DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

After filling out the form on their website I was sold on Little Gay Book by Camille Woodward, then upsold to one year of "expert personalized matchmaking service with Dr. Frankie herself only offered to VIP clients." I was quoted a discounted price of $75,000. I negotiated that down to $65,000 which was to be paid in two cash installments via wire. Their contract contains language that you can't use social media to research their introductions without fear of being fired by them and forfeiting your fees which is just crazy, given 1) it's 2025 and 2) they DO NOT VET the people they introduce you to. With obvious concern for my safety in mind I removed that language. They accepted the change, but tried to enforce their policy through a bizarre introduction process. I also added language that I was contracting directly with Dr Frankie, vs her company or associates. I kicked my service off with a get-to-know-you session with Dr Frankie, arranged by Camille who is effectively her personal assistant. She asked me for criteria. Within a day of our session she said she had a match for me - it was a woman in my social circle in my town. So much for my privacy! She gave me the first name, which is an unusual one, and I happened to know who the person was. She's a friend of ex! We have met and I knew her full name, so I did some online searching. What I found was shocking. Her social media posts were enough to get her on the terror watch list. She had also posted about how she was too broke to retire. Clearly unvetted and with serious issues. I contacted Dr Frankie and told her I did not want to move forward with the introduction and she was not happy - telling me "the internet lies" and "money is not an indication of matchability" etc etc. She told me she wanted me to "trust her process" and pushed hard. After I declined again she had Camille send me an email saying I'd be moved to a different matchmaker! After being sold and paying for the premium VIP service with her personally I was pushed down the ranks without so much as a discussion - be aware this is what they do when you don't listen to Dr Frankie! For the record I've not heard from Dr Frankie herself since. Camille set up a meeting with my second matchmaker, who it turns out was good - much better than Dr Frankie and much cheaper (so why would you pay for the premium service then?) She listened, and tried hard to find a match based on my criteria, she was available for regular meetings, kept me informed etc. Actually a good experience and one that might have ended up with a match - EXCEPT a month into our relationship she quit Little Gay Book, and they did not handle that well at all. Despite the fact that my new matchmaker had given two weeks notice I was not informed. I found out because I was stood up on a scheduled weekly call. I had to send Dr Frankie an email asking why she failed to show up and what I got back was a bizarre email saying that I'd be working with a third matchmaker, again without a conversation, check in, nothing. Number 3 Denise Rai got on the phone with me and it was very clear there had been zero turnover. Not only with my matching details but also with the candidates I'd been told were in in flight, which all sounded great, but at least one of which was only known to the matchmaker who quit! So much for that! Denise didn't even know how to set up a Zoom, which is the way they introduce you to people who don't live in your home town. Denise set up one meeting, which was terrible. The woman was at work at the time of the call and was nice enough but have cared less. She was a personal triend of one of the matchmakers and despite that didn't send feedback on the "date" for two weeks. The saga doesn't end there. Denise went AWOL and after a week or two of no contact again with out consultation I was called by "Lisa" to tell me I'd been reassigned again I'd be working with a fourth matchmaker, making that four different matchmakers in 3 months. The 4th matchmaker was a "new hire" and when I got her name I checked her out. Her name is Karin Vacakis. From her LinkedIn profile it appears she was an HR administrator at a paint company until about two years ago and since then has been an assistant at Just Lunch. She scheduled another 90 minute "get to know me session" and from my experience and her profile it's obvious this is her first actual matchmaking role. So much for the premium VIP service I was sold. There is no other way to describe this than bait and switch supported by brutally inadequate business management. I've dealt with every person who works for them at this point and can say that none of them - not Dr Frankie nor anyone else there can be trusted with your money, much less with your personal dating life. They have actively demonstrated a profound lack of professionalism and caring.
