I absolutely love this venue and could fault nothing - the sun shone the day we went! The songs and dancing were great in CATS - but I spent a long time trying to find a story there where there was none. I should perhaps have done more research before booking but it doesn’t affect any future decision to come back to this theatre!

It was my first time seeing Cats and I must say I wasn’t entirely sure what I was looking at at first. But as a show went on the choreography, the voices, the commitment to being cat… It was truly extraordinary and I completely get the hype. I loved it and would definitely say it again.

It was an excellent version of the classic Cats. Great characterisation of each character, excellent singing, wonderful movement and dance throughout and a beautiful, enchanting outdoor theatre setting. So wonderful to see Cats once again and re-live the magic after 30 years from last seeing live.
Brilliant show all round, talent, dancing, costumes
The show and setting was simply magical. I enjoyed every minute. Outstanding performance. I was in heaven all evening. Thank you.
The experience at the Open Air Theatre was wonderful. Everything was very smooth, from arriving at the venue to getting seated. The food was good, and the drinks were reasonably priced. It was especially touching to hear all those familiar songs performed in such a beautiful open-air setting. The stage design and overall production were very well thought out, and the performances were fantastic. I can’t believe the team managed to bring such a fresh and completely new experience to a musical that has been around for almost 45 years. A truly memorable evening!
Definitely worth seeing this reimagined classic
I was quite surprised by the stage setting, which took place outdoors rather than in a traditional theatre for such a famous musical. Unfortunately, this was also one of the main reasons for my disappointment, as I am a huge fan of Cats.I have watched the original production videos many times and have also seen the traditional stage version in Hong Kong. Compared with those productions, the stage design here felt overly simplified. The costumes and makeup made it difficult for me to feel that I was watching Cats rather than The Lion King. I understand that an outdoor venue may impose certain limitations on the creative and technical aspects of the performance. However, considering the ticket price, I believe a more suitable venue could have been chosen to overcome these challenges. As for the performers, there were quite a few distracting elements that prevented me from fully immersing myself in the story. At times, some vocals seemed out of tune, and the timing, coordination with the music, and body movements did not meet the standard I would expect from a professional musical production. I am not sure whether these issues were related to the musical direction or the cast itself. Overall, the quality of the performance fell below my expectations. As a long-time fan of Cats, I left feeling disappointed.
Fabulous show! We all loved it!
We really enjoyed the production of Cats on Saturday 29th August. The cast coped very well with the showers and the stop / start production. Everyone was very good- the music was amazing and the dancing was superb. We would recommend anyone to see this while it’s on.

I love the performances and costumes but I miss a more developed plot twist. It is a problem with the play itself, not the actors work. Anyway, I enjoyed it.
