If you need to look at logs you need this. Fast loading and parsing of large log files and plenty of features to analyse logs once they are loaded.

If you don't like to build (compile) free code to view logs yourself or pay big money for big brand products, it is recommended to use this reasonably priced product. Toby and their team did a great job for you.

This is an excellent application - great UI and performance is optimal

The product greatly simplifies working with large log files. It easily parses various formats, lets apply different filters. I use it on a daily basis in my work.

High quality logger. The developer responds quickly. All problems are fixed regardless of the subscription level.

Moving on from my last Windows log viewer, which out of respect for the company I will not name because they have several other excellent apps, this was like the daytime was revealed. Absolutely fantastic "penetration" of log files, so they can really talk to me. I'll rate this a 4.75 because of _slight_ instability, especially while tailing heavy remote files. Feature rich, and very intuitive. Bravo.

The very cool feature is the ability to create the hierarchy of folded search results. Also it's convenient to view FIX protocol messages and merge several log files.

A great product and an excellent support team. They've been very responsive to my bug reports about new features, and have been helpful in getting me up and running since I ordered the software. I'm very happy.

LogViewPlus is a really great tool for viewing and analysing easily logs, all kind of logs, locally or remotely, and is very flexible with its parsers, a must have for sysadmins !
The only missing feature is a marketplace like feature to share custom logs formats or custom parsers to get it even quicker to adopt for new users that don't want to struggle with configuration and fine tuning out-of-box, but I think it's just a matter of time before we see such feature natively available ;-)

As a software engineer, log output is critically important to me.

LogViewPlus is to logs as shovels are to dirt and gravel. If your job requires you to move and sort through a lot of stuff, you could do it by hand, but you could do it a lot more efficiently and effectively with good tools. LogViewPlus changes the entire experience of working with log output. It's a development revelation.

I love it. It does just about everything I new it to do out of the box. I wonder, is it possible to calculate dps from a log file using LVP?

Very good for my needs. I operate a web site in which I write error and troubleshooting information to a text log on the remote server. This app has the ability to monitor that file in real time via FTP and tail it to me. Very helpful!

I was searching for a logging tool to assist me during a difficult development issue. To troubleshoot the issue I had to analyze daily over 5GB of advanced sl4j debug logs. Without LogViewPlus I don't think I could ever find the root cause. I'm working as a developer for over 24 years. This is the best Logging Tool I've ever used so far.

I am a software engineer. LogViewPlus is an amazing tool for monitoring various log files. It has some very flexible and easy to use features for parsing, merging and filtering all kinds of log files. User settings can be saved as templates and workspaces. I love the fact that it is a desktop application with fast performance and an excellent user interface design. This is one of the most useful and best designed software tools that I've ever used.

Bonus: I have not seen any other software providing the level of trust like LogViewPlus. It provides a legitimate and trackable company number on the UK government website, a digital signature of the exe, AND the instructions on how to verify LogViewPlus is running offline (not secretly connecting to the internet). This is a really good tool for log files. In fact, the tool itself is an excellent tool. Very versatile, very fast, and mostly intuitive. If reviewing on just the performance of the tool, and support received it would be 5 stars.
The part where the tool lacks is the documentation and parsing wizard. What I've found is that the tool WILL parse almost any type of file you throw at it. Figuring out how to do that is not always easy and the parsing wizard is good at saying "fix the indicated error" but no error is indicated. That is frustrating.
BUT....response from support on questions and suggestions has been phenomenal! In every instance that I've had a question or program suggestion the question was answered promptly and several of the suggestions were in the next release. I can't say enough about the support.

Bottom line---- this is an excellent tool!! If you can't get it to work with a log file, contact support. They will help. If you need it to do something different....contact support. If it makes sense, they will try to do it.

It is a very good tool. I would appreciate even more intelligent automatic log parser for unknown logs.
