Misrepresenting my business

Hi, everyone.
This company has been misrepresenting my locksmith business for the past 1 and half.
I run LRS Locksmith Limited in Liverpool.
You can go on google maps and that will be the only LRS locksmith youll find in the UK.
I have been running the business for 10 years, I give the kind of service I would want to receive and my reviews prove it.
Since this bastard(and most likely his friends) starting misrepresenting my business on Sponsored Google adverts, Iv'e been receiving negative reviews like the ones here on my google business page.
Please make sure that when you call over a services, the website states where they are located and not a vague location, they have an email or something other than a phone number, what their business is registered as and ask for prices all the time.
You can go on companies house and look into my business if this isnt sufficient information.
Was gonna leave my google maps and website page but Trustpilot doesnt allow it.

All the best
Lish, LRS locksmith Limited

Do not use

Do not use! Said it was family firm in Earley. Charged me over £1300 to drill for new lock, told about drilling and lock costs but not callout fee or labour charge. I am female on my own and could not cope with confrontation if I queried it. Feeling very foolish

Con artists - avoid!

Con artists. They take advantage of people in difficult situations by quoting ridiculous prices. Tried to charge £440 exc vat, £295 of that is for just the gear box ("good price and good discount that is" he said) I found that one part for £35 online. I expect there's always going to be a markup on items but they try their luck and most people will pay it as they're stuck. He would not tell me the name of the part or brand to prevent me looking it up and calling him out sooner, fortunately I found it on my own. He did not like me calling him out on the price and trying to mug me off. This sort of disgusting company should never be in business.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. SCAMMERS!

Please avoid at all costs. Quoted £40 for a lock change and charged £726, for a job that would not cost more than £250. Added additional nonsense charges - use of drill charge (which should be included in labour), a call out fee (was not quoted when asked on the phone) and more. Cowboys wanting a quick pay day by scamming innocent people. Read reviews before calling them out! I will be reporting to trading standards.

Steer clear scammers who abuse people…

Steer clear scammers who abuse people with extortionate pricing . Was told £45 over phone to call out and was made to believe unless difficult this would be the price . Guy managed to open the door with airbag and then said it would be £81+vat when no mention of vat prices over phone. He then said he would need to comeback next day and replacement lock would be £350-£500 . on that we told him we would go elsewhere. I looked at lock next day and checked images online to establish make and model of lock and also found that a single part was common issue. bought part and fitted myself for £10 . to add even a new lock was only £100. In short as per other reviews these guys are rip off scammers.

Scam locksmith

Scam locksmith. Needed an emergency front door entry after having locked ourselves out - was overcharged by more than double, and was almost pressured into purchasing an extraordinarily overpriced replacement lock. The lock that was then installed was the incorrect size, poor quality and enormously overpriced anyway. Managed to get a partial refund by threatening a chargeback and legal action.

Do Not recommend

Completely took advantage of a vulnerable situation ( I had locked myself out with my sleeping twin grand babies indoors) . He attended withinin 40 mins, tried to force the door open without success then took an hour to drill the lock. He charged me £310 and has completely ruined the door handle, and left mess everywhere. This is the second time I’ve locked myself out, the previous chap took 30 seconds to get in and picked the lock.

Bait and switch pricing

Bait and switch pricing. A £120 job became £500 for a partial job after they arrived late and pressured my wife in to going ahead as 'what other option do you have?' - we had other options had they turned up on time. Absolute scammers.

claimed £260 then charged £700 after work done.

Turned up on time, had a look at the lock and told me it needed replacing. I asked if they could just look at the mechanism and fix so I don't have to have a new key, and they said yes for £260, I say go for it.

I come back 15 minutes later to a completely new lock and a £700 bill. I could replace the door for that! He claimed that he told me the price, but I ask if he ever mentioned a number above £260, but then he said it's all the costs together.

I feel absolutely scammed. The guy also said "I don't make the prices", but actually you do... it's your business! Please heed the reviews here! I WISH I had checked first.

DO NOT USE

As all the reviews state - ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS!

My partner locked himself out. Was quoted initially £45. Then they said they were unable to access the door so it would be £180 plus vat to drill the lock. This was agreed.

Like everyone else's experience. After the job was done. He was invoiced £642!!! Being home alone in this situation makes it difficult to contest.

Please AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Tried to take advantage of me

Tried to take advantage of me by providing a ridiculous quote of nearly £400 to change shed lock. Also used the mobile number +44 7538 737576.

When I tried a more reputable business they quoted £79. Avoid this company, they are ripping people off.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam! Firstly I called them, I was told it would be 30 minutes - they turned up 1 hour later. The guy was rude straight away, I was told £45 call out fee. Then he said £230 to drill the lock. He was very impatient while we decided what to do. He then said if he leaves now the call out fee is £89 - what a joke. Just making up numbers and adding extra money for no reason. We decided to go ahead as we were desperate to get inside and we had already waited an hour. He drilled - very badly the lock but managed to do it. He then said the fee was £276 as it VAT on top of- TOTAL SCAM. He was rude and unpleasant also. DO NOT USE THEM.
