I ordered a 20L drum of Shell transmission oil and one can of brake cleaner spray.
The order was shipped with the shipping label directly on the retail container,
with a little transparent film over the middle to hold the spray can onto the oil container -- totally and completely unprotected.
Besides offering zero protection, it is illegal to ship dangerous goods like this.
The oil drum arrived leaking, and the spray is missing its cover and nozzle.
Lubweb refused to replace the damaged items stating that it would be "too expensive and not guaranteed".
Instead, Lubweb tried to coerce me into accepting the damaged goods. Given his maneuvering I'd bet he does this routinely.
When I refused, he tried to file an insurance claim with DPD, even though the fault is entirely Lubweb's for failing to package the order properly, i.e., it would be a fraudulent insurance claim.
Lubweb uses Avis Verifies to create a positive online image.
Avis Verifies is a marketing website that masquerades as a Review Website,
where merchants pay for highly curated (positive) reviews.
Don't believe the hype.
