Ghost Stories didn't disappoint, it did exactly what it said it would, scared us to death! Very clever, thoroughly enjoyed.
Great show , only thing that made us annoyed is , being near one of the exits. We was told before going in that there was no interval , if we were to go out to use the facilities we was not allowed back in as this would disturb the show! At least 20-30 people kept getting up to go out and come back in again which would the restrict our view and disrupt the show. .
I personally thought the show was slow. I felt tired when I left. It wasn’t scary at all. Very disappointed tbh. I was expecting more
Excellent, we jumped out of our skins on a regular basis
Ghost story was just ok. A bit short and could gave had longer and eerier scenes and less lecture type chit chat in between. To have no interval is odd, and to be told on arrival if you go to the loo you cannot go back in for 30 minutes is ridiculous. Actors and the few scary scenes were good. I could have written a better, scarier production.
The show was great! Only issue was, people next to us and behind us being really rude and obnoxious about people eating their snacks!
An ok production. Read many positive reviews saying how scary it was. It really wasn’t. Great acting, but if you’re expecting to be frightened as per other reviews, you’ll be disappointed.
Outstanding. Writing, acting and stage craft all brilliant. Fantastic whilst there and seems even better on reflection.
Loved it, it’s perfect for autumn evening! The story was told so well that when it’s ended was like, oh wow where did time go! It’s so well planed and so well written that it’s makes you go forward in the seat and be part of the play! Thank you!
Amazing experience all around, would highly recommend!
A bloodcurdling, startling show...
It’s a pity the theatre does not stick to the policy of no late arrivals and people leaving are allowed to re enter
Not want I though it would be, very well done and the timing of the frightening things was prefect. Did jump once (or twice) but the rest of the crowd screamed and clapped when they should. Also loved the fact I recognized a couple of the actors and liked them from previous work.
I thought the show was very boring. Ive seen tons of west end shows and this was by far the worst. It was dull and had no feeling. Just felt like i was watching 2 old men dossing about on stage. No interval. Left early
I found this show very dull and boring. The build up to the “scary” moments go on for too long and when the scary moments happen it’s underwhelming. I did hear another audience member say they thought it was great. So just shows it’s subjective and this is my opinion. I thought it was so slow and there is so many pauses and waffling monologue’s it could be done in 45 minutes.
Absolutely terrible, please do not waste your money. I feel for those who must of paid nearly £70! Aside from the occasional loud noises there is nothing remotely scary or jumpy about this. I’ve seen better productions in village halls. The acting was mediocre at best. The storyline was very simple with a twist, but very poorly portrayed. You’ll leave thinking what on earth did I just sit through that for! Terrible is an understatement!
It was absolutely good, all the actors were amazing and good. The mix of making you jump and the plot twists of the storyline were literally a masterpiece!
Excellent production. I saw Ghost Stories on its original West End run. Over a decade later it hasn’t lost any of its brilliance.
Great actors, good stories. Impressive set. Excellent sound effects.
