1 star review, than read a 5 star review, so this exchange could become very popular.

We almost always get 5/5, but we made a mistake recently by offering Birkenstocks really cheaply, and cheap Birkenstocks for some mad reason brings out lots of crazy people.
As far as we can tell you were bought a birthday gift, and want to keep this gift. However, for some reason wanted to ask a question about returns, even though you did not want to do a return? In the act of asking about something that you did not need, you have given us a 1 out of 5 public rating. Was this your intention?
We replied with our situation on Birkenstocks.
To emphasis our clear, transparent, honest upfront offer, we tell our customers NOT to buy Birkenstocks from us if they do not know what they are buying, namely they do not know their size, and/or do not know what colour they are buying.
Despite this, we have been inundated with people buying from us who have done just that. i.e. bought Birkenstocks that they know nothing about, did not read about, are the wrong size and/or the wrong colour.
We got all these crazy Birkenstock people, because we offered the best price...a big lesson learned! Keep prices high on Birkies!!

As stated in another review on Birkenstocks, we seem to attract a high number of time wasters.
We are obviously far from a scam company, and your statement is libellous. We have an excellent rating on here from 100s of customers.
We have over 2000 products across 25 brands, that are all returnable and get refunds as requested. However, Birkenstocks are none returnable. We tell you this in advance in big bold letters. We state DO NOT buy from us, unless you intend keeping them, know your size and like the colour, but it seems you did not read this.
We are always extremely honest, clear and transparent and tell customers what we are going to do, sell at very competitive prices, subsidise the delivery and deliver really quickly.
We sent you exactly what you asked for, at a really good price, and got them to you very quickly...very odd that we get a 1 out of 5 for such a stellar offering!
With Birkenstocks, and just Birkenstocks, we tell all our customers upfront and before they buy, that they are none returnable. There are many reasons why we make them none returnable, which we have listed below.
- Birkenstocks are easily damaged and do not travel well. Even after a short period of trying on, they become marked, and effectively second hand.
- In addition, the shoe box itself is flimsy and not designed for postage, and often gets damaged enroute. So, by the time they get back to us the shoes are often marked and the box is damaged, making it impossible for us to re-sell them.
- For reasons we cannot identify, Birkenstocks seem to attract a high number of time wasters, who have no intention of keeping the sandal. They order them, and then immediately send them back having marked them, inventing an ever growing list of of excuses, eg the khaki green was too khaki...!!!
- Because of the high likelihood that we will receive back high numbers of sandals that are not re-sellable, we make them none returnable, and we tell everyone in advance this is the case. The customer then decides of their own free will, what to do next. You chose to go ahead with the purchase because we were the cheapest on the market

Great sweater
I bought my wife one of these windproof sweaters earlier in the year. She loved it so much. So I had to buy a different colour. Lifesbetteroutdoors offered the best price, quick delivery and as I had to contact customer services over naming convention excellent customer services. Quality all round.
