The talent was exceptional — honestly far beyond what I expected. The cast were incredible and the performances really brought the characters and story to life. Considering Death Note is a 37 episode anime, fitting the story into a two hour musical is no easy task, but I thought they did an amazing job. The story was told incredibly well without feeling like too much had been cut out and even as someone who knows and loves the original story, I felt it captured what makes Death Note so great. Death Note is one of my favourite animes, so I had pretty high expectations and, if anything, the musical surpassed them. It genuinely did the anime justice, which I think is the biggest compliment I could give it. A fantastic show from start to finish, and one I would absolutely recommend to both Death Note fans and people who have never seen the anime. I came out absolutely blown away. Definitely one of the best musical adaptations I’ve seen.

I think it's a Brilliant production and has remained fairly faithful to the main story as I understand it needs to be compacted in the time frame available. I love all the moving props as it really adds another layer of immersion into the story as well as being very visually impactful.

I wasn't sure what to expect, so I didn't expect to be blown away as much as I was with the performance! It was soo good, everyone performed incredibly ! The casting for "L" was absolutely spot on, amazing ! Percect movements throughout the show, gorgeous singing voice too! "Light" was perfect, the facial expressions, the changes in his character throughout the show and his singing voice ! Absolutely superb ! And the duet between "Rem" and "Gelus" was beautiful, their voices sounded amazing together. I wish it was an ongoing production, as I definitely want to see it again !
