I've had Loxone installed in my home for almost a year now and have had no issues. I did my research on the company, and had my installation done by an installer whom I reviewed & trusted to complete my system. Seamless control of climate, lighting, and temperature monitoring.
I feel that as long as you do the research into who you're getting to install your system, Loxone is a great all-in-one fit for the home :-)
They do not stand behind their products when issues arise.
I have had Loxone installed in my home for the past two years and it has been brilliant. I recommend all my family and friends to look at having Loxone installed. I love the amount of control I have over my home. Automatic Lighting makes life so much easier, the intelligent heating control makes my home so much more comfortable!
Unsurprisingly, there is no secondhand market for Loxone kit - what a truly awful system:
1) A user must PAY Loxone installer £400 +VAT per day to get an installer to make changes - or you can pay a subscription of £50 per month - JUST TO TURN YOUR HEATING ON AN OFF!!!!
2) You can only configure it on a PC - not on the app, and not a Mac.
3) Loxone Help dept take an hour off at lunch time!!! So pray your heating/hot water/alarm etc.etc. don't break down during an inconvenient time for Loxone.
Hello all
This is my experience is as a reseller and installer.
When I heard of loxone it looked amazing and I was sold, I wanted to install it in my own house sell to others.
I ordered everything for my house fancy glass light switches, valves, motion sensors, remotes and all my blindmotors.
Unfortunately a few years in all my battery devices started making bad contacts because the battery hold down system was just plain badly designed
Later 10 of my valves started leaking (because of floor heating zones caused cracks in my floor) then recently my blinds started randomly opening at night but in the app shows everything is still closed.
I have about 5 to 7 tickets with loxone but got no answers and remember I was a silver level installer.
Luckily I barely sold loxone to customers and it was more of a side job/hobby.
But as a customer and installer I warn people the support from loxone is terrible, the products are expensive and most of all the product are simply said bad and unreliable.
I never sold another loxone system again.
The lack of support from loxone it self means that as an installer or reseller you are on your own.
I loved loxone when they started but sadly they dropped the ball later on.
Don't get it and don't sell the system.
The customer service really needs to improve, as I sent them an email the 4th of January 2021 and received their answer the 17th of July 2021 stating they could not help me and that the "ticket" was closed. Of course! I had to figure out myself a way to solve the problem with both the app and the web system to set up the air-con and heating machine.
It's amazing product just need to find good installer. Endless options and upgrades company do on software gives even more confidence to choose loxone.
I am very unhappy with the whole Loxone arrangement. My electrician identified Loxone as the preferred solution for my needs having spoken to a Loxone Partner (James Stockton-Link) who was fully briefed of my requirements including the make of the blinds I wanted to incorporate.
I went ahead with the installation of all the required wiring and mini server at significant expense, but when it came to commissioning and programming the system the partner discovered he was not able to program the blinds - and blamed me for choosing the wrong blinds - I started with the blinds and thenvchose Loxone to control them based on his advice !!
After 3 days of doing and fro-ing and studying YouTube as his point of reference he was still unable to finish the programming, but he assured me that he now had the answer and he would complete the programming remotely. That was nearly 3 months ago and nothing has happened since - other than numerous messages, emails and voicemails from me - none of which have been answered.
I get a similar lack of response fro Loxone customer support, who advise that the partners are independent. It appears that they don't car who they give partner status too as long as they get paid to train them - and then the customer is on their own.
I would agree with a previous reviewer - avoid Loxone and deal with a company that takes care of the installation themselves.
Expensive mistake
Incompetent installers..... having to take 2 of them to the small claims court for £60k+ As neither was able to compete the job.
First installer a loxone cerified gold installer and the second a personal recommendation from the loxone M.D... all incompetent and despite the recommendations loxone unwilling to get involved to sort. All they are interested in is selling units, they do not care how well the unit intsalled it the actions of their installers.....I invited them many times to come and inspect my installation, but always refused....I would liken it to cigarette companies refusing to do research into the product, as they desperately done want to know the answer.
3.5 years after the installation was meant to be complete, its still not it’s like living in a haunted house. Despite them having. Incompetent installers loxone still refuse to get involved.... sadly .... I am left with little alternative than to replace the system.
If you value you time, money and sanity.... go for another system....or don’t bother at all....it really is the worth it!
If anyone else has similar experience, please comment with your email address as I would love to share experiences
