The dancing was very good, but I didn’t feel the male lead had the best voice, however, thinking about it nor did Fred Astaire! This show was very uplifting for the world we live in. The venue didn’t have the best acoustics for the narrative. But all in all a lovely, happy, pleasing show. I’m not sure why they had to have a gay couple (their backs to us) by the fountain in the show. I dont know why everything has to be so inclusive when it just wasn’t relevant to the show. I’m just being realistic because you couldn’t include a wheelchair user in a tap routine!

This show had all the ingredients to be very good - live orchestra (even though the audience couldn’t see them), great songs, spectacular costumes, clever staging and lighting, and tap dancing. But it lacked heart. I felt no chemistry between the two leads, who performed as if by rote. Even the glitzy company numbers didn’t stop me from wishing it was over.

Mediocre at best. A lacklustre performance with faulty technical equipment. Boring leads whose acting was unconvincing. There was no spark between the two and their outfits didn’t work with the dancing. A white suit with baggy trousers is a no go for tap dancing. The singing lacked volume and charisma. And basic mistakes like swinging your elbows should not happen to professional dancers. It wasn’t all bad, the supporting couple was actually pretty good. Would I want to see the show a second time? Probably not.

It was uplifting and there were some great performances. It didn’t quite have the wow factor for me. I would have liked to have been more aware of the wonderful band, who in my opinion absolutely made it. I couldn’t make out where they actually were or was it a recording, although the conductor was visible on screen. Was he conducting the ensemble?

What a joyous production of this Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire film. Watched these films as a child so new of the songs . The dances the cast pulled off on a very small stage were amazing . Really recommend this .
