Same experience as many others!

Same experience as many others!
Ordered stuff from them. They only send me half of the items. Called and emailed them many times - they promised they would send me the rest but never delivered.

Con artist

We purchased some lights that never arrived. Apparently out of stock but we were never told. Promised a refund that never came. After complaining we were told World Pay had stopped them refunding us and we'd have to contact our credit card company. Thankfully only lost £20 but learnt big lesson!!

Poor

We purchased some fans from lightupuk in August 2016 and when these did not arrive a complaint was made and they promised a refund.

We have never received a refund, or the goods. No phone number, the website is down, director leaving the company, many CCJs, not looking hopeful. Next step credit card company

Thanks!

I did get an email from James to say he would look in to it but nothing since.

Thieves, scoundrels, crooks...

Same story as everyone else since mid 2016. I ordered some lights from these jokers in July. Website showed no indication that goods were out of stock but I never received so much as a shipping email; let alone the goods. Multiple emails requesting a refund were answered "we're processing it". Refund never came. I too thought I was protected by my credit card provider but with VISA they have to process your claim within 120 days. It's now been nearly 200 days before I got round to sending them all the evidence so they won't help me. Scumbags walk away with my £130.

Fraudsters

As per the below reviews, avoid this company at all costs. I understand the website is not working at the moment, if it does resume then avoid.

I purchased from this site back in the summer and did not receive my goods (security light). I requested an immediate refund which was verbally promised. January 2017 and still nothing. Thankfully I am insured, via my credit card provider, against internet fraud.

For interest the full details of the directors (two) are available from Companies House. The profile of one director can be found on Linkedin.

Save yourself the trouble and order from elsewhere. Nothing but fraudsters and crooks.

Total con merchants

Took an order for just over £40. Did not fulfil the order, so requested a refund! Two months on and still no refund! Avoid this company at all costs, they are total con artists.

Lightupuk / Electrics uk

Like many others I have been robbed by this companies method of trading, namely, take order and payment for goods they do not have and cannot supply then withhold any refund.
They have withheld my repayment of just short of one hundred pounds for about TEN WEEKS and have now stopped responding to my emails.
I cannot understand how they have avoided the attention of trading standards.
Their website is apparently down at tha moment but should it reappear AVOID as a one star rating grossly over rates this company.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - YOU CANNOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE

Placed an order in good faith [happy to share verification], and waited months on the promise that stock was on back order. Finally gave up and asked for a refund. The request was confirmed, but I've now been waiting months for the refund. Next step is to contact trading standards, as well as the police - selling stuff you don't have and hanging onto the money sounds like a criminal activity to me.

Would give no stars if I could

Come on Lightup, you were quick enough to take my money. Now you don't even have the decency to respond to emails. You are getting SERIOUSLY BAD reviews on here. Either send the goods or refund MY money. Will never use your company again and will make sure nobody I know does either.

At best, a seriously disorganized company, at worst, fraudulent

I ordered an outdoor LED light from Light Up UK on the 1st of September. On the 12th of September I chase them to see where it is, on the 14th of September I receive the reply below. It is not the 11th of December and since the email below no contact from Light Up UK, nothing. They have had my money for over 2 months and I still have not received anything. I asked for my money back today - I would advise anyone who is reading this to avoid this company like the plague - you will regret it, just read all the reviews here on this site.

I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience incurred this far; there has been a breakdown in communication our end. You should have been made aware that we have had unforeseen delays with our suppliers resulting in longer than expected lead times.

Your order is due into us but unfortunately we are reliant on suppliers and courier companies at this moment.
Please be assured that we are doing our upmost to get this resolved for you as swiftly as possible.

We will keep this order on back order unless requested otherwise and have your order listed as a priority.

Once again please accept my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Kindest regards
Electrics UK

Where's my goods !

It all started on the 23rd September where I ordered a substantial of switches and sockets.....................it is now 7the December and I am still awaiting for some of the products to arrive and they will not respond to my emails!
I will now put the order in dispute with my C/Card company for the full amount as I have some of the order which clearly we wanted to match through the home and cannot finish but they have had my money!!!
Avoid dealing with this shambles of a company at all costs!

AVOID

I am fed up with emailing and trying to contact this company about my order which I first placed on 4 November, it is now 5 December. I was originally told the lights I ordered were out of stock (despite nothing on the website advising of this) so I accepted a substitute but nothing has happened. I have today asked for a refund but judging from other customer's experiences I doubt I will get it.

NEVER RECEIVED GOODS

Onto disputes at my credit card company now to get a refund. Their website is down - hopefully for good. If something seems to cheap there is usually a reason. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

No goods, no means of contacting them

I only wish i'd read the reviews before placing the order.
The goods concerned (an extension lead) never came and all attempts to contact the company have failed.
Their phone lines are dead (as in, no ringing tone at all). Even their so called freefone line.
The contact section of the website is permanently 'down for maintenance' and emails are not answered.
This outfit has all the hallmarks of a scam.
I have reported the matter to the credit card company but this lot should be investigated by trading standards.

The Reviews Were Right

After ordering a product (RCD extension lead - Order number 60290) on Fri 18/11, which was due to be delivered by the latest Thur 24/11, I have still not heard a peep from anyone as to where my missing delivery is.

I didn't bother reading the reviews before I ordered but I wish I had.

I've tried to contact the business, only to find that none of the contact numbers I can find connect and the public website is down. I thought I'd email today, and I've got no response.

More than anything, it's been a massive waste of time and I have a funny feeling, just like everyone else, I'll be least chasing a refund for weeks if not months.

PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Fortunately for me, it was only £30ish worth of kit, but from the reviews a lot of others have lost more money.

AVOID.

Order no. 57335
Like so many other people I was left out of pocket and without goods due to the antics of this so called company.
I ordered goods costing approx. 73 pounds only to be informed almost 3 weeks later that the item was not in stock. I promptly cancelled my order and was informed that I would be refunded within 10-14 days. My refund never came. Some emails later I eventually received a message to say that Lightup UK are in a dispute with Worldpay and that I should take up the issue with my bank. This is what I did and thankfully my bank did recover my money.
I do not understand how this company can take money for goods that they do not have in stock. Terrible service and not even deserving one star.
Item was ordered on 24th July, refund received 14th October.
